The worst hotel ever. It Is a dirty, scruffy and indecent hotel. Receptionist Is rude. The room hard witnesses of precedent guests. Plastica flowers full of dust on the beds. Dead insects on the bathroom floor. Web stood Just the time to telephone to another hotel. Photos you can see on internet are a complete fake. Stay away from this horrible Place.
FUYEZ CET HOTEL !!!

Not clean
We stayed here a night because the hotel we originally booked was overbooked.
The reception showed us 3,4"vacant rooms" with food in them, stuff on the bed sometimes and white sheets with dark stains on them.
After the staff from the original hotel left us and we had already paid $40USD for this room because it was 10.30pm on our first night in Egypt, they came in again and told us there was a better room. Turns out the room we originally chose was occupied. We got another room instead.
Also the bathroom floors were very slippery.
Breakfast was okay. Ful and Egyptian bread and fried eggs. Location was quite close to lots of shops. No wifi in rooms. Very dimly lit hallway.
I have stayed in nicer hostels with bunk beds and shared bathrooms. I would never stay here again even if it was free.
Rekommenderar inte till någon.
2. Duschen har inget tack.
3. Ingen tvål Ingen schampo
4. Handduken med fläckar.
5. Smutsigt badrum
6. Stop i dusch brunnen.
7. Ingen ljudisoleringen maskiner till vatten o ac låter in i rummet. Även personal o dess musik hördes in till rummet.
The worst experience ever. Starting with the condition of the room, the hygiene standard, to the disgusting attitude from the staff there. The only person who had a friendly and hospitable attitude was the guy who helped with my bag and room service.
My stay at Velvet 1889 was the worst hotel stay of my life so far. The receptionist refused giving me bed covers and told me to turn the A/C on instead. It is February, and it's Cairo nights are incredibly chilly. When I contacted the customer service, they told me the same thing and the A/C would be more than enough! I felt completely humiliated and dehumanised. The bedsheets had body hairs stuck to them and the towel I was given was already wet. I had to cut my stay short and leave the hotel at 12 a.m. to go and look for somewhere else where I could even have the luxury of having blankets. When I came out of the room, I found that the receptionist was putting together bedsheets for me to use as make-do blankets. The experience was disappointing through and through. They did not even once apologize or show any vague understanding of human needs, such as having a warm place to sleep in in such a harsh winter!
