Aquashow Park Hotel

This was amazing! It was so much better than even expected. While one adult stayed with our daughter, the others could visit the adults only area which was so perfect! There were many activities out of the water for kids too. The activities were put on by the very friendly staff. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The best! The room was just right for us. Everything was clean at the hotel and the indoor water park.

Our stay at Aquashow Park Hotel was fantastic from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome — friendly smiles at reception, quick check-in, and a sense that nothing was too much trouble.

The room was spotless, modern, and surprisingly quiet, with a balcony overlooking the pool. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay — great beds, strong air conditioning, and thoughtful touches that made a difference.

Breakfast deserves a special mention: fresh fruit, good coffee, local pastries, and plenty of choice for both kids and adults. Every morning felt like a good start to the day.

But what really stood out was the staff. From the restaurant team to housekeeping, everyone was kind, helpful, and genuinely cared that we were having a good time. A special thank-you to Ted, who was amazing with the kids — creative, patient, and full of light. From baking sessions to painting and playful moments, he made every child feel seen and included. You rarely meet someone who brings that kind of gentle energy and genuine warmth to their work.

The location is ideal — close to Vilamoura and Quarteira, and just a short drive to beautiful beaches and restaurants.

The best hotel in algarve and portugal i like it so much the people there is very nice and respectful thank you for evrything

Kids ages 4 9 & 15
Transfer to hotel was quick
Check in quick we had a connecting room 2 single beds in 1 a double bed and a sofa bed in another.
We went Half board bear in mind we came at the end of season and there was still a great variety at breakfast & dinner.
Kids options- pizza nuggets burger pasta bolognese, all fruits always.
Tea coffe milkshakes water orange apple and mango juice available with breakfast.
Menu in the hotel for lunch was also really good loads of options and not pricey. We spend around 40-60 each day that was obviously drinks lunch snacks through the day before dinner.
Indoor water park- what a hit all 3 of my kids had the best time and the photographer comes around and takes the most perfect photos we bought a few and to be honest the prices were fine.
Outside pool & indoor pool absolutely great seating area close to them and the baby pool / park area also close to the indoor play centre so if you was relaxing at the table you could watch all your children play it was honestly a great little area. We have been to many hotels and we are use to the big massive hotels with loads of grounds around and very hectic but this was an absolute dream it was so relaxing but also all my children had the best time and were never bored.
Cocktails are 10/10 all the food we had was good I can’t complain.
The staff.. well what can I say they really did make our stay and my children loved them I will add some names, these members of staff went above and beyond to ensure my family were happy and enjoying every moment -
Andrea , Cristiano, alexes, Hugo, iuri, Teddy & horacio, Big thank you to all of them for always being so great helpful and fun for my children.
No negatives to write about out family holiday here we will most definitely be back to make more memories.

Have stayed here before, and will definitely come again. it’s a really lovely hotel, fabulous staff, very clean, nice rooms. Breakfast is included in price and there’s a good variety of food and plenty of it.

Tiago at reception is the most rude person I met in hospitality business. He has no clue what is service and how to communicate with clients. Hotel itself is mediocre.

Fantastic place to stay, great staff, food and drink... really clean and the waterpark was fabulous.. Great value with the free entry..

I stayed there for 4 days this week with my family, The hotel its self was very nice and very clean.The staff were lovely and the breakfast food selection was really good aswell. Like with other hotels theres no rush in the morning to get sunbeds, when i went for breakfast at 10 there was so many sunbeds free still. The rooms were nice and spacious and the beds were so comfy. We went to the water park every day, it was so clean there and so much to do for all ages.I would really recommend this hotel to everyone (great family friendly hotel) I cant wait to come back!!

I like the hotel but it’s a middle of nowhere location wise is not the best but it’s a nice clean friendly hotel and the staff are excellence.

We love it here. This was our fourth time (2016,2017,2024,2025!).

We can’t fault this place. It’s clean, foods great and staff are super. Their English is so good which makes you feel right at home. We stayed for a week and had plenty of laughs with the staff. They went over and above - the cocktails are unreal 🔥 and the staff made my son about 10 milkshakes and never complained! Thanks so much!

Rooms are great! And housekeeping do a great job - we had our room made up every day bar one with fresh towels.

You can pay a deposit at reception for towels to save you bringing your own! They’re €10 deposit and you get it back when you return them. You can also change them regularly. We were also able to rent iron and board for €10 and got it back also on return of the items.

We can see the improvements made at the hotel since 2016 and honestly, it’s such a great spot. Mini golf is a great addition.

The Waterpark does get busy but it’s an amazing bonus staying at this hotel. You can come and go as you please and we managed to get all the slides and rollercoasters done that we wanted to!

Yes it’s isolated in comparison to Albufeira but we love this! Uber is super cheap in PT and we used it regularly to go to Vilamoura, Vale de Lobo or Quarteira for dinner! And to the beach! There are tons of nice restaurants a short car journey away - we are always spoilt for choice!

We will likely definitely return! Obrigada for another great holiday!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which lasted for 10 days. We had a family connecting room (see photos), which is 2 identical good sized rooms separated by a door. Rooms were clean and room service every day was good. Our shower was perfectly useable with a good temperature. The double bed that we had was made up of 2 single beds, but with a very large mattress. The bed was really comfortable! What looks like a mini fridge in the rooms is actually a mini bar, so it can keep things cool but not very cold.

We went for the breakfast included option as we heard that the dinner options weren't too good. We did have dinner in the hotel on the first night that we arrived (and it wasn't that good).

Breakfast options were nice (see photos), but pretty much the same every day. Breakfast available from 7:30am. We usually got there around 8am when it was still quiet, but in the last hour from 9-10am there would be quite a bit of queueing.

Our main reason for staying in the hotel was to enjoy the waterpark. We knew that it was going to be busy in August, so we used our hotel wristbands to get in early as the gates opened (10am). It was possible to get most of our favourite slides/rides done within the first hour, then the kids would try and do some others in the second hour, but by 11:30am on the days that we were there, the queues became very, very long. The big wave pool would be a nice place to chill when all the rides got busy. We were back in the hotel by midday or earlier to get on with the rest of our day. We noticed that lots of people that visited the park would set up their towels/tents/parasols etc. in the shaded grass areas below the slides all over the waterpark, basically setting up camp for the day.

Lunch choices from the hotel bar menu weren't all that bad. Salad choices were quite nice, while the kids usually settled for burgers/nuggets + chips. We became aware of nearby restaurants within easy walking distance, which we visited several times for both lunch and dinner. Our favourite one was Agostinhos.

From around 4pm each day, the hotel entertainment team would get people involved in pool games, mostly water polo. We joined in a few times, it was fun! Our kids also enjoyed using the jacuzzi and the indoor pool. If you like playing table tennis, don't forget to bring your own bats & balls. Mini golf available as well.

There always seemed to be enough sunbeds available for guests, mainly getter busier after 11am.

Our experience with the staff at the hotel was excellent. English speaking, courteous, helpful & professional. No complaints here at all. The hotel also offered options to book boat trips/tours from other companies if desired.

While we were there, the majority of guests were English speaking, but we also heard people speaking Portuguese, Spanish & French.

We had a hire car to take us into Quarteira town in the evenings for dinner. Parking in the hotel car park was quite limited. From 9:30am to 6:30pm the car park would have waterpark guests parking in the hotel car park, so we realised that moving our car from the hotel car park during the day would mean that there would be nowhere to park until the waterpark guests had left.

Evening entertainment was fairly low budget, alternating between karaoke, magic show, dance show, bingo, live music. Cocktails charged at 10 Euros. We preferred to go into Quarteira for dinner & ice cream. We weren't affected by any late night noise, maybe because we were at the end of the corridor on our floor.

This is a brilliant resort for families, with great child friendly options including a range of facilities - mini golf, indoor play areas, indoor poo and jacuzzi and outdoor pool. Great restaurant and bar onsite along with free daily entry to the famous waterpark as part of the stay.

One major area of improvement is the restaurant lunch/dinner menu which currently lacks options for vegans and/or vegetarians.
