Not for everyone…but convenient location
Pros:

Good location in easy walking distance of CBD, restaurants and museums.
Basic kitchenette in room helpful.
Staff friendly.

Cons:

A bit of an oddball place - not as expected from the Booking.com listing.
Bedrooms were arranged around a rather shabby covered inner courtyard.
Rooms were clean but need modernising.

Scum of the earth
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

When we contacted them 2weeks prior to the booking to advise that I was to have emergency heart bypass, their first response was "how sad, can't cancel" and 5mins later, the full amount was taken from our credit card. They are scum, basically and the only place from our 2wk holiday in NZ, not to show compassion and help us.

Pros:

Foyer is lovely. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

We somehow ended up in a disability room which had a smaller bed and which was less spacious than the very good superior queen room we had in a previous visit.

Für +- 2 Nächte, absolut empfehlenswert
Pros:

Sehr sauber, gute Lage, freundlicher Empfang

Cons:

Das Zimmer war ziemlich klein. Der Raum erschient auf den Fotos größer als er in Wirklichkeit ist.

A good value fairly central hotel which I would happily re-visit
Pros:

Very good welcome from Silvia, who had also answered my pre-arrival questions in a very personal and infomraitve way.
We had 2 rooms. Oddly, the Queen Room was bigger and better equipped than the King Suite. The former was great; the latter, adequate but a bit disappointing.
Well equipped with toiletries, tea and coffee, towels.
Nice communal covered courtyard suitable for warmish weather.
c 20 minute walk , mainly along the river, to town centre and, in a different direction, to Cardboard Cathedral.

Cons:

King Suite less good than the Queen Room, which was odd.
I thought there was no communal sitting area, but did find a little area round a corner when we were checking out. maybe worth pointing this out.
No food possibilities onsite, but a good brunch and steakhouse about 15 minutes walk/ 3 minute drive away.

The Salisbury Hotel was our comfy and safe home away from home.
Pros:

The Courtyard is unique and filled with plants. There are lots of small tables and chairs in the courtyard. The hotel entry has a very good security gate. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful and reliable. The spacious hotel room was very comfortable and pleasantly furnished. Great bed! Well fitted out and large bathroom!

Cons:

We couldn’t figure out how to get the National broadcaster news or Al Jazeera news on the tv but perhaps that was our incompetence.
