Shoreline Hotel Waikiki

新しく改装はされていますが、建物自体は古め？なのでお部屋が独特な古い匂いがしました。清潔にはしてありますが、多少古さは気になりました。

They took a towel that was mine and when I reported it was gone from my room they didn’t do anything about it. No solutions or compensations.

Pool disappointing 😞

The rooms were a bit outdated and sparse (a King room only had one desk chair to sit in; the shower water pressure was so strong that it sometimes flooded the bathroom). Soundproofing was rather poor.

Housekeeping was strangely stressful, in that you'd hear the staff with walkie-talkies starting 8am, but sometimes after leaving the room for a few hours during the day, you'd come back at 3-4pm and still find your room uncleaned. Maybe housekeeping was understaffed for peak season? There were always a few hairs that weren't ours on the bathroom floor.

Cons: everything else. Really disappointing hotel and stay. The noise from outside was insane. There's loud music until at least 10pm every night, much later on Saturdays. Construction from 4.30am. I wore earplugs and could still hear lyrics clearly. The door to the balcony NEEDS double glazing or better sealing, because the noise is atrocious. Was also woken up early by housekeeping attending to different rooms as noise travels through the corridors. The shower floods the bathroom no matter how hard you try to prevent it and it remains wet all day. There is zero ventilation in the bathroom and the condensation ends up everywhere in the hotel room, including dripping walls and ceilings. Everything in the room is in a state of disrepair - broken bath plug, damaged bathroom door, aircon that only half worked, stained furniture. Our towels left white fluff everywhere as though they were washed with tissues. I was told upon check in that we were "upgraded" to 1x queen room from a 1x double room... But 1x double rooms don't exist (only 2x doubles) so this was a lie. No infused water as advertised. The quality of everything in the room was so average and cheap. Really tacky overall, it was obviously built for the looks but not for comfort or longevity. Zero nice views. Balcony is tiny and not private at all.

I did so much research and was really disappointed. I've stayed in so many hotels across the US, Europe and Australia, including Maui and Waikiki, and the shoreline did not live up to expectations. I agree with previous reviews that it's more like an average motel. I can't fathom how some people reviewed the hotel well unless they were compensated... I do not recommend and won't be coming back.

Noise from the AC unit just outside my balcony, the pool is rather poor.

The room was extremely noisy due to the surrounding area and very poor soundproofing. It was impossible to rest, even late at night.

I spoke with the receptionist and was informed the hotel was fully booked, so no alternative room was available. As a result, I had to check out the same night, only a few hours after checking in.

Despite not staying overnight or using the remaining nights, the hotel charged the full amount for the entire stay and later stopped responding to messages.

I found the handling of this situation disappointing and not guest-oriented.

Didn't have a microwave, dresser, or sofa for sitting

The room was a little dated and the bed was slumped in the middle. I don’t know if it was broken or not
