My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in late March, ‘26. We wanted a comfortable and well-located place to stay in Baranquilla fo a couple of nights before boarding a river cruise on the Magdelena. The Faranda was a very good choice, and we recommend it.
The hotel is located in a quiet upscale neighborhood that seemed very safe.. W arrived by Uber/Taxi from the airport, which was fairly easy and inexpensive to arrrange. There isn’t much to see in the area afound the hotel other than some rther impressive old mansions, but there are several good restaurants nearby, including a highly-rated upscale Italian restaurant right next door, We didn’t eat there, but we had excellent meals at Palo de Mango and Manuel’s (try the Beet Carpaccio – yes, beeT), both a short Uber ride from the hotel.
Our room (903) was large, comfortable, and attractively decorated. There was a small desk, a rocking chair, and a comfortable king -sized bed. There was a small balcony but we could not get the door open so we only enjoyed the view from inside the room. The design of the room was interesting, with the open vanity on the other side of a large circular mirror from the bed. The shower and toilet were in a separate enclosed room. There were two handy night stands by the be with charging outlets, The bathroom amenities very very nice, but oddly there was no facial issue. Breakfast was served in a pleasant roof-top restaurant adjacent to the bar and pool area, It was buffet-style and very good.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, for example they helped us retrieve a cell phone we left in one of our Uber rides. Their English was limited but certainly better than our Spanish. We managed to communicate well enough.
We recommend the Faranda for a stay in Baranquilla and we’d definitely stay here again ourselves.

La poca comunicación cuando indiqué que tenía el primer vuelo de regreso a mi ciudad, siento que les falta organizarse un poco más en el turno de la mañana. Por esta razón, perdí mi vuelo de regreso.
Por mejorar, no es necesario que estén detrás del huésped para una firma de un voucher, esto en serio ocasiona más problemas de lo que ustedesc creen.
El olor de pasillo, hubo un evento a todo volumen la primera noche y no existe una infraestructura que permita aislar ese ruido.

Es extraño que en un hotel de esta categoría no se pueda ajustar el termostato, lo tienen bloqueado y es necesario llamar a recepción si uno quiere apagar el aire acondicionado.
La atención, el desayuno buffet, muy variado y delicioso, el ambiente muy agradable.
El baño es pequeño y un poco incómodo. El piso del baño luce un poco curtido.
Había un pequeño ruido en la habitación, como de un ducto de agua a presión.

The bathroom, the shower is open so the walls and doors had water damage. For a high-end hotel this really disappointed me. I'm ultra allergic and when I notice the mold stains it worried me.
