If you are looking for a well located affordable option, this is your way to go
Pros:

the room is small but cozy. The location is excellent, since you are a walking distance to the main points in Amsterday; good access to public transport and a bonus of the Amstel river view with the famous city canals.

Cons:

The one thing I disliked was the suicide stars to the upper floors and no option of lifts. It was not comfortable to drag a bag luggage up and down. Hate the way the A/C can't be turned on or off, but that's Europe.

Hotel Hermitage, well worth it!!!
Pros:

Everything about it, location was near the tram which was only a few stops from Dam square. Over one of the bridges 2 mins walk was one of the events we did " the ice bar" . Asked staff member to book me a taxi for 4am flight, this arrived without an hassle. Will definitely return to this fabulous hotel.

Nothing I didn't like.

Le lit

Cons:

Chambre mal isolée dans tous les sens du terme. Il faisait froid (pas de vraies couettes, c’était drap et couverture et pas de couverture en sus..
On était au rez de chaussée, collée à l’entrée de l’hôtel et du comptoir. On entendait très fort la rue, les entrées dans l’hôtel et la chambre au dessus de nous (on les entendait marcher, traîner leurs valises et parler!! )… De l’autre chambre on entendait les allers et venues du comptoirs, et la le ballon d’eau chaude de la salle de bain de l’autre chambre!
Rien n’a été fait côté hôtel, pas d’arrangement physique ni d’arrangement financier…
Ils devraient prévenir que la chambre est au rez-de-chaussée et bruyante… Quand on est là pour faire la fête à la rigueur ça ne dérange pas, mais quand on est là pour bosser…

Prachtige locatie wel wat te rumoerig om vooraan bij de ingang te slapen. Deur sluit niet goed af waardoor er steeds een licht kier uit de deur rechtstreeks in de kamer terecht komt en het slapen niet altijd bevorderlijk maakt. Vriendelijke personeel en verder en een kneus hotelletje

Een super fijne plek om te overnachten
Pros:

Perfecte locatie, een prachtig pand met geweldig uitzicht. Het personeel is ontzettend attent.

Cons:

De badkamer zag er super netjes uit maar er zat totaal geen druk op de douchekop waardoor douchen van links naar rechts springen was om een beetje warm te blijven en water over je heen te krijgen
