Really nice place, close to the only restaurants in the area. The owners were super nice. Highly recommended !

Maria was absolutely fantastic, could not recommend more. Gave us all of the local knowledge we needed to make our stay in the area amazing, and gave us beach towels, snorkels and an umbrella. Along with her phone number should we need to WhatsApp her and ask anything. The perfect amount of being so friendly yet giving us our space and privacy, asking if we needed anything whenever walking past us on our loungers for example. If you’re going to this area, stay here without a doubt!

Staff were very friendly. They provided us with local recommendations to beaches and site seeing. They were proactive in reaching out about arrival time. Convenient for travel to beaches along the coast and to markets. No elevator, so keep in mind for luggage purposes when staying here—ask for help. Check in and out was extremely easy. The view was amazing. Amenities beautiful and clean.

I could have stayed in this hotel for our entire trip! It is spotless, comfortable beds, gorgeous property, beautiful pool, and restaurant with the best staff and view. More than any of that is the friendliness and VIP treatment given to each guest. Maria is your girl, and she will give you a curated suggestion list for your stay. You won't want to miss her local tips! When I come back to Crete, I will definitely come back to the Glykeria Hotel!

Staying at this hotel near Elafonisi was the highlight of our vacation in Crete. The staff was incredible, especially Maria. She went out of her way every day to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. She made an itinerary for us for things to see and do. Her recommendations made our vacation truly enjoyable and memorable. The room was perfect with an incredible view of the ocean. The restaurant on the property is lovely. They have the best Moussaka I have had in Greece. Sunset views while dining for dinner were amazing. The pool is clean and a great space to relax.

Great location. Room was amazing. Sea view and balcony. Maria was wonderful. Had made a list of beaches for us to explore and made reservations for places we want to eat. Very gluten free friendly location. We stayed an extra day just because the hospitality.

A wonderful visit on Cretes Wild West coast to friendly, happy & helpful Maria & Nikos operating his family’s third generation hotel & restaurant on a quiet hill overlooking Stomio Bay. It’s just 10 min drive from the beautiful pink sand Elafonisi Beach plus other pretty beaches. Nice clean stay wished we’d had more time to visit!

This hotel design is like out of an architecture digest. Very modern interior with comfortable bed and amenities.

My visit was a short last minute booking.
I was made to feel very welcome and local information was given to me on arrival.
The restaurant was lovely for dinner and breakfast.
The restaurant also serves as Reception, so you will find your key there:)

Very clean family run small hotel. Restaurant across the street is very good, nice food and great views.

The view from the balcony and the restaurant of the rocky coastline and the Libyan Sea is literally breathtaking from the property. The rooms are spacious, designed with simple, angular lines fitting of the natural surroundings; and at the rooms are truly finely appointed with subtle and yet high quality materials and features. The design of the bathroom wall tile is a wonderful example giving the same appearance as the ripples of the beach sand found off the coast at Kedrodasos. The hotel and restaurant staff were warm and inviting, and attended to every detail, even little things like beach umbrella (that would stand up to the winds at Elafonisi) to providing proper wine glasses on our patio looking out at one of the most stunning sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. The restaurant serves excellent food. You don’t need to go anywhere else and it would be very difficult to beat for miles and miles around. The restaurant was pretty busy all day every day, and locals eat there too. The hotel has around 10-12 rooms, with a lovely pool area that shares the stunning view of the coastline and the sea. The staff communicate via cell phone app to provide all services when/where you need them. This is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle for a perfect 3 days (or more!) in beautiful, yet rugged Elafonisi area. We hope to return to this gem.
