The staff is very helpful, the place is beautiful, the rooms are super comfortable, Jhakeline was very attentive to all the services, and her food recommendations were excellent. We loved everything. On our last day, we were lucky enough to attend the reopening of the restaurant, which had been under renovation. It was very nice. We had a problem with the drinks, but Paul resolved it. Thanks, guys!
Everything was as you would hope the stay would be. Wonderful accommodations and excellent service.
Amazing experience. We spent one night in the way to Machu Picchu and it was the perfect place to rest, adjust to the altitude and enjoy the beauty of Sacred Valley. The food was also exceptional
This hotel is very special, casitas spread around beautiful grounds, wonderful pool with views, service is impeccable, food is lovely and a great selection of wines.
Paul looked after us in the restaurant with great friendly service.
Pool sauna gym and all spotlessly clean.
Wow! An oasis of tranquility and calm. Stunning gardens, lodges, scenery and views. Wonderful friendly and attentive staff, great WhatsApp service direct to reception. The food was great in the restaurant as was room service. The pool is so inviting and there’s also a very modern mini gym. Our fire was lit each night and a hot water bottle placed in our bed! Underfloor heating. The bathroom was large with every thing you needed.
Had great massages and facials too.
Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the Sacred Valley
Oh the views of the mountains. And oh the wonderful people from host/manager Vincente to Paul, Christian and Geraldo (and everyone ) in the dining room. What professional service. You will fall in love with this place as we did. So happy we were able to stay for three nights. We took day trips to Moray to see the Incas laboratory of science. We saw potato and corn farmland, as well as a chocolate and salt shop ( with pink salt!) We loved the Salinas de Maras, the 4,000 salt ponds. And the very attractive town of Chincero. Breakfast for a king. And for dinner, everything. But especially the pappardelle with lamb ragout and the lettuce with pomegranates and avocados. What a chef! Hope to come back with our grandchildren.
Highly recommend this hotel. Their cottages were amazing, full of delightful quirky decor. Their staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The menu had many local specialties. The only problem was that portion sizes were too large!
Staying at Sol y Luna was wonderful. We absolutely loved the gardens, the service, and our casita. We stayed in a premium casita, which was very spacious and beautifully appointed, with excellent facilities and a jacuzzi.
The food and breakfasts were outstanding and something we truly enjoyed every day. We also had the opportunity to visit the Fundación, and spending an hour there was a very special and meaningful experience for us.
I wish to come back there.
the complete experience was outstanding; the lush gardens with view on the mountains, the unique interior and exterior design of the casitas, very detailed, cozy but yet luxurious. The entire resort showcases remarkable art pieces.
Further you will find modern amenities like the pool, terraces, gym and spa.
The restaurant, horse ride area and stables completes the feeling to be in South America!
The best part is though the Sol I Luna foundation. You can find out all on their website. Te fact that the revenues of the hotel go to this organisation to give children a chance to attend school and much more are the best reason to stay at the Sol i Luna hotel.
We had a lovely experience at Sol y Luna, what a beautiful property! The grounds are stunning, the casitas were relaxing and so comfortable, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend this beautiful property while you are in the Sacred Valley, it was one of our favorite properties of our 12-day trip.
I thought that the resort setting was perfect! The staff were attentive and the restaurants served delicious food. If it wasn't so far away, I would go back over and over again. A fun treat was seeing the outstanding horse show. Also special were the rooms and how the turn down service placed a little hot water bottle in the bed in the evening. Since it's so close to Machu Picchu, it was a great starting point to our trip.
Sol y Luna is one of our most favorite places to stay . Location is great , close to local restaurants if you want a change from the tasty food served at hotel , close to Sacred Valley and surrounding areas . The service is amazing with the friendliest staff ever . The casitas are lovely , separate small houses with comfy beds and lovely bathroom . Open the front door of your casita and look at the spectacular views of the Andes .. looks like 3D pictures . Breakfast is served in outside part of restaurant overlooking the Andes . Food really delicious . Dinner either inside or outside . This is the best place to stay without doubt . Thank you everyone for making our stay truly special .Nina MacRae
The accommodation and experiences at Sol y Luna were absolutely wonderful. The concept of the Hotel and rooms with excellent views made us feel very privilaged. Also full marks to all the staff right from Reception to departure their friendly and efficient service with a smile was so warm and genuine. Finally the meals and cuisine was first class. We could not recommend this accommodation more highly.
Beautiful location and facility. First class service. Definitely would go again!! Nice private room. Great breakfast.
We had a wonderful time at Sol y Luna. Our room was perfect…comfortable sleeping, lovely patio and garden, a sitting area for reading and a spectacular bathroom with a huge shower and lovely soaking tub. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and checked to see if we needed anything. Our meals…both breakfast and dinner were very good and the wait staff just right,
I was so surprised when we entered this resort. Originally, it seemed like we were in the middle of nowhere. There were lots of commercial building nearby, but nothing upscale. This resort was exuding upscale. First, the grounds were absolutely gorgeous. There were zillions of blooming flowers, shrubs and trees. I took so many pictures. When we arrived at our room, I was amazed. It was a stand along large cottage. Every single detail of this cottage was wonderful, from the bedding, the furnishings, even the aroma. The reception area and its attached restaurant were lovely. There was a large immaculate pool with a beautiful lounging area. An outdoor jacuzzi tub was nearby. We noticed a spa, but we didn’t have a chance to use it. Both restaurants were warm and welcoming and offered delicious food. The service was impeccable, everything was so perfect. I wish we had more accommodations like this in California. We loved every minute of our stay.
The hotel is very relaxing, rooms are quiet and attention to detail was incredible. We had a busy itinerary and wished we could have spent longer at the hotel.
Sol y Luna is a hidden gem in the Sacred Valley. The entrance is truly almost hidden, but once you enter the property it is a spectacular, lush oasis. The casitas are positioned for privacy and tastefully furnished. The grounds are remarkably well landscaped and groomed. The staff are attentive, but not intrusive. The food is spectacular. I cannot say enough about our experience in staying there and I highly recommend you do so if you get the opportunity.
This hotel in the Sacred Valley is absolutely beautiful. The property is composed of charming casitas set within expansive, lush gardens, offering a wonderful sense of privacy. Each casita includes its own outdoor seating area—perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The location is excellent too, close to Urubamba and several nearby restaurants.
Our casita was spacious with a fantastic bathroom, and the nightly delivery of hot water bottles was a delightful touch. We stayed for three nights and only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was outstanding every morning. Guests can enjoy it in the restaurant or outside on the patio overlooking the pool.
The pool and gym were exceptional—immaculately maintained and very peaceful. We also attended the Dancing Horse display at the stables, which was a fun and entertaining 15-minute show.
Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and efficient, adding to the charm of our stay.
Overall, this is a stunning hotel and a truly memorable experience. The addition of a fridge or mini-bar in the casitas, along with a tea and coffee station in the library for guests returning from a long day of sightseeing, would make it even better.
Renault and his team have created a peerless experience. Beyond expectations is where Sol y Luna service levels begin and it goes several stages above that.
All the small attention to detail elements are on point and charming- like the different sized robes and the option of hot water bottles delivered to your door in the evening. All the staff even the gardeners give you a genuine warm welcome.
The management seemed empowered to ensure the guest experience was fantastic and they succeded with a grace and elegance that we have rarely witnessed. Stay there it’s amazing.
