Excellent hotel in Canillo, just after Andorra. Absolutely preferable to the busy Andorra and the locals who drive like they are perpetually competing with tourists. Hotel that meets all expectations, quick check-in and check-out, friendly and helpful. In summer the restaurant is closed, but at the café-bar they serve some snacks that are a good substitute for dinner. We had a double hamburger and fried chicken fingers, all very good at a fair price. The room is also very good, large, very comfortable bed. My wife and I slept very well. The plus is given by the presence of the bidet in the bathroom, almost impossible to finf in those areas. The breakfast was also very good, there was everything we needed and more. The motorbike was parked in the underground garage for a small supplement. The total price paid was absolutely honest and in line with the quality and services offered, if I were to return to those parts again I would definitely return to the Font d'Argent. Stayed here for a short, two-night stay and it proved to be a great first experience in Andorra. It is easily reachable by public transportation from Andorra la Vella as it is located on the main road and it’s also great basis to visit the famous Tibetan bridge and the Roc del Quer viewpoint.
The room was super comfortable with both a bath tub and a shower and lots of storage space. Especially enjoyed the breakfast with lots of local tastes and flavors. The reception staff was a highlight, they went out of their way with kindness and hospitality. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if returning for hiking in the nearby gorgeous mountain ranges.

The hotel offers excellent breakfast an dinner. Mattresses are very comfortable. Rooms were comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to families. We enjoyed the nice spa inside the hotel. Location was great with close access to the ski lift.

Great location, 3 minutes walk to the funicular. There is storage space for skis. Polite staff. Delicious breakfasts and dinners. At the bar bartender makes delicious cocktails.
Comfortable mattresse. Cleaning of the room is impeccable.
Nice spa area.
Recommended for ski lovers.

We booked this hotel through a Sunweb package tour for our annual ski trip. What a fantastic hotel, firstly close to the ski lift (5 minute walk), rooms excellent, serviced daily. Half board option was fantastic with plenty of choice each evening, fish and salads along with buffet selections superb. Special mention to Hugo the barman who really looked after us during our stay, top bloke who is a credit to the hotel and his profession. Shout out to Zoe in reception who looked after all of our add hock requests. Lovely hotel well worth a visit.

We have 2 young girls so we wanted somewhere close to the slopes so we wouldn’t have to drive , get buses etc. This hotel is a 2 minute walk from the gondola, and Canillo itself is the ideal location for beginners/ children, with easy access to more challenging slopes for those with more experience. The hotel was really clean, our room was a great size,, the staff were all super friendly , and the food was good and varied enough for everyone”s tastes (though paella really shouldn’t be spicy!). We will definitely be booking again.

We stayed here in February as we wanted to be nice and near the ski lift. It is a great location for this. It's about a 5 minute walk from it and near lots of ski equipment shops also.
The hotel itself is very clean. The staff were absolutely brilliant and they even had a bottle of champagne waiting for us as we were there on honeymoon. Our room had a Jacuzzi bath- Unreal!!!
There is a buffet dinner option at €18 per person, which is a fairly decent spread.
I'd stay there again for the spa alone. It was a welcome treat to sit in the hydro-pools, saunas and steam rooms in the evenings after a long day skiing/falling down the slopes.
They have a locker room in the basement for your equipment so you can store it overnight. It is definitely one for those who are skiers.

My friend and I are very critical when it comes to service and hotel standards and I very rarely write reviews, especially this long... however, this hotel is exceptional value for money!

I cannot understand some of the other comments on the reviews and think most of them are just miserable sods!

First impression when you walk in the reception is brilliant. Very neat and modern with a welcoming reception. We had a Twin Room which was immaculately cleaned and had a large room with huge 4pc bathroom. Cleaned daily.

The bar was modern and drinks very reasonably priced. Cheaper than the UK! €4 for large beer (pint) €7 for Gin and Lemonade. (Very generous measures). €3 for Large Brandy.

Every single member of staff made us feel welcome and nothing to much trouble.

I have seen some comments re the cost for the spa. Yes this is a extra but I personally think that is a good idea. The hotel has approximately 70-80 rooms and if it was free then it would constantly be full! It was €15 for 3 days! Anyone that thinks that’s to much, try and find a decent spa for cheaper. Comes with Sauna, Steam Room, Ice Room, pool with several water jets. Separate jacuzzi pool.

Food was brilliant. Always a little apprehensive when it comes to Buffett breakfast and Dinner however there was lots of variety and this changed daily. Food cooked to high standard and always left absolutely stuffed!

I think of any hotel I have stayed in, this is way up there for best value for money. I hope the hotel reads this review and that they thank all their staff from us for a exceptional experience. Especially the young girl working the bar and the slightly older chap who looks like the manager possibly.

If we decide to come back to Andorra skiing, we will definitely be staying again!
