A beautiful colonial-style hotel with traditional charm. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Note that speaking Spanish is helpful. The bed was super comfortable, ensuring a great night's rest. Highly recommend for a genuine, cozy experience!
Beyond grateful to the Boutique. They were incredibly friendly, happy to help and went beyond for us. The hotel is in a great location. It’s very clean and the garden is beautiful. A very peaceful stay. Thank you!

A wonderful, historic building in the best part of Valledupar. Excellent breakfast with offerings that we didn't encounter elsewhere in Colombia (like cayeye, yum!). We had a very early departure on our last day (4 a.m.!) and the sweet young man working that night insisted on packing us a breakfast to go, for which we were very grateful. It's a very quiet and tranquil place, and if you love vernacular and historic architecture, you'll appreciate it even more.
If you want a particular room, be sure to ask for it and document the communication. I specifically asked for a room in the historic part of the building because of my interest in and appreciation for the architecture. As we were driving to the hotel, I checked my reservation and saw that it showed the specific room I had booked. When we arrived and checked in, we were shown to one of the modern rooms. It's alright but I can get that kind of room anywhere—I chose this hotel for its history. When I opened my app to show the staffer who took us to the room, the reservation had changed to show a modern room. Before I could even say anything, the staffer said "I didn't change anything about the reservation!" I showed her the conversation that I had had about requesting a historic room, and she said they were all taken. I was upset, but resigned to it and she left. Shortly thereafter, she returned and said that they would make an exception and give us the room I originally booked. I definitely appreciated that, but it seemed like a bit of a bait and switch—not to mention that the hotel was definitely not fully booked as we were told.
I loved the hotel, breakfast and location. The staff was very accommodating. Would absolutely stay here again.
