Very good hotel inside Centre of Athlone
Pros:

Nice looking hotel inside and out. If you’re looking for a room with a view you will be disappointed- however the hotel is very clean, spacious with an excellent car park, we had 8 motorbikes with us.

Hotel seemed very quiet during the night which we really wanted and appreciated.

The rooms were big, very comfortable and pretty well equipped.

The breakfast was very good, a buffet style.

Coffee machine made nice coffee.

The service at breakfast from all staff was excellent 👍

The location is excellent for a stay in Athlone - walking distance to anywhere in the town.

Cons:

Check in staff could have been more pleasant, seemed a bit indifferent to guests.

2nd stay here….a great location near the centre of town with plenty of parking. Rooms are nice and spacey with really comfy beds.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely go back on our next trip in Athlone.

Geweldig, voor herhaling vatbaar
Pros:

Uitstekend ontbijt, genoeg keuzes en aardig personeel. gegeten hebben we hier niet. uitchecken ging eenvoudig ook hier weer een leuke aardige dame.

Cons:

wij hebben helemaal geen minpunten ontdekt, mooie schone kamer, ligbad en douche fijne bedden ruime parkeerplaats en op loop afstand van hetgeen we wilden bezoeken.

Noisy and poorly lit room made for a difficult stay.
Pros:

Room was spacious and comfortable.

Cons:

The room had a poor outlook onto a service yard. Lorries used the yard in the night and we were woken up by the reversing alarm and subsequent loading/unloading sounds. A bit later another lorry came in loading beer barrels. Additionally, the room was subject to continuous irregular knocking noises through out the night. My husband could not sleep and was exhausted before he began the 12 hr drive home. The room was also poorly lit, by natural light and artificial. The lack of adequate light in the evening was particularly frustrating.
