Good value and well located stay prior to cruise embarkation.
Pros:

Breakfast was delicious with nice variety. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. A taxi was arranged to the cruise terminal for us making transport easy.

Cons:

A shuttle to the cruise port would be nice given the number of guests all going there at the same time.

Cons:

I stayed in the new north wing which was very nice but the room did not have a temperature control. It was quite warm at night.

Pros:

Hôtel charmant et confortable. Situé vers le port de Reykjavik, donc tout près du front de mer.
Bien desservi (bus stop 17) et à 10 minutes à pied du centre ville.

Cons:

Peu d’installations de rangement dans la salle de bains.

Good place at a premium price.
Pros:

Everything was fine. The room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small and with little room for clothes, etc. The included breakfast was good but not great, as compared to other places I stayed in Iceland. Reykjavik is a small city and the hotel is near the harbor and a short walk from almost all the attractions in the city. I suppose I still have sticker-shock from the prices in Iceland and perhaps should not have expected so much, even at over $500/night.

Pros:

Very convenient hotel in the Grandi district, just a 5-minute walk from the art gallery area and the city centre.

The breakfast is quite generous.

The staff are extremely kind and helpful.

A nice bonus: coffee, fresh orange juice and croissants are available from as early as 4 a.m. for guests with early departures.

Cons:

Like many hotels of this type, it feels slightly impersonal and tends to attract tour groups.

Wouldn’t stay again
Pros:

Average hotel nothing really to like, very strange room layout

Cons:

Floor was not clean, staff confirmed they had booked us a taxi but had not in fact done so, even with the heaters turned off the room was still very warm, location not great.
