Pros:

It was in a good area

Cons:

On arrival we had to pay for our stay and it was supposed to be 180€, when we went to pay it came up on the card machine if we wanna use pound or euros and of course with our thinking we just picked euro, the staff didn’t warn us for whatever reason? when we paid we were charged 202€ and i asked why and staff said it was just the exchange rate, i understand there’s an exchange rate but 20 extra euro is crazy and it could have been avoided if they just told us.They knew we were young and wouldn’t have known but didn’t care to tell us.we also emailed asking to change our room and they never got back to us and didn’t change our room. when we got to our room there was a horrible smell of cigarettes especially coming from the bathroom. we thought it could’ve been coming from outside but when we closed the windows the smell got more intense to my guess is either the people before us were smoking in there (highly doubt it) or cleaning staff was smoking in our room. When i went to use the shower it had very clearly not been cleaned as there was still dirt marks on the wall and also hair on the floor it was absolutely vile. the floors were also FILTHY.I went to use a towel after showering and genuinly couldn’t use it because it smelled so nasty, it smelled like it wasn’t washed before hand or like it was just thrown into a washing machine with out any washing liquid. also the sink in our bathroom doesn’t work properly it falls down when u lift it up. for €202 euro we were very disappointed

Die Unterkunft war insgesamt in Ordnung.
Pros:

Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück.

Cons:

Beim Essen zählte Masse statt Klasse und das gesamte Haus hat einen leiten Duft nach Frittierfett.

One night stay after wedding.
Pros:

Attended a wedding party end of July and being a regular to the Beechlawn many years age the property has improved greatly .Nice restaurant area which looked very busy but as we were having a buffet in one of the function rooms we just looked at the bistro weekend menu which had a decent selection reasonably priced for a hotel. Rooms tastefully decorated with comfortable bed, modern bathroom and shower and the usual in room extras. Breakfast in the morning was the usual help yourself continental or you can choose the table served full cooked from the menu. Think the room rates a little expensive for where the Beechlawn is but its clean, modern serving good food and free parking available. One little point that needs addressed is at reception there is a sign stating no sports shirts to be worn yet customers are walking in football tops??. No need for the sign then if its not being adhered to.
