Opening hours at the spa:
Monday to Thursday: 11.00 am to 8.00 pm, Friday 11.00 am to 9.00 pm, Saturday 9.00 am to 8.00 pm and Sunday 9.00 am to 8.00 pm.

Friday to Sunday we have Spa Slots that may be reserved in advance.

Please note that children under 12 years are only allowed in the spa area from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm and need to be accompanied by an adult. Children from 12 to 16 years of age in the company of an adult have unlimited access to the spa area.

Das Essen im Jack‘s war weit unter dem Hotelniveau. Wir haben den Hauptgang nicht gegessen. Rösti war wie Plastik und das Fleisch sehr zäh!!!! Da müssten die Restaurant-Prüfer massiv über die Bücher

Zimmer gut, Frühstück mangelhaft.
Pros:

Die Lage ist absolut zentral und die Zimmer sind perfekt. Direkt am Bahnhof und nur unweit der Altstadt mit vielen Einkehr- und Verweilmöglichkeiten.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war schwierig. Irgendwie hatte ich den Eindruck, die haben das erste Mal Gäste, die auch noch Frühstück essen wollen.

Das Personal war schon beim Einlass in die hauseigene "Brasserie Jack's" überfordert. Es gibt da einen schmalen Durchgang vom Hotel - wenn es nicht schnell vorwärts geht, so steht man eingeklemmt in einer kleinen Türe und blockiert auch noch die Gäste, die den Frühstücksraum verlassen wollen. Obwohl der Saal nur halb gefüllt war, konnte das Personal nicht sicherstellen, dass es auf den zugewiesenen Tischen auch Besteck hatte und der Service mit Kaffee und die Eierbestellung kam, als wir schon fast fertig waren mit dem Frühstück.

Für ein solches Haus darf das nicht so sein.

Mostly glorious stay with one questionable issue
Pros:

Mostly great stay at one of the best hotels in the city. Very spacious room, luxurious bathroom products, overall accommodations. Turndown service and housecleaning was excellent.

Front desk service was top notch, warm and friendly. Location is perfect if you are planning to use train system for daytripping out of the city. Jungfraujoch was a bucket list experience and the hike down from Eigergletscher to Grindelwald at the height of spring was a storybook experience. Our stay was almost perfect at the Schweizerhof.

The security person in the foyer did aggressively ask us when we were returning to the hotel at 11:00pm one night if we were actually guests of the hotel as we were entering the front door. He seemed suspicious and acted like he didn’t believe we belonged at the hotel.

It did feel like we were 'singled out' because one of us is a person of color, a mixed race person. We understand this is an issue in Switzerland and probably around Europe. It certainly is in the US. But we clearly entered the hotel and had room cards to go up the elevator, so the question felt unnecessary, hostile and racially motivated. After showing him the room card we were able to come upstairs. But he didn’t apologize or welcome us back to the hotel. Perhaps it is the policy of the hotel to ask guests after a certain time of day upon entering if they “belong” at the hotel. But it didn't go over well with us and left a bad taste in our mouths about the otherwise wonderful stay.

Muy lindo. La habitación cómoda. Buen servicio en general.

Cons:

No tiene bidet el baño. Pero eso no hay en ningún lugar en Europa y USA. Deberían reconsiderar colocarlos

Central, large rooms but costly
Pros:

Very spacious and nice room. We stayed in April during a bit of a warm period. The rooms apparently have air conditioning but the lowest setting is 20 Celcius and it didn't appear to do anything; not sure the room every cooled to 20 degrees. The lighting has some odd combination switches that turn more than one lamp on (and off) at a time but the switches and light control is very finicky. Close to the train station and right at the edge of the old town and attractions, very walkable location.
