SUNRISE Diamond Beach Resort

We had a very pleasant 10-day stay at the hotel in February. The first impression wasn’t great, but it improved significantly the longer we stayed.

Heated pools were a major highlight, including the swim-up deluxe room, which was very comfortable despite needing more modern furniture. The reef offered nice snorkeling, though the sea felt a bit cold. À la carte restaurants provided excellent variety to break up the meals, with standout kind service from Sayed in Basilico and the main restaurant, plus waiter Shady.

Food and Facilities
Meals were nice but somewhat monotonous; the diet corner and Egyptian accents were big pluses. Location in Hadaba is convenient for walking to shops and cafes in the district, though stray dogs were a downside. Deep, heated pools and overall comfort made it family-friendly.

Areas for Improvement
Minuses included lack of blackout curtains, loud music by the main pools, and persistent salesmen (sometimes fun, but not always). It’s not perfect, but a cool, good hotel worth recommending.

Well where to start from the minute you arrive till to leave the whole holiday experience is top level , all restaurants are fantastic as are the staff , pool guys and bar guys all very attentive and as for Mr Rafaat (hamish) what a gent very helpful and a credit to the hotel and company ,rooms well cleaned and once again staff are great ,,,Hamish thanks for everything Bruce & Margaret Cheers ,

It was my first time travelling to Egypt and to Sharm El Sheikh specifically. And I had a blast tanks to this hotel and its wonderful staff.
I always felt welcome, everyone was nice, smiley and cheerful. The service was on top, I didn't even expect that they'll be helping me in even small stuff like moving the beach umbrella.
Everyday I was asked if everything was okay. They were more than ready to solve any problem.
The hotel is very close to the sea and there are a few beaches: for families, for adults and for VIP guests as I figured. The sea there is clean, so many fishes. You can go to the pier and do snorkelling.
But the pools were great too. I usually spent time at the family pool where the animation was. It was fun and I even danced in the water. Also the pool for adults was great. No noise, just peace. There were even free books, and not only cocktails :)
The food was also great and to every taste: local, European and Asian. And you could also book a table at the restaurant.
I was so glad I went there on Halloween because at dinner everything was in decorations, and even the meals were in theme. The animators and some tourists dressed for the occasion and took pics in front of the scary background. That day my husband and I also went to a beach party with one of the animators. That I will defined remember.
I'd like to stay at that hotel once again one day.

We stayed here last September in a swim up posh club room. Due to a medical emergency we had to fly home early so this review is only based on staying there 3 days. We were collected and dropped of in the posh club lounge for a swift a very professional check in. The room was impressive and the swim up pool area both spacious and very comfortable. We had a good selection of spirits, Champagne , mini bar and snacks waiting for us. The posh club lounge served food for breakfast and lunch and of the highest standard. We ate in the Indian the first night which was very good and allocated all of the al la carte restaurants for the remainder of our stay. Although we only had 3 days here, the staff were fantastic, kind and could not do enough for us. Due to the high standard of the hotel we are returning this March and hoping to bring our Daughter with us. A huge thank you to Mohammed Taher who looked after us with our room and kindness when we had to leave early. Full and comprehensive review when we get to see the whole hotel in 8 weeks. We spent a week over New Years Eve. Whilst we liked a lot about the hotel there were a few issues.
The hotel was fully booked over NYE otherwise we would have asked for a different room
Our room was large with a comfortable bed, plenty of storage and a great shower. It was immaculate. However, due to the awful small balcony and window, and the Fawlty Towers partial sea view the room was very dark and gloomy (see photo of our view!). After 3 days we were offered a move but didn't want the hassle of packing up to move. We like the room position where we opened straight up onto the adult only pool.
We were looked after very well by Mahmoud and Peter and we liked how the adult only aspect was strictly enforced.
It wasn't particularly quiet though because of the awful Christmas music blaring out over the whole hotel complex. The music continued after 12th night. The Christmas decorations were also left up and they were tired and rather tatty.
The a la carte restaurants were all superb and my gluten free needs were met in every restaurant, including the buffet. My only issue with the buffet was the lack of any gluten free sauces so the food was often dry. GF desserts weren't available for much of the time.
We really didn't like the New Year celebrations at all. Our table was right at the back and we would have needed binoculars to see any of the entertainment, though the noise from the entertainment meant that we couldn't even talk to the person next to us. The buffet looked amazing and my husband enjoyed his food. The buffet was absolutely heaving and the queues to get food were vast. I was shown around by a chef to show me what I could eat. As I said before, GF sauces were not available. I had plain fish for starters which was alright then plain meat, plain boiled rice and plain vegetables. These were inedible because they were so dry. At the bar later I was so hungry I asked for some crisps!
We won't be returning to Sharm because of the airport - 2 hours to get through security and 3 hours to get out - barely time for a quick toilet break due to standing in queue after queue after queue after queue!!

Great resort backed by great staff, so helpful and friendly. Lovely rooms, always clean as was the whole resort. Couldn’t fault the food or drink. Booked direct and was truly looked after by the manger at this resort along with all the other staff. A special thanks to Gamal at the Gamila restaurant, Karim the pool lifeguard, and Mahdy and Youseff at the pool bar. Than you all.

We booked a one-week stay directly through the hotel's website. They were very responsive via email regarding transfer requests until we paid. To confirm the booking, we paid for one night via a GetPayIn link. Their policy guarantees a refund if cancelled at least one week before the stay. We cancelled 10 days in advance, but since then, they have completely vanished. No response from management or reception. Do not book here!"

2 weeks over xmas and new year, had the most memorable time, gala dinners were made in heaven, the special restaurants were just that, the staff every many and woman were very attentive, nothing too much trouble. There were so many staff who were worth a mention but shout outs to Ahmed,IIbrahim,Amr, Harndy, Esmeler, Moustafa, Mohammed, the general manager Raatafa and last and best of all our special friend and waiter Shady also to Neil and Yvonne who made Aarons holiday so special
Looking to go back next year.

As a family of 4, we stayed in Sunrise Diamond for 7 nights, all inclusive.
Reception team - upon arrival, there was welcome drinks and we were instantly made to feel comfortable and warmly welcomed. We did request for a room upgrade due to a special occasion since we had read it in reviews that they are generous with such, of which the hotel said was “noted”. However, we got the room that we had paid for.

The room: we were in room 9218, was okay in terms of location, it was a centre complex and there were beautiful views of the sea from it. The room was cleaned meticulously by AHMED who made sure we came back to a spotless room every single day. My son had a severe nose bleed on the first day and Ahmed sorted us out with clean bedding straight away. The room was not noisy, had a flatscreen tv with channels in English, The football was showing for my 7 year old, a kettle, robe, slippers and toiletries. The air conditioning worked well. The minibar in the room was stocked up daily and with bottled water too. The bed was very comfortable and had a good night sleep.

The Restaurant: The food was tasty but could get repetitive at times, there was however, a variety of food catering to different cuisines. Breakfast had a variety, breads, croissants, pancakes. We DID NOT get bellyaches/vomitting. My 7 and 4 year old also ate the food too and they were fine.

The restaurant staff: A special thank you to KELEROSI - he was very friendly and attentive. His customer service skills were exceptional, always greeted us with a smile and his friendless and welcoming nature was consistent throughout our stay. As soon as we came to the restaurant, he spotted us, greeted us and from the second day he remembered our drinks order and made sure we got our drinks without delay. The other staff work very hard, from the waiters/waitresses to the chefs, so thank you! The restaurant managers in general are helpful.

Entertainment team: some were friendly and made effort. My kids enjoyed the party on the beach and the foam party afterwards- however, music could be improved to play more popular Arabic/English artist songs.

Hotel in general: the hotel was very clean and staff were friendly, always greeting and the hotel seem like they value feedback for improvement as we were asked several times by hotel management/staff how our stay has been going. We used the splash pool and the aqua park which was good which my kids had so much fun with. The pools were heated. There was a family and kids pool too but closed for renovation. Lifeguards are always attentive and on duty - IBRAHIM the lifeguard always welcomed us with a smile and was very friendly with my children :).

On checking out, we called at 6pm and asked for our luggage to be collected at 6.20pm but no one turned up. I put this down to a one off as in general, the hotel staff did seem attentive to guests but it did leave me struggling which could have been avoided with my little ones.

All in all, I would come back to stay here and would 100% recommend the stay here as it is clean and comfortable. We had a very good 7 days, staff seemed happy to be working there and we were sad to be leaving the hotel!!

N.b. the gardeners work so hard in the heat, keeping the hotel grounds immaculate. If you can, please don’t forget them, appreciate them or tip them 🥰

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this amazing hotel. Welcomed back by all staff who are all so friendly and helpful. They looked after us so well no matter which part of the hotel we were. Too many to mention but they made us both feel really special - thank you everyone. Our room was kept immaculately clean daily as was the whole hotel. Food in all restaurants was top grade, delicious. We felt quite sad to go home and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you to all staff at the hotel for making our holiday special.

We offered lux and when we arrived we found out that our room is not available.
For 1 night they offered us another room and the next day we should relocate to "our room". In fact - it was not lux and the staff tried to convince us that everything is correct. Fortunately, we had a travel agent who could relocate us to another hotel.

Solo Traveller | Swim-Up:Room #9104| 7 Nights

I recently returned from a 7-night stay at the 5* Diamond Beach Resort, and overall, it was an unforgettable trip. The resort itself is absolutely stunning—modern, clean, and even more beautiful than the images online. I booked a swim-up room, and it was everything I hoped for and more. The views were breathtaking, and I loved it so much that I didn’t even end up using the main pools. That said, there were plenty of pool options throughout the resort with a vibrant, lively atmosphere for those who want it.

As a solo traveller, I found the resort extremely welcoming and safe. A big part of this was thanks to the exceptional staff who made my stay so memorable:

Zayed (Receptionist) – One of the standout members of the team. Professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful—no task was too big. He offered great recommendations, handled everything effortlessly, and genuinely made my stay smoother.

Badr (Hotel Manager) – Truly refreshing to interact with. He made sure I was well looked after and reassured me during the few hiccups I experienced. His hospitality alone makes me want to return.
Ahmed (Housekeeping) – My room was spotless every day, and he always added special touches like beautiful towel art and even fresh flowers. He is a perfect example of someone who goes the extra mile.
Animation Team – Special shoutout to Yankee, who was always smiling and keeping guests entertained with a vibrant, uplifting energy. The lovely young lady who ran the morning stretching classes also deserves praise—she made each session enjoyable.

Osama (Resort Photographer) – His work is exceptional. I booked a photoshoot with him, and I ended up purchasing all the images because they were that good. Professional, talented, and great at making guests feel comfortable while capturing flawless shots.

I also met some wonderful fellow guests, which really added to the experience as a solo traveller.

Of course, the stay wasn’t perfect. There were a few hiccups, but I have to commend the security team, who were extremely efficient. I did encounter a few staff members who came across as dismissive, possibly due to language barriers, which at times made me feel slightly unheard. Fortunately, this was outweighed by the majority who were friendly and helpful.

Food-wise, the buffet was the biggest disappointment. The selection could use a lot of improvement, especially for a 5-star resort. However, the dishes I did try were enjoyable, and the à la carte restaurants (which require reservations) were absolutely delicious—excellent presentation, great service, and definitely worth trying. Thanks again to Zayed for making the bookings happen!

The entertainment team is wonderful, but the overall evening entertainment could be improved. The resort is generally more on the chilled side at night, so if you’re looking for nightlife, you’ll find plenty outside the resort—excursions, bars, eateries, shopping, and more.

Lastly, the weather was extremely hot during my stay, which I personally loved, but I highly recommend packing a powerful mini fan!

Overall:
Diamond Beach Resort is a beautiful property with excellent staff, gorgeous rooms (especially the swim-ups), and a relaxing atmosphere. With a few improvements—mainly the buffet and evening entertainment—it has the potential to be even better. I left with wonderful memories, stunning photos, and a desire to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sunrise Diamond. The hotel is lovely, with spacious, clean rooms, great restaurants and fabulous pools. We were always able to get sun loungers together by the pool. The staff are absolutely brilliant- so kind and helpful. We spent each morning at the family pool. The lifeguard (Mohamed) was so helpful and kind, even making lovely little towel animals and dolls for my 7 year old daughter to play with, which she absolutely loved! The bar staff were also great, particularly Mina and Mohammed (not sure if spelt right?) who worked at the family pool bar and also the Latitude rooftop bar. We had great service from all staff in the restaurants too, including in particular El Sayeed and Ibrahim. The snorkelling off the boardwalk from the beach is brilliant- so much to see. We were so well looked after at this hotel and enjoyed great food in all the restaurants, wonderful spa treatments and fabulous service. Khalid who cleaned our room kept the children happy with incredible towel creations - they couldn’t wait to get back to the room to see what he’d created every day! We would love to come back to this hotel again one day.

Our third visit to the Sunrise Diamond Beach and once again it was amazing. We again upgraded to Posh Club and stayed in a Jacuzzi Suite, the room was fantastic and the room was kept immaculate by Ahmed our housekeeper, 10/10. We would spend most of our days by the adult pool where Mahmoud and Peter took care of us like royalty, making sure we were comfortable and well refreshed again 10/10.
As I mentioned earlier we upgraded to Posh Club and once again we could not fault the service given by the staff, Marwa and her staff did an outstanding job under difficult circumstances having to deal with some very rude and entitled people., but delivered service with as smile and total professionalism Hany, Eslam, Shady and Amr were awesome. As for the other restaurants, there are too many names to give thanks, but the service and food was excellent. Mr Mohamed and Gamal in Gamilla, Saeed in Basilico and Eslam in Manohar were all amazing, the in the lobby bar Ahmed and Islam took care of all our drink needs.
And finally our stay would not have been complete without Tarek. This gentleman was outstanding, giving the most professional service and making sure we felt special, he made us feel like part of his family.
Will we be returning? Yes we will. This is a fantastic hotel as are most of the hotels in Sharm but the difference in this hotel is the staff, AWESOME.

What a really nice hotel. 5 star is pushing it a bit but I’d give it a solid 4.75 — and honestly it’s miles better than most of the so-called 5-star Turkish hotels.

Check-in was special and welcoming but also a bit painful — very slow, a bit unorganised, and they even gave us the wrong room at first. Once we got the right one, the family suite for the first 3 days was big, quiet, and close to the family pool, which was perfect.

We couldn’t book any of the à la cartes at first which was annoying, but on day 4 we upgraded to the Presidential Suite (Posh Club) and wow… just wow. The room was enormous, proper 5-star service. Even Amir’s slow pace was bearable thanks to his big smile. Shady was my son’s favourite and Hamza was my wife’s – both great guys and really made the stay special.

As Posh Club we could book any restaurant we wanted, laundry done every day, and the breakfasts were spot on. The seafood pasta at lunch (with extra salmon on top) was unreal.

The foam party was brilliant, and the trip to Jackson’s Reef was amazing – beautiful snorkelling, saw blue-spotted stingrays and massive pufferfish. Plus, all the footy on the TV – perfect!

Gamila, the Egyptian à la carte, was easily the best dinner of the stay.

Service can be slow and a bit frustrating at times, but we honestly loved it and will definitely be back. 100% recommend (with a few caveats).

From the moment we arrived, the service and professionalism were exceptional. Even with a late check-in, Yoannis made us feel instantly welcome and handled everything quickly and efficiently.

The restaurant team was excellent — always attentive and friendly. Big thank you to Tarek, Ibrahim, Eslam and Waleed for looking after us so well, and to Chef Ahmed for the delicious food 👏.

We spent most days at the Oasis adults-only pool and had outstanding service from Mahmood and Peter. Our sunbeds were prepared each morning, and drinks were always served with a smile — they truly made our stay special.

Evenings on the rooftop bar were a highlight, with great entertainment and a fantastic atmosphere. Huge thanks to Mohammed for taking such great care of us every night — a real credit to the hotel.

Overall, we had an unforgettable holiday and will definitely be returning next year. Highly recommended!

4th visit to the sunrise diamond beach. Pretty much the same as my last review. The staff are immense, every single one of them, too many to name but I will try. Hamza, Mark, Honey, Eslam, Amr and the one and only Shady in posh club. Hany, Abdullah, Tarek, Saed, Lofty, Mohamed, all the guys in the restaurants, Taher as usual. The guys at gamila who always played football with my sob. We met the new GM Mustafa while we were here lovely guy who seemed like he really cared. We had the room we always have 10110, kept clean always and next to another nice family, Taher always tries to put people next to each other who he thinks will make each other's stay better and he didn't fail. Lifeguards and pool bar guys were great as usual. I don't like to do this as I love this place but only fair - negatives - Posh club has lost its charm, staff are overworked and understaffed. Too many guests in poshclub now, I saw a family not able to get a table, Gamila much quieter and tempted to try their next time for breakfast. Staff used to be able to spend a lot of time with guests in posh club but this is no longer the case. Other negative and it's no fault of the hotel is the guests who have a chip on their shoulder and treat the staff like second class citizens, they are a disgrace. Also had one couple tell our children to shhh in posh club, it's always the same people. Our favourite waiter Shady got moved out of Posh Club on our last two days, not sure why but this was a mistake from Posh Club manager, he's a proper workhorse and a lovely guy, if he was in the UK he would never be out of work. Apart from that another great stay. Can't wait to return but maybe not posh club now as its a bit of a cattle market.
