East Coast Hotel Guangzhou

Nice location, one side on the main road , the back is the river, room was nice and comfortable bed, over looking the river which was plus , staff polite and helpful, but breakfast did not cater for Europeans or middle east customers, Television channels only one found in English out of 50

This Hotel came as a recommendation from locals. Our first two nights were in a suite, and it was very romantic, full windows even in the bathroom overlooking the Pearl River. We moved across the hall on our last night to a regular room with a king bed and it was 1/3 less the size and money. Everything worked in these room's which is exceptional for China, they were quiet and the service was good. There are no foreigners at this hotel, but we speak the language, front desk girl knows enough English just to check someone in. The Breakfast was included and it was just ok, two other paying restaurants in the hotel were excellent. There was another Chinese restaurant across the street on the corner that was cheaper and better.

Hotel has a big room, but I thought the mattress was to hard. It's very well located and with good options around. Breakfast is well served with good local food. Attendants don't speak English very well but they are very helpful. Not very far from train station. For business travel is a good place for staying.

Around of hotel, there is a AEON shopping center, 7-11. very convinience.
Front people don't speak english well, so you need some easy chinese mandalin level.
the location is river side of juhai river, view is nice.
If you want to study chinesemandalin, you have to try this hotel, that was so good experience for me!
Breakfast is start from 7:30 -9:30 some dinsum yamucha, tea and coffee was nice.

Hotel lobby is dark and staff do not speak English. Room is spacious but windows were opened and could not be closed. The nice part is the bathroom equipped with toto bathtub and toilet. But badly renovated probably has water damage every in the room and we were unable to close the bathroom door.Dirty pillows and towels, even "brand new"tooth bushes are stained " registered for 2 pm check out, received a call from staff at 12:00 noon if we are extending our stay since we have not checked out. Key card automatically stop functioning at 13:00 and we got locked outside the room. Reception asked is for identification for unlocking the room but our identification documents were in the room which technically we have not checked out yet. Overall I would suggest international travellers to stick to an international hotel, this hotel would only suit locals.

My visit was for an elongated Weekend, hotel was in an area where you have a lot of shopping and walking possibilities.
The room was extremely big, nice, new and clean. I enjoyed my stay there. But the Breakfast was horrible and the stuff, during you take your breakfast at 9:30 begin to shut down the Breakfast. Later we got the point. There is at the 20th floor a restaurant, they apparently want to lead you there, which is expensive and only Chinese food available.
So if you are a person who sits longer and want to enjoy the Breakfast, it is not a good choice. on the other hand for the rooms I would say it can be worth, if you are not going at the same time of Canton Fair, for the value to the price.

I was totally impressed by the size of the bed, perhaps that was the hugest bed i've ever seen in my life, it can fit for 4 people, and another thing the shower, they installed the shower head as big as the ping pong racket!
The location is quite far from the malls and i had to use car because i don't see any public transportation around. Breakfast was so so, but you can find some coffee shop few feet away from the hotel.
Service is average, i found smile is quite rare here and only a few of the crew can speak english. Basically is an okay place to stay.
