Property Description

The Back Bay Inn offers 22 tastefully-appointed rooms and suites, many with bay views, where beautifully landscaped gardens and comfortable lounge furniture provide an ideal spot to slow down, relax and enjoy the cool bay breeze. Have a question? We are here to help! Each of our 22 individually decorated rooms at the Back Bay Inn has been specifically designed to ensure you comfort, privacy and a total relaxed "at home" feeling. All of our rooms have a king bed (some have an additional full or queen size sofa bed). The rooms in the Main Building look right onto the bay. Second floor rooms have either a balcony or fireplace. Ground floor rooms have private patios and a bay front entrance. We have six dog friendly rooms - Pelican Cottage, Sandpiper Cottage, and four in our Cypress building.

this was a beautiful quaint hotel on the bay.
Pros:

Beautiful location with in a small town with a few restaurants close by.
Pros:

Nice big room with great views on the 2nd floor. Felt more private than the first floor since there is a public path in front of the property.

Cons:

We also stayed a few nights in a room set back behind the restaurant. It was nice but it could use an air conditioner.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful property in one of the hidden gems on the California coast line.
Pros:

Magnificent views from the Blue Heron Loft on the second story. The staff was amazingly kind and very helpful. Very sweet to share homemade cookies at 3:00 pm for guests! It’s not a resort… but it’s really lovely if you want a peaceful getaway…without luxury amenities of big hotels.

Beautiful location, gorgeous setting with lush grounds and friendly front desk staff.

Cons:

Bathroom tub shower older shower is older and could use updating.. moisture concerns on ceiling above shower and bathroom drain knob needs attention

Excellent hotel, highly recommend!
Pros:

Sweet comfortable room, and very clean, with an excellent view of the bay. Loved watching the shorebirds! Great little coffeehouse next-door and walking distance to some fun restaurants. Exceeded our expectations and we’ll definitely come back here again. Also friendly staff with free fresh fruit, chocolates, and newspapers in the lobby. Yay!
