Pros:

אהבנו את הנוף, את החדר הפרטי המפואר, את המסעדה עם שירות מעולה!!!! בחרנו לאכול ארוחות ערב במסעדת מלון. הצוות המלון היה נדיב, ידידותי. רצים לציין במיוחד את בשם Anna Brand, שעזרה לנו מכל הלב בכל בקשה!!!
שרות חדרים היה טוב מאד!

Cons:

המגבות די ישנות.
לא היתה ערכת קפה/ תה בחדר, זה הפריע, למרות שמיד נתנו לנו קומקום.

Ein wunderschönes renoviertes Schloss mit bester Lage in der Wachau! Tolle Terrasse mit Etagere zum Frühstück und romant

Großartige Lage in Dürnstein mit tollem Blick in die Wachau und auf die Donau!

Cons:

Schade, dass die wunderschöne Terrasse beim Frühstücken nicht voll zu nutzen ist. Dadurch sitzen Gäste bei Schönwetter drinnen. Das Frühstückspersonal ist extrem bemüht, wird mit dem Andrang zwischen 9:00 und 10:00 nicht fertig, da die Frühstückszeit zu kurz ist!

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise.
Beautiful décor, lovely staff, rooms large and very clean. The restaurant — quality and variety of the food at the highest level.
The outdoor and indoor pools and the saunas — fantastic!!!
The hotel sits high on a cliff on the banks of the Danube. Incredible views!!!
That music (Strauss's Blue Danube) as you walk into the hotel courtyard — simply premium and a brilliant touch. It adds charm and a sense of grandeur to the place.
The town of Dürnstein is fabulous. Small, full of character, magical :)

Viel Tradition und unbeschreibliche Lage, wunderbare Gastronomie und tolle Gastgeber mit Zimmern, die einer Modernisieru

Cons:

Die Zimmereinrichtung ist schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, in Teilen auch nicht wirklich praktisch und zeitgemäß für 5 Sterne.

The hotel was clean and inviting , the young lady on reception was helpful & friendly. We were not happy with our room & it was not a problem for her to show us another that was more comfortable with large armchairs .

Cons:

This is the main reason for my low score , on our second evening we were happy to book in the dining room for a special 3 course meal at 6.30 pm.
We were sat at the table of our choice in a beautiful dining room by a lovely lady that lit the candle on our table and gave us the menu , we could see that there were waiters but mainly a older man that was taking the orders on his iPad & obviously in charge.
After we sat therefore about 15.mins without him approaching our table for our drink or food Oder my husband got up from his seat to ask him directly could we please order drinks. He was quite abrupt replying that he would come soon as he was busy.
He continued to take orders from tables that came in after us and spend considerable time chatting , completely ignoring us .

I finally got up from my seat to point out we had been sitting there now for 35 mins without even a drink. I told him he was very rude to treat his customers this way & he informed me he owned the place. I was astounded when in answering me he used the FUCK word to me . I couldn’t believe what I was hearing so asked him how he could use that language to me . My husband then heard and also stood up objecting to his language ..
He then got angry & picked up our menus and told us to find another place to eat & walked of , I followed & said we may as well check out of the hotel as well then & he said yes fuck of then .

We went to reception to ask to speak to one of the owners as we knew it was a family run hotel , a nice lady came to sit and chat to us about what had just transpired in the restaurant and then told us it was in fact her brother . She tried to smooth things over for us but under the circumstances we left with her help sending us 100 m away to
