Room was small and basic. Front desk staff speaks little English. Instructions for accessing internet were inadequate, and the password changes daily, which would be fine if only the staff bothered to tell you that and provided the new password. Breakfast was hearty and the restaurant staff was helpful and pleasant. Overall, would not recommend this hotel, though there are worse places to stay.
We stayed at Metelitsa when visiting family in Krasnoyarsk, the hotel came with a high recommendation. We were not disappointed 👍.
The 4 rooms we all used were super, the layouts were all different but very spacious and spotless. The breakfast was very good with a wide choice. Location was great to get around the town. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very highly recommended!!
Хороший небольшой уютный отель в стороне от дороги. Чисто, хорошая Мебель и постельное белье, хороший завтрак.
Really what more do you need? A comfortable room in a good location helpful staff and a quirky breakfast routine.
Oh , so you want to know about the breakfast? half self serve, half table service with well meaning staff that all seem to be new at the service industry but with a great attitude.
a little bit "faulty towers" in the layout but it works.
Elegent, yet homey. Room offers easy chairs, fridge, and walk in shower. Very complete breakfast, in quiet atmosphere. Easy walking distance to bridge over to quiet island, good shopping all around you. Staff speaks English, and friendly smiles. would give it a 5/5.
Low rating because I virtually had no window in my room. The only small window had a view on opposit wall within half-meter from my wall. Because of this no daylight ever entered my room (which was a business class suit). Probably just unlucky. Room number 123.
Also, the place where breakfast is served is in the basement with no windows at all.
Other things I didn't like: breakfast is to be ordered from a menu. Air conditioning in the room is very weak. Interior is dark.
On the positive side: great location. The business class room icludes nice amenities such as electric kettle, bathrobe etc.
Lage sehr gut.
leider war mein Zimmer ohne Tageslicht, sehr unangenehm. Blick auf eine Mauer.
Очень приятный отель с удобным расположением. Один минус - слышимость...просто катастрофическая (вы будете погружены в жизнь соседних номеров и горничных, если хозяйственные комнаты будут рядом с вашей, как случилось у меня)
We spent 3 weeks in Russia staying in many different places and this was the best hotel by far. The rooms were very comfortable and the bed amazing. The shower was great and the toiletries provided were lovely (L'Occitane). The breakfast was a feast - make sure you go hungry to make the most of it. It is all cooked to order and the food quality was fantastic - good combination of western and russian dishes. Really delicious. If you visit Krasnoyarsk then stay in this hotel - you won't be disappointed.
The folks at the front desk were also extremely nice. We were impressed with how quiet the room was, particularly given that the hotel is right in Kenmore Square, which is a busy and noisy area; they must have used very good sound-deadening windows.
This hotel was amazing. When we arrived, they made sure someone was there who knew how to speak english, so that they may communicate with us. The building was amazing, the rooms were divine and the breakfast was just absolutely exquisite. This was a great breath of fresh air after having travelled by train across Russia for so long. Their internet is also very fast and the service was just plain awesome. I would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat. Impeccable staff!
Clean, Safe, good location (take a walk across the bridge at sunset), really comfortable bed, free WiFi...worth the money! Anton Chekhov said that Krasnoyarsk is the most beautiful city in Siberia...its a good stop off on the Trans-Siberian Railway between Yekaterinburg and Irkutsk.
A small hotel, the room was large and full of character - it looked like there were pages from a book on the walls. Very unusual, and interesting. We enjoyed the room!
Krasnoyarsk is small, so everything is within walking distance.
The receptionists were very friendly. The hotel ran out of hot water one morning - but managed to fix it in half an hour after we pointed it out to them.
Breakfast was the only disappointment, with barely any choice.
Decent hotel, rooms were a good size, comfortable, clean. The overall place lacked a bit of character but the staff were very friendly.
The location is nice, as it's on one of the main streets but not right in the centre so quieter than others.
The breakfast was served in a room below street level, so no natural light and MTV playing on two huge screens, which was a bit much first thing (probably started when Doctor Alban stayed here, check out the wall of fame, hahaha). The food was great though.
I would recommend it though. Safe, clean, comfortable.
I've been here two times and can recommend this hotel. It has good service, nice rooms, very satisfying breafast and excellent location in the centre of Krasnoyarsk. I choose this hotel every time I go there.
Centrally located hotel with lovely english speaking staff, just off the main street, spacious and clean hotel room with lots of amenities. A perfect hotel for our stop along the Trans Siberian. Only negative was it took 15 minutes for hot water to start coming out of the tap!
positive:
+ a little hidden, not directly facing Prospekt Mira, so not exposed to the street noise
+ excellent breakfast
+ convenient location to explore the city
negative:
- expensive laundry service
price:
5500 RUB per night for a double room
Snowstrom - how it's called in Russian, is a Krasnoyarsk three-floors 4 star hotel with a long story. Due to its privacy, "Metelitsa/or Metelica" was a preferrable location to stay for some prominent Russian and foreign pop-stars and actors who needed short stay during their tour in 2000s. Till nowadays is one of best hotels in Krasnoyarsk, full of advantages to choose it for you comfort stay in this Siberian dynamic city. Location - is ideal: 2 mins walk to the Monument of Russian nobleman Nikolai Rezanov (cofounder of Russian-American company, statesman, baron, polyglot, etc) who was died in Krasnoyarsk in 1807 on the way back from California where he had fallen in everlasting love with Maria Concepción Argüello, the daughter of the comandante of San Francisco. Russian legendary rock opera Juno and Avos describes this sad love story.
Main Yenisey River viewpoint, Philharmony Concert Hall, Cultural museum complex "Na Strelke" situated just some steps away from the hotel. It's also just takes 15 mins walking to the main city squares: Revolution and Theatre with government buildings and luxury shops (Escada, Armani, Boss, vanLaack, MaxMara) Prospect Mira, Lenin, Karl Marx street - it's the main parallel streets of old Krasnoyarsk with mixed different style buildings worth to see.
In generall this hotel has almost everything: sauna, small swim.pool, nice helpful staff, but I couldn't rate the hotel as perfect due to squeaky floor tiles in my bathroom, its mediocre basic breakfasts at hotel cafe. I think, they can't provide good kitchen staff and food variety cause of so few hotel rooms. I's better to have a breakfast at one of Belgian bakeries and have a dinner at Mama Roma - great Italian restaurant on 50A Mira prospect. Rooms are big enough, beds - comfy, all - is clear. The hotel building is hidden at the courtyard.
Hotel is Surprisingly good. Standard rooms are big enough - about 25 sq. m. everything is new and very clean. Hotel has an indoor pool, found a complimentary friuts on arrival as well as sleepers and bathrobe with free wi-fi If you used to stay at radissons or similar Metelica is the best option in Krasnoyarsk.
