Inadequate unsatisfactory room. Will not stay here again
Pros:

Great location. Bueatiful historic hotel

Cons:

The room was very small.
Suggestions to make the room more comfortable for 2 people include:
Remove microwave from.the room if it's not to be used by guests. Put the fridge next to the sink so there is space in the wardrobe.
Remove 1 of the 2 heaters during summer. Not needed.
Replace the old bulky curtains with blinds.
This room is overpriced and should either be upgraded or reduce price.
Put the TV on the wall would create space.

Excellent stay
Pros:

Lovely staff who were very helpful, we were given earlier access to our room as we had to get ready for a wedding. We also got a free upgrade to a sea view room.

Location was excellent. Loved that it is an historic building. The funishings and decor were beautiful. Lovely modern bathroom. Got upgraded to a harbour view room, the view was amazing.

Cons:

Was a shame the bar didn't open earlier. The building is starting to look a little run down, curtains in the room were torn. And bathroom blind broken.

Pros:

Hotel was fantastic. We were lucky to get an up grade which was lovely however due to strong winds a light had come loose outside our room creating a banging noise. The staff so Kindly upgraded us again to a suite no problem.

Pros:

Incredible location, amazing views, and tremendous value for our stay. We were upgraded, and enjoyed two suites on the upper level. Staff may check in easy, and we were able to walk too many things nearby. The hotel is historic, which means some things show their age, but we found that endearing.

My favourite home away from home!
Pros:

I absolutely adore the esplanade, I stay there almost every weekend.
It’s so close to the navy as my partner is there, so many amazing food options all in walking distance and amazing views from the rooms.
The staff are so so soo awesome, kind, welcoming.
I %10000 percent recommend this place!!
