This hotel in the Sacred Valley is absolutely beautiful. The property is composed of charming casitas set within expansive, lush gardens, offering a wonderful sense of privacy. Each casita includes its own outdoor seating area—perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The location is excellent too, close to Urubamba and several nearby restaurants.
Our casita was spacious with a fantastic bathroom, and the nightly delivery of hot water bottles was a delightful touch. We stayed for three nights and only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was outstanding every morning. Guests can enjoy it in the restaurant or outside on the patio overlooking the pool.
The pool and gym were exceptional—immaculately maintained and very peaceful. We also attended the Dancing Horse display at the stables, which was a fun and entertaining 15-minute show.
Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and efficient, adding to the charm of our stay.
Overall, this is a stunning hotel and a truly memorable experience. The addition of a fridge or mini-bar in the casitas, along with a tea and coffee station in the library for guests returning from a long day of sightseeing, would make it even better.
Renault and his team have created a peerless experience. Beyond expectations is where Sol y Luna service levels begin and it goes several stages above that.
All the small attention to detail elements are on point and charming- like the different sized robes and the option of hot water bottles delivered to your door in the evening. All the staff even the gardeners give you a genuine warm welcome.
The management seemed empowered to ensure the guest experience was fantastic and they succeded with a grace and elegance that we have rarely witnessed. Stay there it’s amazing.
Beautiful hotel. Our bungalow No 30 was truly exemplary. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The pool area was amazing. Meals for breakfast, lunch and evening meal in both restaurants was extensive. The manager was delightful.
This hotel is simply heavenly! Everything about it is understated luxury, situated in an ideal position to visit all the area has to offer.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. From the gardens and landscape, infinity pool and sauna, to a spacious rooms, the service and food- just amazing!
Wonderful Casitas with large bathrooms, and very comfortable bed. Dining rooms were very good. Improvement to the rooms could be a coffee makers. While Coffee is not a prominent drink in Peru, I don't want to have to wait to go to the dining room to get a cup.
My favorite hotel in Peru. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a South American fairy tale!
🌿 Nestled within lush gardens are rows of vibrant, rainbow-kissed casitas — each one uniquely charming. Step outside onto your private terrace, and you’re greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the Sacred Valley 🏔️…
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, fabulous location with magnificent views and so peaceful. The individual Casita properties are fabulous, set in beautiful garden areas where humming birds flutter around.
The outdoor pool is a lovely place to relax with the Andes for a backdrop. The food was very good, breakfasts were al a carte and service to match.
We had a fantastic stay here.
The gardens and grounds with pool and hot tub were lovely. With mountains in the background, it was a pleasure to take in the beauty. The room was charming. I would love to return.
The property was beautiful - like a wonderland of flowers and trees surrounding cute individual casitas. The rooms were very cozy and beds very comfortable. (We loved the warmed water bottles in our bed!) Our favorite meal was the offerings for breakfast - the Acai bowl was delightful! Dinners were very gourmet and the service was impeccable! So polite and helpful. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the gym or pool.
We only had 2 nights at Sol y Luna, but wished we had more time to enjoy the
beautiful grounds! It is a stunning property! I really liked the bird guide we were given in our room!
my husband and I had a five day stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would have loved the pool to have been heated. The care to our suite was fantastic and it was a real treat to have a hot water bottle tucked into our bed at night .
Everything about Sol Y Luna is perfect - food, grounds, spa, pool, amenities, and service. Wish we could have stayed longer. So glad we chose to stay at Sol Y Luna in the Sacred Valley.
Beautiful property, quiet, great food. Casita was comfortable. Hot water bottles delivered nightly. Lovely grounds for walking
A serene oasis of an hotel - perfectly positioned to relax after a busy day exploring the Sacred Valley. Flora and fauna envelope glass walled restaurants and spa, winding down cobbled pathways to enchanting individual straw topped round rooms with wooden trussed ceilings and spacious en-suites.
Relax in the mosaic pool, hot tub, sauna or reading room with striking mountain views then dine with Peruvian horse dancing demonstration or in the terrace restaurant with it’s exceptional cuisine.
This hotel was absolutely stunning! The rooms were set in beautiful gardens, and were really well appointed, with a huge bed - and hot water bottles at night! There was a spa and a fabulous (warm) pool which, sadly, we didn’t get a chance to use. There were two restaurants on-site: one fine dining where we had breakfast (à la carte), and one where it was slightly more casual but the food was wonderful in both. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We can’t recommend it highly enough.
Extremely comfortable and clean chalets. Very spacious with good beds, nicely laid out. The hotel has fantastic facilities (gym, sauna, jacuzzi) and two good restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend for anyone visiting the Sacred Valley
Our experience with Sol y Luna was great — a unique and wonderful oasis in the Sacred Valley. We arrived with high expectations, all of which were comfortably exceeded. The team took exceptional care of us throughout. If you’re considering where to stay in the Sacred Valley, look no further. I recommend Sol y Luna with the highest enthusiasm.
What a wonderful resort. Stayed here as part of a National Geographic tour. The grounds were spectacular with flowers blooming everywhere. Individual huts instead of hotel rooms added to the charm. Nice surprise when I climbed into bed and discovered a hot water bottle warming the sheets.
The food was wonderful.
I stayed at Sol y Luna as part of a National Geographic group trip to the Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu. It was the best and most relaxing hotel on our 4-hotel trip. The individual casitas were spacious and luxurious. The long swimming pool was outstanding for basic laps/actual exercise. The hot tub was great for relaxing. Our group did 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts at the hotel - all were wonderful, delicious, and the right amount of food. The setting was scenic - with some mountain views from the pool area. The landscaping/gardens were amazing - I'm sure I didn't appreciate all the diverse plants there. We were 30-40 minutes away from Moray and Ollantaytambo (the train station for Machu Picchu).
