Faros Beach Hotel

Well located but felt more like a hostel. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Overall it was ‘fine’, but we were disappointed as we expected better from the photos. Great location near the lively side of town but still quiet in the room. We didn’t have a balcony so the room was quite dark and dingy. The lights flickered so we couldn’t leave them on. Roof top access was quite cool in the evening. Self check in was seamless. Pros and cons!

Room 9 is incredible. Amazing view, super quiet, spacious, loved it!

There was a lovely young man on the desk of an afternoon. he opened the door of my room every day, often unprompted, because he knew I had difficulties with the key. That's good service! The room was clean, functional, quiet & had a view of the Venetian harbour & lighthouse, which at night was lit up with fairy lights. I loved it there.

Faros Beach is a good, comfortable establishment. It’s also well placed by the old Venetian harbor. I enjoyed my stay.

Ondanks de naam is het geen hotel, wat ze zelf ook aangeven op een blaadje welke je in je kamer vind. Geweldige locatie en daar is het wel mee gezegd. Slechte badkamer een heel erg slecht bed met de goedkoopste lattenbodem ooit waar alle latten los zaten aan 1 kant.

Incredible view, amazing location, unbelievably priced. So happy about it we stayed an extra night.

Great views, excellent location and relatively easy walk on flat surface to the beach (about 800meters). The main problem was there was excessive noise generated from both outside of the hotel and inside guests could be heard moving their chairs. But if you can withstand the noise its a great option.

Overall, really convenient to stay for 1-2 nights if you want to be inside the old town and port. Great location. On the other hand, the hotel needs some renovation work to make the whole stay for the guests more pleasant.

The view from our window was perfect. Perfect location and very walkable. The downside was that the noise/music from the disco across the way was very loud all night long. It did not stop until 3am. The room is on the small side, but clean and fresh.

Ein sehr schönes kleines Hotel direkt am venizianieschen Hafen. Alles sehr fußläufig zu erreichen.
Leider gab es keinen Schrank wo man etwas verstauen konnte. Daher nicht unbedingt für einen 14 tägigen Aufenthalt geeignet sondern nur für Leute die höchstens 2-3 Tage dort bleiben.
Die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse ist fantastisch.

The staff was very nice and the hotel is in a great location as far as old town Rethymno- but that area of the port smelled like sewage as did the room we were in. I’m not sure the actual hotel could do anything about it. The shower/bathroom also wasn’t very clean, mold on walls - need a good scrubbing! We were only in town for 1 night so we dealt with it but I would have changed hotels if we were planning to stay longer.

Nice hotel within walking distance of everything in Old Town Rethymnon. We stayed in the Jr. Suite which had a great waterview. The suite was large, comfortable and clean. The staff was very nice and friendly.
