Location.
WiFi was a bit difficult to use. No food available on evening I stayed
Pub bar was ok
Very poor quality room. Twin room had two “beds” practically on the floor. I’m 71 years old and found difficulty getting in and out of my bed - it was just a mattress on the floor.
Good staff and great location
All good
Parking facilities were near the entrance to the property. The breakfast was of a good quality and staff were friendly. The main chef who did the breakfast on Sunday morning was brilliant and gave us a warm welcome in the morning.
We stayed in room 01. At first glance the room looked nice and the bed was comfortable, but then we started to realise that certain things were not right. The main window, which faces the main road had no curtains, which meant that the light was coming through the window all night, which lead to us having an unsettled night sleep. My partner decided to have a bath and when he started emptying the bath there was a horrible sound from the drains, which was loud enough to hear when the bathroom door was closed and it sounded like a fog horn. The hot tap in the sink moved, which meant we had to use two hands to turn the hot tap on and there were black hairs in the sink on arrival. There was only one main light, which meant that the room wasn’t lit up as well as it should have been and the side lamps weren’t good enough to light the rest of the room up. The fridge in the room was not efficient. We turned the temperature all the way up and even after our bottle of water had been in the fridge for multiple hours it was still at room temperature. There were good hot drinking facilities in the room, but there was not enough milk to last 1 night/ 2 days. When we had gone outside later on in the night, I noticed that a member of staff was vaping in the reception area. When we left the next morning, while checking we hadn’t left anything, we had a look under the bed, which lead to us finding a hanger, one dirty old white sock and wrappers from past guests food. Parking facilities at the hotel were good, but when I went to put our cases away the next morning, a car had parked so close to my car that my passengers could not get in without me having to pull out of the space completely, which meant I had to block the entrance to the car park for a couple of minutes.
Staff were brilliant, Breakfast was outstanding and huge
Free parking outside and a comfortable room. Friendly staff.
The room was a bit cold when I arrived but warmed up later. Breakfast was a bit random - I think I'd eat in the village itself next time
Good bar with Sky tv, friendly staff, quiet, attractive neighbourhood, cheery cafe round the corner.
Convenient location, basic but comfortable & clean
The man on breakfast seemed as though he didn’t want to be there!
Everything seemed too much of a problem!
Had to ask twice for brown sauce never given the option of fried poached or scrambled egg!had to help myself to coffee!
Excellent location with private entrance to accommodation. Lovely views across the fields too.. Central to cafes, restaurants and pubs and within easy access to major roads.
Was a little cold at times.
The staff were excellent. Friendly and professional.
