Perfecto place to stay in Rethymo
Pros:

Close to the sea… and in the middle of all the walkable beautiful streets with shops and restaurants. Beautiful Italian Greek flavor of the place.

L’hôtel a un certain charme (même si désuet)

Personnel à été de bon conseil

Cons:

Les chambres sont dans leur jus, car défraîchies ce qui est dommageable car vu le charme de l’hôtel cela pourrait être agréable.
Draps, oreillers, couettes tachées
Clim fonctionnel mais qui a fuit
Notre chambre était situé près de la rue avec beaucoup de bruit
Piscine petite trompeuse par rapport aux photos et impossible de tourner les transats sans que cela nous soit reproché par le personnel.

Good breakfast with both fried and boiled eggs, and everything else that you can expect at a hotel breakfast. Very central location. Well functioning air con units, fridge and tv. Nice breakfast room and very nice nearby garden that must be beautiful during summer, I was there during winter. Nice, polite and helpful staff.

Cons:

During some late nights I heard shouting and screaming not far away, probably from the guests of the nearby nightclub. With closed windows it was better. No kettle in the room, but it was also very close to the next cafe and restaurant. Four steps down from the living room to the toilet, but I managed without falling. If I was hotel owner I would have replaced the big old bathtub with a shower cabinet.
