We visit Mona often because of the perfect location and warm ambiance. The fantastic breakfast and relaxing spa center make every stay really enjoyable.
A beautiful hotel with an absolutely stunning array of food for breakfast and a great, reasonably priced restaurant with excellent portion sizes.
My standard room was clean and tidy with good air con and the cleaning services were exceptional.
It's also minutes walk away from both the bus stations and a great base to tour the Tara national park and travel the train at Mokra Gora.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it!
If you are looking for a family-like, cozy place with all content that you need, located at the center, but still relaxing and peaceful - you are at the right place. I've just spent a couple of days over the spring holidays with my teenage kids there and we all enjoyed it.
Good location, lots of food shops and restaurants just around the corner.Building itself is pretty inside and outside.Big rooms.Full minibar 'but no cattle, tea and coffee Very good breakfast- lots of choice in cold meats, cheese and salads-but you have to fight your way through Chinese tourists group-I wasnt able to get to the coffee machine first day)) And it wasnt a season yet
After our 3 stay at hotel Mona, there’s no doubt it will be our last.
1. When we arrived strong silicone smell was our welcome.
2. Room was falling apart, refrigerator not working, nor other wall sockets.
3. In the first couple of days the food was not so good, the same food from the breakfast was at the dinner also. When the hotel was filled with guests during the weekend they tried a bit harder with the food, but not as same as the last time we were at Mona in 2023.
4. Spa and wellness center is falling apart. The tiles in the pools are falling apart, the kids we’re playing with them…The water in the hot pool was not so clean, it has never been that way. The sprinklers in the big pool are not working properly, one of the big ones is even coroded and doesen’t even work. And the most disappointing thing is that the steam bath wasn’t working, during our 5 day stay no one came to fix it…
The thing that annoyed me the most at the end was that we persuaded our friends to join us in Mona along with their kids, regarding our previous experience.
We felt like at home, great hotel with fantastic choice of food, cozy and pleasant atmosphere, cant wait to come again!
The hotel did not inform about having the Spa renovated during out stay in the moment of reservation. They did this same thing once in the past without saying sorry, and the history is repeating. This is very unfair, as they do not fulfill the determined standard for the 4* hotel. No compensation offered, except single ticket for electric car. Fully unfair and unproffesional behaviour, which would not go through in EU country. Try to avoid!
The hotel has exelent location close to a school ski, restorants, shops. Very good service. It was our second time here.
We booked for the location only. The hotel is very old and needs immediate renovation. The food was average, not many options. Very bad smell from bathroom, the rooms are very small and cold. No kettle in room and the sheets were not changed during our 7 day stay. Not recommended
Don't waste your time and money at this awful hotel.
Everything in this hotel is broken. Climatisation is not working, toilet odor in all rooms.
Food is cold and low quality.
Spa is cold and dirty with mold on the walls, hamam is not worknig and swimming pool is muddy and old.
Paid parking is outside with a lot of cars.
Very nice place to stay only jacuzzi was colder than a pool at the time I was there.
Staff was very helpful, though at times it was difficult to communicate with them in English. Hotel and rooms were clean. At times the hot water in the bathroom was tepid rather than hot - rather unpleasant especially as the climate was very cold.
Excellent breakfast and dinner - we were on half-board basis.
The front desk people are kind of "rude." We were in a group and turned in the key one by one while checking out. A staff yelled us, "You should do it together!" When we were in the restaurant, a waiter pushed me aside to go through. He could simple say, "Excuse me" and I would know someone is behind me and wouldn't block his way.
Cant believe people smoke indoor near the breakfast area, I’m very sensitive to it and although it’s the room next door, I could still smell it
Breakfast was ok but the things are very salty
Location is perfectly situated downtown, there’s also a supermarket nearby
Room is decent size ok for a night
Toiletries were just standard
Drainage in shower was bad although the water pressure is good
There was some sort of concert even at midnight went to the reception and asked if I could move rooms. She gave me the same corridor side which faces even closer to wherever that was, she initially said she and her colleagues could not hear the music, like you could just literally step outside and hear it.
Anyway I needed fresh cool air in the room but with the loud music I can’t sleep so I asked if she could help do something about the air conditioning. She said she will switch the air con for me but after 15 minutes there’s nothing. I called again and it was after a 3 minutes explanation she finally sent her colleague up to check and obviously it was faulty. He finally fixed it in 5 mins.
So here comes the next part where I went to bed happily although I could still hear the music (like no one in the neighbour complained to the police??) I woke up in the middle of the night and guess what my room was 28 degrees hot! I told her to switch the system off cuz it’s way too hot, she said she thought I needed heating in the room thus turn the heating in my room. I gave up arguing.
Why would I need to open the window if I needed hot air (it was around 13 outside at night) duh!
Great hotel at a great location. Need to invest in a better than instant coffee at breakfast.
The hotel is very close to the fountain and walking part, hotel is quite big and has a lot of space. Room was Ok, there are works going opposite of the hotel, so can be a bit noisy in the day if you open the window, but no sound if closed and AC works well. Breakfast had a lot of options to choose from.
Amazing place to stay
This is a good hotel with really great service and very well located. Almost every year we spend some time in this area, usually during the winter, but sometimes also during the summer season. Whenever we come, Mona is the best choice to stay.
Really uncomfortable beds. Nice breakfast but overcrowded during this period of time. Poor sleep you can hear everything in the room. Considering other hotels around I will probably change for the next time. I get used to Mona and never checked around since the last time when we couldn't sleep.
Went for new years eve upon arrival our food was packed cold as we arrived at night imagine eating fries bit if chicken all cold.
Gala night food was disgrace cold as well had to pay for water music was so loud table was vibrating we told them but they didn't do nothing
We couldent talk our ears were hurting! So we left
Rooms not soundproof
Its 12.30 and music is still blurring away in serbian
Btw gala night was for serbian tourist even though the most of us were outside country tourist we asked for some english music as well but 4 nothing only staff were good
In 1 word never again !
