Urige Bleibe in Hinterthal - mit Charme und kleinen Fehlern
Pros:

Mit seiner ruhigen Lage, seinen gepflegten Zimmern, dem schönen Spa-Bereich und dem eigenen Restaurant ist der Wachtelhof ein besonderes Hotel für den Schiurlaub.

Cons:

Das Personal ist sehr engagiert, aber knapp. Ein Shuttle zur Liftsation würde zum Anspuch des Hortels passen

Früher Spitzenklasse – heute ist der Lack ab
Pros:

Die Küche ist weiterhin gut.

Cons:

Seit unserem letzten Besuch im Jahr 2020 hat sich im Jagdhof Wachtelhof viel verändert – leider wenig zum Guten. Der „Lack ist ab“ und das Haus lebt heute eher vom Namen und der Erinnerung an bessere Zeiten. Wobei der Name selbst inzwischen schon fast an Verbrauchertäuschung grenzt:
„House of Hütter“. Auf Nachfrage beim Personal erfuhren wir, dass das Hotel mittlerweile an einen Investor verpachtet oder verkauft wurde und operativ nicht mehr in Hütter-Hand sei. An wen genau, wusste das Personal selbst nicht. Im Impressum steht eine Firma namens „G&S Hotelbetriebs GmbH AT“ aus Wien.

Vieles wirkt inzwischen abgewohnt und weit entfernt vom früheren Spitzenniveau: Plastikblumen, sich lösende Sockelleisten im Zimmer, abgewohnte Stoffe und beim Frühstück billigste Papierservietten mit Aufdruck – Dinge, die deutlich machen, dass das Besondere dieses Hauses, nämlich seine (Innen-)Architektur, von den aktuell Verantwortlichen offenbar nicht verstanden wird.

Im Zimmer und Bad zeigt sich der gleiche Sparkurs:
Bei einem Preis von über 400 € pro Nacht hängt in der großen Dusche ein Abzieher – vermutlich ein Wink mit dem Zaunpfahl an die Gäste, dass sie die Dusche doch am besten selbst reinigen sollen.

Im Spa funktionierte einiges nicht:
Das 65° Saunarium war gar nicht eingeschaltet, die Infrarotkabine ebenfalls nicht, und die als 95° deklarierte Hauptsauna erreichte nur etwa 65°. Es wird an allen Ecken gespart. Auch der Samowar war trotz guter Auslastung im Spa nicht in Betrieb.

Auch organisatorisch fehlt es:
Das Personal ist teilweise bemüht, hilft aber weder beim Gepäck, noch wird beim Frühstück zuverlässig aufgefüllt – Speisen waren oft leer und erst auf Nachfrage wieder verfügbar.

Für unseren Hund wurden stolze 35 € pro Nacht berechnet, ohne jegliche Gegenleistung, wie Napf, Körbchen oder eine Aufmerksamkeit.

Sicherheitsmängel bestehen ebenfalls:
Die Aussentreppe zum Skiraum ist gefährlich, lose Natursteinplatten stellen ein echtes Stolperrisiko dar.

Great location, helpful staff and beautiful property
Pros:

Location was amazing. Very close to ski school and lift to ski area. Staff was quite helpful. The guy handling the hotel in the evening and night was very accommodating. He helped with all of our requests. The property is very pretty with lot of old time artefacts.

Pros:

Ein tolles und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Hotel. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ein wunderschönes Hotel was man nur wärmstens empfehlen kann.

Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll, das Personal zuvorkommend und die Entfernung zum nächsten Skilift sehr kurz.

Cons:

Das Restaurant war von der Küchenkapazität schlicht und ergreifend überfordert, obwohl nicht übermäßig viele Gäste dort waren. Wenn man für 3 Gänge 2,5 h im Restaurant benötigt oder zu zweit eine identischen Nachtisch bestellt, aber dann mit 10 min Abstand diesen erst bekommt, dann passt es einfach nicht. Diese Erfahrung haben wir leider nicht nur einmal machen müssen.

Tento hotel doporučuji všem, kdo hledá místo uprostřed majestátních hor poblíž lyžařského vleku a přesto v klidu. Už při vstupu do lobby na Vás dýchne neskutečná krása, decentní vůně a příjemná hudba jakoby z dálky jen podtrhuje pohodu. Lobby je tvořeno několika zákoutími, kde se dá posedět, přečíst si knížku, nebo nabízené publikace, dát si drink, nebo se prostě jen kochat a užívat si tu krásu kolem a relaxovat. Pokoj je nádherný, čistý, s prostornou šatnou i velkým sprchovým koutem, já měla i terasu, kterou si oblíbil můj psí parťák. Velká pohodlná postel je za mě obrovské plus. Využila jsem i úžasné večerní koupání ve venkovním bazénu a saunu, a jelikož jsem měla naplánované celodenní výlety se psem, měla jsem každý den “jen” výbornou snídani. Skvělý a příjemný personál jen dotváří dokonalost tohoto místa. Rozhodně se sem ještě vrátím. Děkuji za tak krásný pobyt pro mě i mého psa.

I recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a place in the middle of majestic mountains, close to a ski lift and yet peaceful and quiet. From the very moment you enter the lobby, you are embraced by incredible beauty; a subtle fragrance and pleasant music, as if coming from afar, only enhance the feeling of comfort and relaxation. The lobby is made up of several cozy corners where you can sit down, read a book or the publications on offer, enjoy a drink, or simply admire the surroundings and relax. The room is beautiful and clean, with a spacious walk-in wardrobe and a large shower. I also had a terrace, which my doggie companion absolutely loved. The large, comfortable bed is a huge plus for me. I also enjoyed wonderful evening swims in the outdoor pool and the sauna. Since I had full-day trips planned with my dog, I only had the excellent breakfast each day — which was more than enough. The great and friendly staff complete the perfection of this place. I will definitely return. Thank you for such a wonderful stay for both me and my dog.
