Mai 26: Sehr gute Lage am Strand, gepflegter Pool mit Liegen & wunderschöne Bepflanzung! Sehr freundliche Besitzer und tägliche Zimmerreinigung. Handtücherwechsel alle drei Tage. In geringer Gehweite zahlreiche Tavernen, Cafés & Minimarkt.

Cons:

ABER liebe griech. Freunde: die Zimmer sind höchst reparaturbedürftig! Lockere Bettrahmen, knarrende alte ungedämmte Zimmertüren und sehr antikes, abgenutztes, viel zu kleines Badezimmer.

One of my favourite stays in Greece, highly recommend (especially if you’re on a budget)!!
Pros:

My friends and I stayed here when we were backpacking around Greece and it was perfect! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, always asking if there was anything we needed and making us feel very comfortable. The place was very clean and our room got cleaned every day (bin changes, fresh towels, beds made). The pool was also such a bonus, especially after a night out when we couldn’t be bothered to do much exploring. It was a very quiet and relaxing place, but there were still plenty of other lovely people staying there so it didn’t feel dead or isolated at all. And not to mention the location!! It’s right in front of a really nice beach and only a 10 minute walk into the main town Chora, and a 5 minute walk into the port. Super good value for money and suitable for all ages 😁

Cons:

No kitchen facilities but we were obviously expecting that when we booked the place. The staff also let us borrow a kettle and some plates, etc when we asked which was great.

De ligging direct aan het strand. Mooie lichte ruime kamers met een groot terras. De prachtige tuin van het hotel vol bloemen. Maar ook zeker de vriendelijkheid van de eigenaar en het personeel. Een echte aanrader.

Les hôtes de l’hôtel étaient exceptionnels, super gentils, ils nous ont vraiment aider durant notre séjour.

Cons:

Les lits étaient petits mais pour quelques nuits ça ne dérange pas !

We stayed at Mare Monte for 10 days, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. There was no hot water so we all had cold showers, another issue occurred when fake tan ended up on the bed sheets. Although most of the stains came out after washing, we were still fined £120. When we questioned the charge and refused to pay it immediately, the receptionist threatened to call the police Throughout our stay, the cleaner failed to provide fresh towels and didn’t change the sheets for most of our time there. Basic housekeeping standards were not met. Overall, this place seems more focused on squeezing money out of guests than providing a comfortable or welcoming stay. I would not recommend Mare Monte to anyone — it felt like a money-making scheme targeting at young people. As we were talking to older residents that lived there and they also said they got stains on sheets and didn’t get fined.

I can't say enough good things about the hotel and the hosts Lambros, Nikki and Katerina! The hotel is steps away from the beach and the property is beautiful! We were in a room with a balcony with bougainvillea and a view of Chora... surreal! The hosts are quick to respond and very welcoming, the cleaning lady was also lovely and it was wonderful to have a clean room after a long day out. I highly recommend the place to anyone looking for a place in Ios!

I gave ample notice that I had to leave a day early due to the ferry schedule but was charged in full and refused a refund.

Hotel in una posizione ottima vicino al porto e a pochi minuti in macchina dal centro. Dispone di una spiaggia proprio davanti (comoda e con tutti i servizi) e di un mini market affianco . Camere molto accoglienti, belle e pulite. I proprietari molto gentili e disponibili! Consigliato assolutamente!
