Convenient, clean, attractive room with microwave and Keurig-type coffee maker. Plenty of fluffy towels and very comfortable bed. Efficient heat/thermostat. Parking behind the building was included . We are locals (stayed after the ice storm while our house was without power) but the hotel is centrally located, just down West End/Broadway from downtown.
Shower curtain was put on the rod backward, with the label and waterproof part outside. Hotel isn't very sound-proofed so noisy neighbors could be a problem. No allowance for canceling part of the stay (once our power was restored).
It was clean and they quickly fixed the clogged sink when I informed them.
I felt like the size and shape of the room was deceptively communicated as I thought I was getting a bigger room. The room was tiny with virtually no privacy for part of the bathroom. It was very noisy too, as I could hear the neighbors like they were right next to me.
Place was good = stay was comfortable
The location the room was immaculate and overall a great experience
There were adults sex toys left from previous tenants
Ease of parking
No terrace as they advertise and no bedding available for fold out bed. Overpriced big time for what you get
Breakfast not offered. But coffee in the room was our favorite-Starbucks.
Location
Nice and neat
Location
I liked everything
Clean room, nice location for Vanderbilt. Staff texted often to check on things
Bed is a bit soft but nice room.
The bed was super comfortable- definitely the best hotel bed we have slept on in years! Nice bedding as well.
The bathtub was roomy & deep with a slanted back that made relaxing in the tub very comfortable for my wife. There was also a nice shower head. The location was pretty central to everything we wanted to visit. I was able to walk to WalGreens and Starbucks. There's also a deli within walking distance that we heard was very good.
The room as much smaller than expected- which to be honest may have been an oversight on my part since the square footage is usually including in the room listing.
Parking: there are 7 parking spaces behind the hotel. Otherwise you have to park on the street and there's not a lot of street parking. Thankfully, we were able to use the handicap spot behind the hotel most of the time bc my wife has MS & a long walk would not have been ideal. We only had to park down the street once.
The building was very attractive and felt safe. On walking into the apartment, it appeared to be quite nice as it was tastefully decorated and seemed to be a good bargain for the area in which it was located. It was tastefully decorated and felt very safe. If only I had looked deeper!!!
We arrived quite late the first night and went to bed right after a late dinner. The next morning, while making the bed, I noticed the bottom sheet had a huge (at least 2 foot wide), yellow/brown stain which was a little over halfway down from the head of the bed. This stain looked and smelled like URINE, which meant someone had urinated in the bed (it was a dry stain) and the sheets had not been changed after this previous guest left. The top sheet also had this same stain, in the very same spot, although it was not as big as the stain on the bottom sheet. That meant housekeeping made the bed while the bottom sheet was still wet. This has to be one of the very worst scenarios imaginable for a hotel guest.
I was, and still am, furious that the sheets would not be changed between guests and, to make it even worse, that I slept in someone else's urine overnight. When the room was being cleaned (which most likely was not done), housekeeping had to be aware they were making a bed which had wet, urine soaked sheets.
After calling the bud ļ
office and explaining the issue, I fully expected a call or email from the corporate office, but I never heard from anyone. An extremely polite man did immediately come and change the sheets, but in doing so, the comforter was not changed and they returned the same one that had been on the urine soaked bed!
As I stated above, this was the very worst scenario one could envision, when renting a hotel room. It honestly was more like a nightmare than a holiday. After that first night, we were not comfortable in the room and stayed out of the room as much as possible. We did still have to sleep there, however!

Additionally, there was mold on the shower curtain and the bathroom sink drained very slowly.
Everything was great! It was clean and looked just as advertised
The view wasn’t great outside but the inside made up for that!
Location, price
Pillows
We loved the location and price of the place. We also loved the modern decor.
The beds were HORRIBLE!!! The main bed was like sleeping in a hole and extremely uncomfortable. The sofa bed was the complete opposite and like sleeping on a wood wall. Also, when we got to our room at midnight, we discovered that there was no sheets on the pull out sofa and then we found a used sheet thrown in the corner. We had to share bedding between the two beds. We would stay here again if the mattresses could be better. A good night sleep is critical.
