Aksara Heritage

Aksara Heritage is a phenomenal boutique hotel in Chiang Mai. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and made us feel extremely safe and comfortable. Within an hour of arriving they had a massage and mani pedi booked for us and a tour arranged for next day. The grounds are well kept and the surrounding area is very walkable with tons of food and shopping options. Dao and Ming were both instrumental to our stay in Chiang Mai! Would definitely recommend.

Dao at the front desk was absolutely incredible! She made our stay perfect and went out of her way to create the most perfect, unique excursion for us!

This was my second time staying with Aksara Heritage, and it's as wonderful as I remembered last time. I came with my parents this time staying in a triple room. The room is nice and spacious, beds very comfortable, and the sound proof of the door is quite impressive. The staff is as nice and welcoming as they come. Breakfast is delicious with great coffee. I will definitely be coming back here in the future!

Excellent choice in old town. Cannot say enough about this hotel….the service, location, and convenience are all top notch. Food was excellent and pool is very nice. Staff are incredibly attentive and everything is super clean. Would highly recommend!

The experience provided by the hotel staff was amazing! They went above and beyond in every way. This was our last stop in Thailand for our honeymoon and what a way to end our trip. Our room was beautiful and clean, with a view of the pool. Breakfast/ restaurant was also amazing, with the staff yet again providing top service but personable and warm. You feel welcomed immediately, from the moment you check in to the moment you check out. My husband and I can't recommend this hotel enough. We were so sad to leave and hope to come back.

Where do I begin! The most friendliest helpful staff in the whole of Thailand nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are beautiful, absolutely spotlessly clean throughout the hotel. Fantastic breakfast and the food is amazing. Perfect location as well. Shout out to Puki who was an absolute angel. Thank you all for our stay you made our holiday perfect. We will be back.

This is an amazing boutique hotel in the old city. Highly recommended

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of our 3 weeks south east Asia trip. Hotel is located just inside the old city walls near the east gates so well positioned to visit major temples etc. but only about 20 mins walk to lively night market and other activities. Hotel is small but of high quality with fantastic staff. Has a lovely pool & garden courtyard area and restaurant & bar also all located together. Our room was small compared to large city hotels but well appointed & comfortable, with nice balcony overlooking the courtyard. As the pool quite small the beds can go quite quickly. Breakfast was varied enough but limited maybe for the western pallet though we managed fine. A short walk from hotel within the old city there are many bars & restaurant options, and many more outside in the wider city including in the Maya shopping centre. While there we visited many temples outside the city including in the mountains as well as visiting an ethical elephant sanctuary & the sticky water falls national park. Feeding and walking with the elephants was a real privilege - do your research to get some place you are happy with. We hired a personal driver for two days to take us to all these places which I would recommend if you don’t fancy tours or bikes. Getting around Chiang Mai is easy & fun by tuk tuk 🛺 and taxi’s are pretty cheap too. We had no issues with air quality and no signs of smoke or smog from the burning season. We would visit the city again and would stay again at this hotel.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. This hotel is stunning! The rooms are unique, clean and in great condition. The pool and common area is so peaceful and relaxing, and they also offer a great restaurant and breakfast. The service was the best I’ve ever had. They welcomed us with so much kindness and helped us with our bags and even provided a map and ideas of things to do in the area. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know and if I ever come back to Chiang Mai, I will definitely stay again.

A lovely hotel for our 5 day stay. The character of the building is fantastic, with a very large pool central to the outdoor area.
Rooms were spacious and spotless, and staff were very friendly.
The hotel is very well maintained and cared for. Meals are very good quality, and if you like Thai Green Curry, you will love it here.

We recently stayed at Aksara Heritage Hotel with our family and I highly recommend it. Returning to the hotel after a day of touring is like stepping out of the city straight into a calming and peaceful sanctuary. The rooms are very nice, quite spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. The pool is perfectly warm for an early morning dip or end of day swim. The breakfast buffet is just right, with specials and other breakfast items to order if you wish. We ate at the pool side restaurant twice and both times our cocktails and meals were beautiful and delicious. But most of all, the staff at Aksara are wonderful - always smiling, always happy to assist with whatever you might need. If you're planning a trip to Chiang Mai, book your stay here - the location is terrific, the accommodations wonderful, the beautiful grounds and pool are utterly serene - all enhanced by the gentle chants of the Monks from the Temple next door.

This a superb hotel centrally located in Chiang Mai old town, but quiet. If you are going to Chiang Mai I would highly receommedna trying here. It is a short <5 min walk to Phae gate. The rooms are excellent and food good. There is a swimming pool and small gym. We found the staff friendly and helpful. If I had one minor complaint is they didn’t manage the use of the loungers at the pool and we found on occasions impossible to get one as they were all taken. Other hotels had limited the time people could use them to give greater access to other hotel guests, but as I said a minor issue.
