Building work at next door property started at 8am each day of our 4 night stay which was quite noisy.
A lot of Santorini was still closed during our stay which led us to perhaps spend more time at Porto Fira than we would have done otherwise. We would have loved the opportunity to have a kettle and ability to make a cup of tea as standard in the room.
Breakfasts were brought to the room each morning and dinners were available to order to the room. Unfortunately the only table and chairs settings were in the outdoor area and not undercover. As it rained quite consistently during our stay we were unable to use these. A small inside table and 2 chairs would have been great OR provide cover over the outdoor settings. Overhead cover to the spa would also have been useful.
The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The view couldn’t have been any more magical. Breakfast was also delicious and made fresh to order for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

GREAT place to stay in the heart of Fira. Great views and a comfortable room with all necessary amenities. Jacuzzi with overlook on the patio for our particular suite.
Staff extraordinarily helpful and go out of their way to make your stay welcome and pleasant. They do serve breakfast if you like. Each evening you can turn in your order along with your preferred time and they will bring a tray with breakfast, juice and/or coffee of your choice.
Location is great, although, understand in Fira or anywhere on Santorini, you will climb steps. Porto Fira was closest to everything.
Of special note - they will arrange pick up and/or transfer to the port or airport. Just let them know ahead of time. We asked for a rental car on one of our days and they arranged it. Having a car allowed free range to tour the island and then the company picked the car up next day at the airport. Very helpful.
Highly recommend Porto Fira Suites.
Musty sewer smell from pipes throughout most of our stay. Not overwhelming, but noticeable. Apparently it is normal for this throughout the island i’m told. Everything else about this place made up for that fault.
The views and the staff were simply amazing especially Miss Mayra on the front desk who was always ready to help with anything. As we went during off season, there was not much happening around Santorini and none of the good restaurants and activities were open. However the staff of Porto Fira was exceptional and made sure that we were able to spend quality time. We were also upgraded to a better suite as the one we originally booked had a foul smell coming from somewhere. All in all, it was one of the best stays we have had in a ling time.
The hotel is located on a steep 1000+ feet downhill and the climbs to get to anywhere were not possible for more than 1-2 times a day. So basically anyone with any joint or age related issues would have a serious issue staying at this property. Otherwise, this property is second to none in Santorini.

Tough for guests with physical limitations or stamina issues — over 100 steps to negotiate going down the cliff face to hotel; obviously tougher climbing uphill.

Location is difficult to get to and from. Many steps, very slippery, steep climbs, not feasible for everyone. Breakfast options are limited. TV in our room never worked.

Wow, what a great hotel! We were not expecting it to be on the side of a cliff, so this hotel is definitely not for those needing accessibility (many steps). The cliff also meant the views were amazing! The porter was able to take our bags from the transportation to the room. Breakfast was phenomenal and was at our private balcony every morning. The staff were very kind. Would go back :)
