Si je me limitais à mon expérience au château de Dürnstein, je penserais que les Autrichiens ne pensent qu’à faire de l’
Pros:

Une seule chose : la vue surplombant le Danube absolument magnifique.

Cons:

1- La page de réservation sur Booking laisse trompeusement supposer que vous réservez dans un hôtel avec spa, petit-déjeuner et tout le luxe du descriptif. Pas que le château est totalement vide et fermé en hiver, sauf la chambre qu’on met à disposition dans la poterne du château. Ni que vous irez vous même chercher les clés au café à quelque distance dans le village.
2- La chambre très agréable en soi mais les évacuations sont bouchées. Évidemment personne n’effectue l’entretien de la maison. Cela coûte de l’argent…
3- Le prix, 305€ par nuit tout de même, pour ne voir aucun personnel.
4- Le petit déjeuner en option au café du village pour 50€, option que nous n’avons heureusement pas choisie. Vous paierez moins cher en direct. Et, honnêtement, même dans ces conditions, vous serez très déçu.
5- Quand vous saurez que les propriétaires possèdent une bonne partie du village, que vous aurez affaire à de la main d’œuvre en grande partie étrangère et pas trop compétente, vous comprendrez qu’il s’agit d’un money making business. N’espérez pas un accueil chaleureux authentiquement autrichien.

Wir hatten für den 29. November ein Zimmer in Ihrem 5-Sterne Schlosshotel gebucht. Nach der Buchung erfuhren wir, dass der Innenhof aufgrund des Weihnachtsmarktes nicht als Parkplatz zur Verfügung steht. Ich wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass öffentliche Parkplätze in der Nähe vorhanden seien. Nach einem weiteren Telefonat teilte mir eine freundliche Mitarbeiterin mit, sie würde den Chef bezüglich eines privaten Parkplatzes fragen. In diesem Gespräch erfuhr ich auch, dass das Frühstück in der "Schlossgreisslerei" eingenommen werden muss, die einige Schritte entfernt liegt.
Bei unserer Ankunft erhielten wir den Schlüssel in der Schlossgreisslerei. An der Eingangstür zum Hauptschloss stand "vorübergehend geschlossen". Das Zimmer selbst war in Ordnung, jedoch war das Badezimmer winzig und für zwei Personen viel zu klein. Restaurant und Haupteingang waren geschlossen. Wir waren im Nebengebäude Tor 1 untergebracht. Soweit, so gut.
Am nächsten Morgen gingen wir in die Greisslerei frühstücken. Das Personal war ausgesprochen nett und freundlich. Als wir jedoch gehen wollten, informierte uns die Dame, dass wir noch circa 8 € für die Eierspeisen extra zahlen müssten. Für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel finde ich das nicht angemessen.
Das Frühstück im eigentlichen Hotel war nicht möglich, da dort der Weihnachtsmarkt stattfand. Meiner Meinung nach wäre es besser, das Hotel in dieser Zeit gar nicht zu vermieten. Wir waren offensichtlich die einzigen Gäste. Trotzdem ist das Hotel auf Booking.com weiterhin buchbar, obwohl an der Eingangstür "geschlossen" steht.

Bezpochyby se budu snažit někdy vrátit.
Pros:

Ačkoliv je hotel uzavřen, dokáže zajistit i v této době skvělý servis v Schoenthal vile, aniž by bylo nutno nějakého kontaktu. Vynikající organizace snídaně v přilehlém bistru se skvělou obsluhou. Bohatě vybavený minibar, dokonalé vybavení koupelen a fascinující zahrada s dechberoucím výhledem a připravenou saunou. Zařízený interiér, který vyvolává pocit domova. Unikátní stavba, jejíž celou jednu stěnu tvoří do interiéru obnažená skála, což vytváří neopakovatelnou atmosféru.

Very nice but overpriced hotel
Pros:

Nice view of the Danube but no balconies in rooms. Really more of a four star hotel than five. Rooms comfortable but not plush. Breakfast very good in very nice restaurant. Ability to use the terrace in nicer weather would really improve the experience. Nice indoor and outdoor pools. Staff is excellent and accommodating. Internet did not work in our room during entire three day stay, apparently due to a part on order. We were given a 10% discount for the inconvenience.
