Serene and beautiful
Pros:

property is located at an amazing spot - they have done it very well - so much greenery - small game tables are a fantastic add to bring back the child in you ! breakfast offering were brilliant as well! Walking distance to the mall road and in about 100 yards in the view point for Kanchendongzha mountain

Cons:

My room window opened in an alley with other houses directly opposite - this is the only thing i dint like - i had keep the curtains closed to maintain privacy

I found the hotel to be overpriced and overrated.
Pros:

Breakfast was good.

Cons:

This Hotel is listed as a “Heritage Property,” but that is overpriced and overrated. The infrastructure is aging and out–of–date. I frequently almost got scalded with the shower mixing controls.

For the price, the facilities are dated and inconvenient. I would rather stay in a Hotel (for the price I paid in Darjeeling) that had modern climate control and facilities.

The rooms were draughty and often cold. The hot water bottles were cute, but I would much rather have automatic climate control in my room.

Would always choose to stay in this hotel when we come to Darjeeling

Lovely heritage hotel with good atmosphere and little extra touches like hot water bottle in the bed. Friendly staff. Beautiful gardens and views.

Pros:

Beautiful property. Exceptionally maintained with lovely touches in every corner. We had a suite and it was perfectly appointed. Two bathrooms with great shower, heaters in place, open fire which we made the most of and snacks plus refreshments constantly topped up and complimentary. Very clean, good detailing and no complaints whatsoever. The library room and the restaurant are great spots, the games area is very interesting and with a great choice for all ages. Highly recommended to all types of guest. Food served was very tasty in all departments and a great choice with a large and varied spread for breakfast.

Cons:

Only negative was the condition of public toilet in the lobby area and the fact that you couldn’t enjoy a drink from the bar in the gorgeous library. Very minor drawbacks but always ways to improve.
