I recommend the wonderful MGH Mitsui Garden Hotel to any Taipei visitors!
Pros:

The breakfast was superb. There was a wide selection of both western and Asian offerings. The food was beautifully prepared and excellent.
I enjoyed the Japanese Onsen on the top floor. A wonderful amenity.
The staff was welcoming and helpful.
Perfect location steps away from the Blue Line.

Cons:

Everything was perfect.

駅近でとてもきれいなホテル
Pros:

MRT駅より30秒で大変便利。館内とても清潔できれいですし、歩き回った後の大浴場もありがたかったです。日本語対応もばっちり。室内のティーバッグもおいしいものでした。

Cons:

駅が近くどこへ出るのも便利ですが、ホテル自体の周りには特に店などはなかったと思います。

Hotel is convenient it’s literally next to the mrt, staff was friendly and respectful but hotel cleaners didn’t do their

Cons:

When they ask to clean the room they didn’t change the sheet or wipe the sink counter top. When we came back the sheets weren’t changed just made the bed and when we check the counter top the stain from our tooth paste was still left on there.

Great hotel; great location
Pros:

Great breakfast with both American and Asian food. Love the close location to bus stops and Metro Station. 2 bus stops at front door; metro station probably 100 ft to the left out front door.

Cons:

The hotel does not have a regular pool. Instead, it has a Japanese style onsen separated by gender.

Good comfy hotel, will stay again
Pros:

Great staff, very comfortable room and bed. Great tea selection provided, breakfast is also nice.

Cons:

There was not a working desk and chair in room, so if you have to work this is not the hotel for you. Also the toilet seat goes up automatically whenever you enter the room as it is motor detected - bit annoying. The entrance of the hotel is also unsheltered, so under bad weather you will not be able to get on a car dry - this would be extra chaotic if you’re loading luggage.
