Good hotel. Very clean. Breakfast and dinner buffet excellent - wide selection of items. Staff are brilliant - efficient, friendly doing everything they can to make sure you have a good stay.
1 min walk to slope - ski room and lockers in basement so you can get changed and walk straight to the lifts.
Un séjour magnifique complètement admirative de l'accueil, la propreté de la ville exemplaire, et tout ces merveilleux paysages, un depayiunsement Total un bien être, et un bon air que du bonheur.
The rooms really need a update.
As we arrived I could smell sweat in our room!
The fact that there is NO hooks to hang any of your skiwear could be the problem.
Every ski resort I’ve been to over the last 15 years all have hooks to hang your ski gear! Maybe something to consider?
The bed was so uncomfortable and the bedding plus towels are so old and thin.
In the bathroom there’s a door stopper directly where your feet go as your sat on the toilet which is daft thinking as it could
Be better positioned.
We’ve stayed here a few times as the location is perfect but all in all the whole hotel needs a refurb. The spa was the main attraction for us but now they charge pp €9 a day which we weren’t aware of.
Although I didn't stay at this hotel, I did make advantage of the spa and massage center because I was staying at a place just in front. The hotel had a fantastic deal that literally rescued my ski week: a weekly bundle of four massages (25 minutes each day).
Don't expect a spa with a red velvet feeling. It's a straightforward, tidy, pleasant spot.
The therapist is really skilled, professional, and patient. During each session, he took the time to learn about my back issue, which was the most uncomfortable part of my body, and he really helped to ease it so I could enjoy my vacation stress-free.
He was really helpful in relieving tension and back discomfort and he helped a lot recovering from a leg injury.
Four of us (kids, teenagers and adults) in my party went for massages because he was so skilled.
This is my biggest recommendation in Pas: book these massages! They are great!
Muutaman päivän laskettelumatka. Huoneessa perusasiat ok. Näkymä huoneesta kujalle. Melua kuului toisinaan öisin kadulta. Aamupala oli välttävä.
Lovely hotel, great location and excellent reception staff and housekeeping. Spa could do with a little upgrading to be competitive.
Visited here in March 2024 on a lads snowboarding trip.
I'll get a few of the negative's out the way first as the positives far outweigh the negatives.
The worst thing for me was the facilities for storing the snow gear, skis and snowboards following a day in the snow I would expect the facilities to be good enough to dry out the gear ready for the next day but we found the locker room damp with no heating like we have experienced in other hotels in the past. This meant out boots were damp each day.
The mountain views advertised mean you can see part of a mountain if you break your neck out the windows. Not really an issue though.
The hotel location is perfect for access to the slopes. Literally a few minutes walk.
Directly next door in either direction or opposite the hotel are bars and clubs, shops and ski shops etc. Noise from bars and clubs was a bit loud on the weekend and woke me one night but nothing major.
I have seen a few bad reviews mention the language of the staff not being great English. Considering you're not in England I'm not sure what some people expect. Majority of the staff had good English with only a few struggled a bit to understand us and likewise us to understand them but overall it was not a problem.
One thing I can say is even if the language was an issue the staff we pleasant, polite and helpful.
Rooms was tidy and housekeeping cleaned and made beds every day. not the biggest rooms but good enough for what we needed.
Food was good from the restaurant. I tended to stay away from the main buffet as the food was generally not hot enough unless you're lucky enough to get the food when it comes out but the freshly cooked grilled food each night cooked to order along with the fresh eggs / omelet's each morning was more than adequate. Fresh fruit and pastries each day was also good.
Spa facilities was basic but better than nothing and we did spend a couple of nights in there.
On the day of departure we had to leave early at 4.30am and the hotel provided us all with a small bag containing some food and a drink which was a nice unexpected touch.
I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I came back to this area for snowboarding in the future.
We visited Pas during the February half term with our two sons. The hotel location is perfect and just a short walk to the slopes from the ski lockers.
The staff deserve a particular mention, the reception girls were very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant staff were very pleasant and efficient and the restaurant food was varied, there was plenty of choice for everyone. Although the hotel was full, we never felt the queues were overly long at breakfast or dinner.
We were very happy with our 2 interconnecting rooms, which were very clean and spacious, and we had a view of the slopes, which was fab. Heard some noise outside in the night from partygoers on a couple of occasions, but it didn't affect our holiday at all. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Lovely hotel, convenient for the lifts with good facilities to store your skis.
Staff are very friendly and efficient, even Victoria, the hotel Director, is up front making sure the guests have everything they need.
The food was good although the grill gets busy with no order to who is served.
The reception and cafe were well presented and a pleasant place to spend some time after a long day on the slopes.
My room was very clean and in good condition, however as a solo traveller the size was insufficient especially as I had to pay single occupancy.
Overall I had a fabulous experience at the Font D Argent and would recommend this hotel to friends and family and visit again myself if a larger room was provided.

We run a glamping business in the u.k ,"trunkquillity treehouse"
We know you cant please everyone, all of the time, weve had offers of blackmail,"bad reviews unless you give us money etc",tripadvisor is continually abused by many types, the hotel is lovley, the staff are wonderful, thats what you should be reviewing
The hotel is not responsible for clubs, pubs or drunks
We recomend it fully for what it is and its proximity from the slopes
Well done
John and helen
Ne surtout pas réserver des chambres côté ruelle.
Spa un peu dépassé sans aucun charme
Good location and clean hotel. Most staff were very friendly but we could not get reception staff to change our rooms despite them promising to do so.
Issues we had were on two counts:
The rooms were very noisy at night. Lots pf shouting and loud behaviour outside as the bars closed. This carried on till 4am. We were supposedly on the 3rd floor but because the hotel is on a hill that meant our windows were at street level, making noises levels very high!
Other issue was cold food. the heat lamps seem to not work. The dinner opened at 7pm and you arrive and help yourself to food on the counter and it would be cold. Which can be lead to food poisoning!
Overall I did enjoy my stay at the Font D’Argent, though it was let down in a number of areas.
Our check-in was quick and easy and the room was very comfortable in general. We loved the spar downstairs and the ski locker room was very handy before going out on the slopes. The highlight was the catering staff, from the servers to the chefs, who were always highly welcoming and did their best to attend to our needs.
Beginning with the food provision, it was disappointing how few meat-free options were available. Additionally, the placards were highly inconsistent with displaying the contents of a dish, for those with dietary requirements and allergies, of which my party had both.
Our room keys would demagnetise, meaning we had to repeatedly have them reset by reception. Once or twice may be expected, but when it was happening daily, this became an unnecessary frustration.
Our en suite didn’t seem to have a working extractor fan, so water vapour and bathroom smells would fill the room unless we kept the door closed at all times. We also needed to open the large window onto the noisy street in order to receive fresh air daily. The sound proofing was otherwise very good, but it was unfortunate that this was necessitated by lack of an extractor fan.
The worst part of our stay was the neighbours in the rooms across from us, who would play loud music with the door open and smoke so that the smell was actually strong in our room. We spoke to them, and then complained to the reception when this didn’t stop, but little seemed to be done. Considering how strong the smell was in the corridor, it was actually worrying that none of the fire alarms went off. While it was chance that we happened to be living across from such people, we would have liked to see more evidence of action being taken by the staff, or at least reassurance that they were doing all that they could.
Overall I did very much like this hotel, and again the highlight was the lovely catering staff. Unfortunately our stay was somewhat spoiled by a number of things coming together.
We stayed at the Font D'Argent from 6th March until the 13th March and all in all, had an enjoyable stay, but despite many aspects of the hotel being good, there were also a few things that let it down.
We arrived in the evening and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who promptly checked us in, explained everything about the facilities clearly and gave us our keys. The first thing that surprised me is there was no registration card to sign - we were simply asked to provide our contact details on a post-it note. Having worked in hotels myself for 9 years in London, this was a very strange experience for me and not something you would expect of a 4* hotel.
We got to the room, which was nice and a decent size. It came equipped with a fridge, but notably no tea or coffee-making facilities. This was fine though, as the fridge did come in useful during our stay. The beds were comfortable, aside from the provided pillow, which was a long cylindrical thing that wasn't the most pleasant to sleep on. Fortunately, extra (normal) pillows were provided in the wardrobe, so this wasn't a problem.
One of my main criticisms would be that there was no extractor fan in the bathroom, which meant every bath and shower filled the room with steam with nowhere to vent it unless you choose to open your window and leave it open. In -8 degree temperatures, this was not ideal. Strangely, there was a speaker in the bathroom that played extremely quiet music. At first, we thought this was noise coming from downstairs until we discovered the speaker, which appeared to have no controls or instructions. We never did get what the point of it was.
The first night we were repeatedly disturbed by noise in the corridor from neighbouring guests, who kept their doors open and would play loud music constantly, talk loudly on the phone, whistle and shout to each other down the corridor at all hours. This, coupled with the two Irish bars right outside our window (our room was situated at the back of the hotel), meant there was quite a fair bit of noise most evenings. We were on the third floor, so bear this in mind if you are placed there during your stay.
The second, and largest, disappointment was the constant smell of cigarette and cigar smoke every day in the corridor that constantly found its way into our rooms. Being non-smokers, this was thoroughly unpleasant. We reported this to the staff every day, sometimes twice a day, to different staff members and I feel it was never adequately dealt with. When reporting it to the reception, it felt like we were disturbing them and we were never offered any update on what they were doing to investigate, nor were we ever offered a room move or anything by way of apology other than basic platitudes and staff pointing out that they do have no-smoking signs. My suggestion to staff, working in hotels myself, would firstly to liaise with housekeeping to try and determine which room is smoking, to remind guests on check-in of the smoking policy, and to send letters to each room on a floor reminding every guest of this policy should staff not manage to determine which room it is. I usually find that reminding guests there is a fine for smoking in a room does a great deal to prevent reoccurrence. It was also a safety concern for us that the smoking did not seem to trigger any kind of smoke alarm during the stay, plus we were traveling with somebody asthmatic, so constant cigarette smoke hovering around can really negatively impact people's health.
The second irritation was that nearly every day our keys deactivated. However, this is due to no fault of the staff as card keys are notoriously unreliable. A staff member did inform me that using the ski slopes can often de-magnetise the key (I imagine due to using the chair lift gates, which are electronic). If this is the case, though, for a hotel that largely accommodates skiers, perhaps an alternative kind of key system should be considered, such as fobs instead of cards.
One of the best things about the stay was the friendly restaurant team. Nearly every day we were greeted by an extremely pleasant gentleman at dinner who always made the effort to talk to us, smile and make sure we were well tended to. I was only sorry that we never got his name! The rest of the restaurant team were also fantastic and a real credit to the hotel.
Personally, I found the dinner choices adequate for myself, but there was a lack of vegetarian options on the buffet, which the vegetarian companion we were travelling with occasionally struggled with, although the chef, on request, would prepare a vegetable option especially, which I found to be very thoughtful and kind and to me this made up for this shortcoming.
There was an area downstairs with sofas and chairs for guests to use, which came in useful for socialising in the evenings with people we'd travelled with, especially as we were allowed to take our drinks down there. The hotel also has a spa with two jacuzzis, two steam rooms and two saunas. While we made use of this during our stay, we occasionally found that other guests would have a tendency to hog and gate-keep the jacuzzis, as well as the chairs in the spa, meaning often you were resigned to just the steam rooms or saunas for the whole time, which could be disappointing if you were looking forward to a soak after a long day of skiing. There was also no changing rooms or lockers in the spa, and considering no bathrobes were provided for us to walk to and from the spa/bedrooms, this often meant getting undressed in front of other guests using the spa, which some people may find awkward.
The hotel does provide a locker room for skis, which was easy to use, although a little on the small side (only an issue when there were several people in there at once). The lockers themselves were spacious enough for two people to use and store their skis, helmets and boots. There was also a handy back exit to the hotel from this locker room that leads directly to the slopes, but again it could be frustrating trying to get back through this back entrance and finding your key was deactivated and having to walk all the way back around and uphill to the front of the hotel in snow boots and holding skis.
All in all, we had a pleasant stay at the Font D'Argent, but it was definitely the restaurant team that made up for the shortcomings, because ultimately the smoking, noise, and lack of decent response from reception really did let it down. Regardless, I would be happy to stay there again should we ever return to Andorra.
Font D'Argent is a really nice hotel. The rooms are nice and clean. The bed is comfortable. The staff at the hotel was excellent, helpful and nice. All great! Until around 11pm. The hotel is right above some bars and the noise at night - until 3AM ... and even 5AM is HORRIBLE. It is constant. It is loud. Not just screaming kids. Fights. Bottles breaking. You name it. EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. and the hotel claims that there is nothing that can be done. Calling the police (only in extreme situations) doesn't help. And if you are coming for a great getaway with relaxation, peace and quiet, etc. - this is NOT the hotel for you. I even BOUGHT earplugs, closed the window completely (which makes the room stuff),etc. - not good enough!!!! I cannot emphasize how bad of a problem this is. I will NEVER, EVER return to this hotel again until this problem is solved.
Jättebra hotell, god frukost och nära till backen
Visited pas de la Casa mainly for skiing. Good location near The slopes. Poor food quality, some individuals in the staff were unpleasant and a majority lacked basic english knowledge. No way of warming up wet skii clothes in our room. No social area in the rooms. Very loud walls, could hear neighbours talking 24/7. Expensive spa with below average quality. Would not recommend.
Bullet points:
Food: stayed at the same hotel 9 years ago. The food was great. Now its all the opposite. Horrible. Both breakfast and dinner.
Beverages: even though the distance between tables (Covid 19) is abandoned in Andorra - the hotel has still occupied the bar area/lounge with dining tables. That means that there is not an area to enjoy a drink before dinner or to relax after skiing. Not 100% correct as there is a "lounge" area in another place - without service. One wonder what its for!!
WiFi: did not work on 5th and 6th floor. However the last two days I managed to get a cable to use LAN. The IT guy was very helpful.
Noise: seems like Pas de la Casa has turned into being paradise for youngsters from France and UK. Although on the 6th floor the noise was unbearable and continued till 4 AM.
Service: mainly very helpful South-Americans - but leadership was for sure missing. When you ordered something from the grill (one kind of fish/one kind of meat) - it showed up when you had dessert.
Cleanness: very good
General knowledge about skiing renting, areas, etc: Very pure.
Attention to clients: we had an issue about cancelling a few days where Hotels.com was extremely cooperative but the hotel was the opposite - have to say though that when talking to management finally action was taken.
Overall - if you want to have a nice week in Andorra chose another hotel - at least till the get things right,
Location to ski lifts 👌
This hotel had everything we wanted and exceeded our expectations. We didn't have high expectations of the spa based on the pictures. Don't be fooled. For the 8 euro fee, the peace and quiet of just yourselves and potentially just 1 other couple in the hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas is perfect. Food was great, parking was easy, and the staff couldn't be any more helpful. The bed was comfy and you don't get much closer to the slopes, especially with the convenient skiers entrance at the rear of the hotel direct to your private locker. Can't wait to visit again
