Excellent hotel, superb location
Pros:

The hotel is so quaint, charming and in a lovely location with the New Forest on your doorstep. The Darjeeling room was a lovely, clean, with on suite bathroom with bath and shower. The bed was so comfortable and we both had the best night sleep. There was coffee n tea provided and a Nespresso coffee maker for those that like strong. Breakfast was superb and served in the tea room attached to the hotel. Superb night and we would recommend and will be back.

Pros:

The staff were super friendly and always helpful, which made a big difference.
The bedroom was clean, cosy, and the bed was very comfortable. I also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast options.
This was my second stay, and I enjoyed it so much that I extended my visit by an extra night. I’ll definitely be back again!

Cons:

I really liked the room, but maybe would recommend to have different types of teas available in the room such as herbal rather than just breakfast teas and tissues and/or napkins available.

Pros:

Quiet property with a lot of character. Great breakfast and very clean room. Towels were made into animals upon arrival which was a very cute touch. Great location in walking distance to the train station and cycle hire.

Cons:

The only very slight negative (and very slight) was the bed was very springy which isn’t my favorite, but it was very quiet so if made up for it!

Pros:

Gorgeous property and room, very dog friendly. Lovely food in tea room attached. Staff all friendly and helpful. Great location too, shops, trail, train station nearby

Cons:

Only thing is the property was super dark when we arrived for self check-in late in the evening. Maybe a motion sensor or solar powered light by the key collection point or path but other than that picky detail, our stay was perfect

Such a beautiful stay, just wishing the sleep was better.
Pros:

I loved the location, the staff, the layout. It feels welcoming and is very calming.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the only thing I can moan about is the bed in our room. It was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever experienced. It is she's a shame as everything else was so lovely. However, I did not get much sleep at all due to the discomfort of the bed.

Unfortunately it was not as advertised, if you want a peaceful tranquil stay in the new forest this probably isn’t the p
Pros:

The advertising narrative and images are very misleading as the hotel is on a busy road, it was not restful as traffic and buses use the road constantly.

That was accompanied by a pub next door which played music outside in the pub garden till 12 midnight.

The only saving grace was breakfast and the amazing staff who were friendly and knowledgeable about the local area/walks (especially Steve who was an absolute tonic!)

Cons:

The room was spacious and full of character.

Characterful property in a countryside village. Thoughtful extras in the room ie fresh milk in the fridge, homemade bisc
Pros:

House is pretty and full of character, very fitting in the location.

Cons:

Low ceilings in parts of the room, have to remember to duck down if you’re tall.
