I really enjoyed the property. It is clean, the staff is professional.
Unfortunately, the internet in the room is not very good.
The staff were very nice. My room was close to the main gate and road and it was very noisy at night making it difficult to sleep. There weren't any shops or restaurants within walking distance. I will not stay here again due to the noise.
The hotel is highly overrated. It can't be more than a 2 star standard at best. I stayed in an executive suite, where the tv didn't work, no remote, no bedside matt, small closet, room phone didn't work, no kitchen detergent, no garbage bin, no kitchen utensils & cutlery provided, bedroom door didn't lock.. the list is endless.
The location of the hotel is also not safe part of the city. Its not safe to walk about in the street.
The worst part is also the pricing. I paid $150 p/n for my room and that's pure extortion.
I am of the view that Hotels.com didn't do due diligence on this property and abused my trust when booking me there.
Dining options was limited
Everything was wonderful during my Silver Spring Hôtel Bugolobi Kampala
The hotel was fair for the price. However, fruits in the morning's breakfast was always the same. Efforts could be been made to add variety.
Great stay
Mattress was so hard!!!
I stayed at Silver Springs Hotel, Bugolobi in Kampala, A very beautiful and serene hotel with a peaceful outdoor garden ambience. I found it to be very inviting, and clean and comfortable and safe. Wi-Fi was good. Nathan and Staff was very polite, courteous and accommodating. Airport Pick-Up was arranged for an additional cost. Toilets near the Front Desk were very, very Clean. I enjoyed our dinner and breakfast buffet in the Hotel Restaurant. The children absolutely loved the beautiful swimming pool. We purchased 1-hour swimming lessons for our 7 year old. The one-on0one lesson started on the shallow end of the pool, by the end of the hour he was at the deep end of the pool. Silver Springs is my Go-To Hotel whenever I am in Kampala. I did not utilize the gym or conference/banquet facilities.
My first time staying overnight at this property ... it was decent and clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
Godt skjermet mot den travle trafikken i gatene utenfor. Opplevdes derfor litt som en oase
sehr schöne Anlage, Zimmer jedoch etwas veraltet, Essen gut, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit
Good hotel for business, with decent rooms and friendly service. Gym facilities are good but you have to pay for them
Firstly at check in the reception could not find my booking. The Indian buffet was awful and there was little alternative and the restaurant only had one menu. I decided to eat the Indian buffet which was limited as the trays were nearly all empty. I took what I could then the staff started to remove the trays and when I asked for naan bread they advised me that the chef had stopped making it so there was none available. The service was slow. Ice put in my drink when I asked not to.
The room was ok but the shower was cold. There was one child size bath robe for two adults. At the Pebbles bar my fruit juice took 45 minutes to arrive. The evening barbeque had no option for vegetarians. The pool was the size of a postage stamp. To use the large pool was an extra fee which was misleading on the website. The gym was also an extra cost. Some machines in the gym were dated and from the 90's. The housemaid woke me up at 8am to collect dirty towels but never replaced them so I had to use my own. The satellite TV didn't work when it rained. When it did the picture was grainy. I will never return to this hotel. This hotel is run by an utterly shambolic staff who were slow, didn't listen to requests and inconsiderate.
