The Historic Central, a New Hotel Collection Property

The property was very clean, nicely decorated and had plenty of space in our room. The front desk clerk was lovely to talk to, we will definitely come back!

The whole experience was amazing. From staff to the room, we loved it all.

This hotel is in a good location, very clean, friendly helpful staff, updated everything, and they have so many helpful things in the room for you. There were pots, pans, plates, cups, a dishwasher, even a washer and dryer in the room we got. I absolutely loved the fact that there is a coffee and pastry shop right downstairs in the same building. It made my morning that much better.

Mary Elizabeth was the sweetest hostess! She explained everything very well and was personable. She also recommended many areas around to check out! 5 star greeting and a 5 star hotel!

We stayed for our anniversary and wanted something a little more unique. This hotel fit the bill. Mary Elizabeth was very welcoming at the front desk.

I was very disappointed with my recent stay. While the property itself is unique—a beautifully restored former bank with updated fixtures, a full kitchen, and a dining area for four—the accommodations were not as advertised.

The hotel description stated that the suite included **two queen beds, two twin beds, and a sofa bed**. Based on that description, I booked the room because it needed to comfortably accommodate my family, including a disabled senior and three other adults nearly six feet tall.

When we arrived, we discovered the room actually had **two queen beds and a very small daybed with a thin twin mattress that pulls out and sits directly on the floor**—not two standard twin beds as advertised. This was completely different from what was represented online.

I immediately contacted the front desk because I believed there had been a mistake with our reservation. Instead of offering a suitable solution, I was told management might be able to provide an air mattress. After paying a premium holiday rate, I found that suggestion unacceptable. I did not pay to have members of my family sleep on an air mattress or on a mattress placed on the floor.

I was then told that if I wanted to leave, they would consider refunding my stay. Unfortunately, this occurred during a holiday weekend, and there were virtually no comparable hotel rooms available. Waiting several days for a refund while trying to find another place for my family simply was not a realistic option, so we had no choice but to stay.

I requested a partial refund because the room was clearly misrepresented. After several conversations, I was informed at checkout on **July 5, 2026**, that management had approved a **$230 refund** for the inconvenience and misleading room description. I was told it would appear on my card within a few days.

Unfortunately, that refund has never been processed.

Since checking out, I have called multiple times requesting to speak with management. My calls have not been returned, and I have received neither the promised refund nor any follow-up. That level of customer service is simply unacceptable.

There were also a few unexpected checkout requirements that should be disclosed more clearly. Guests are expected to **start the dishwasher, remove their own trash, and take it to the dumpster before leaving.** While these tasks may not bother everyone, they were surprising considering the price of the stay.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, but I was aware of that before booking and had no issue with it.

My primary concern is the **misleading room description** and the failure to honor the promised resolution. If your family needs legitimate sleeping accommodations for adults, or if you're booking this suite because you believe it includes **two queen beds and two actual twin beds**, I would strongly encourage you to verify the room configuration before reserving—or consider staying elsewhere.

Accurate advertising and responsive customer service matter. Unfortunately, this hotel fell short on both.

It was huge, like staying in an apartment

Bed for couch sheets were covered in food no TV in bedrooms beds were hard not comfortable at all

The staff was very nice , it was very clean and beautiful

I loved everything above this place! It was perfect. They even called me to say I could get an early check in! This has never happened to me before.

Wonderful hidden gem in downtown Sevierville. Kathy was wonderful in answering any questions we had about the area. She was very welcoming as well we definitely recommend and return as well.
