We were upgraded to a lodge at no extra cost. Very spacious and well appointed.
Location peaceful and quiet.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They rang around and organised an evening meal on arrival as the hotel's own restaurant wasn't open.

Nothing to not like.
Visitors should be aware that during the off season not all the islands eating places are open and booking meals is probably a necessity. Don't be put of though, just ask at the place you dine as to which establishments will be open tomorrow and book accordingly (I think there must be some kind of roster system).
Great place to stay on Sark with exceptional staff. Also first class breakfast (specially the coffee).
Such a shame that the Moinerie pub wasn't offering food. We were able to walk or cycle to to The Old Hall but this would not have been a good option in bad weather.

Road to the village was a dirt track that is used by tractors and this makes it very muddy and slippery (downhill)
The hotel setting is wonderful. The hotel is set in woodland and arranged around a courtyard with a series of Lodges that are attached to an older house. The staff were all lovely and very welcoming, and Mercy kindly booked all of our restaurants during our stay, guiding us on times and distances etc. The Hotel is well placed, about 15 minutes walk from the Avenue and most restaurants, but also with a path leading out to a point on the end of the island looking over towards Herm and Guernsey, which was superb, and especially at night! It is also only a few minutes walk from the 'Window in the rock' which is another amazing sight! Definitely recommended!
The breakfast is only Continental, and was lovely but it would have been nice to have some hot options. Other than that, nothing to add!

Bed's are very firm and a bit uncomfortable. Commercial hallway emergency lighting in the room which means it's never dark
Warm welcome. Clean and well equipped. Good service. Interesting buildings
Only offered breakfast. No directions to find it. We had to ask several people for help. Long walk from the village mostly down a dirt track. We had to eat out early so as to be able to see our way back.
Quiet location. Comfortable beds and very big room.
No evening meal at the hotel. Green night light much too bright.

Endroit merveilleux, personnel aux petits soins et très accueillant, petit déjeuner excellent.
Moquette tachée, peinture écaillée sur le radiateur... À ce niveau de prix, et comparé au confort général excellent, ces détails sont un peu dommage.
Breakfast was just what I wanted - not much in the way of cooked breakfast but I didn’t want that.
The staff was extremely friendly and flexible – rebookings were handled without any issues, which made our stay much more relaxed. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast area was lovely. The buffet breakfast itself was varied and tasty.
The only downside: the hotel is a bit dated, and we noticed some mold in the bathroom, which was unfortunate.
