The reception is very poor, the rooms are not clean, the street is dirty, I rented it for two nights and left without sleeping.
Clean and comfortable otherwise nothing soecial.
The Empire Addis International hotel is kept in very nice condition with clean rooms, comfortable beds and nice restaurant and bar areas. There is a lot of construction in the area around it and partially finished roads, however it is easy enough to walk out to the main road where you can find restaurants, other hotels and shops. Their airport shuttle is available 24/7 and ready within 5 minutes of asking!
Location was good. Short walk to lots of restaurants. The late checkout time and airport shuttles were also great.
I didn’t like the smell emanating from the bathroom.
I arrived from the airport at 3am only to find that the room I had reserved wasn’t actually reserved and I had to wait in the lobby until 5:30 for a room to open up. The staff also insisted that I hadn’t paid (I had, but it was online, which they seemed disconnected from). The next morning when I went out for a walk (the hotel is at the end of a dirt road), I was approached by a man who claimed to be the hotel driver who offered to tour me around. It soon became clear he was trying to scam me: inviting me to “cultural dance ceremony” being put on because it was an Ethiopian holiday (it wasn’t). Though he may be unrelated to the hotel he seemed to know people that worked there. Regardless, be careful if traveling in the area.
The restaurant servers were lovely, but the rest of the stay was below par. The bathroom door didn't close, the check-in staff were not very helpful, the airport shuttle arrived very late etc.
It was nice expirience in this hotel. Friendly working staff and very clean hotel. I would stay there again during my business trips.
Friendly and helpful staff but hotel is off the beaten path and hard to find although a close walk from the airport.
It was a nice stay. A problem I experienced was some noise during the night time from outside. Either from the bar or a near by club/building. The staff were friendly for the most part. The food was excellent. Thank you for the good experience.
Hotel was nice local ethopen hotel off Cameroon street road is passable to hotel. All was good at hotel if you like quite secure room this is the place. Taxi are expensive to epac and you are not close to main part of boil. Nice hotel for the price.
Nearest hotel from the ADD airport with a free convenient shuttle service (shared). Good wifi connection but there's a disruption of electricity at night for a couple of minutes.
Empire Addis International Hotel is located near bole airport and walking distance to two malls, cafe and shops. They have humble and great staff. Looking forward to stay again in the future trips. There is no a lot of space for parking but the location, the reasonable price and convenience pays off.
Then hotel is very basic and works for a transit/overnight stay. It is close to airport and there is a free shuttle. Rooms are large but basic and the breakfast is ordinary. This hotel is more a 2 /12 star on international standards
Great stay. Quick in and out.
Nice hotel just arrived early morning and was very accommodating
The room was clean and, except for one, the staff was helpful. There were a few issues with the room.
Bottled Water is included, be sure to ask for it.
I was stayed in two days.
* Location near by Addis Ababa Airport.
* Staffs good
* house keeping very poor like Rest room , etc.
But overall good.
Stayed for a week, rooms have a lot of space, looks like apartment style building not a hotel. Internet is good in room and lobby. Rooms with kitchens are great, only issue is nothing inside new kitchen cabnets / not even a cup ???
As usual most workers are great and try to help as much as possible
All rooms ( i looked at many and used 2 ) have very nice table and floor lamps but none of them can be pluged into was to be used !!!
Arrived at the Hotel tonight. But had a few problems with the room.
No hot water to take a shower – Called reception - By 23H44 still no one to look why – After they came to have a look at 24H00 the handy man said they can’t do anything;
Main bedroom & Bed lights do not work – Called reception – They can’t fix it tonight;
Bathroom towels have holes in them – wear and tear – looks like very old towels;
Room was not as clean as some of the other Hotels we have been living in while travelling;
Shower is blocked and overflows onto the floor.
The second night did go down without any problems, threadbare towels, blocked shower drain for cold water shower and the bedside lights worked.
They were apologetic but that as far as I am concerned is absolutely no excuse.
They said the hotel was full and they could not move him – it appears that they overbooked and gave him a room that should have been closed off.
