Dedalos Hotel

Frühstücksbuffet war in Wieserholung und wechsel zwischen Spiegel-, und im Ofen gebackenes Rührei leider wenig abwechslungsreich und nach ein paar Tagen keine Offenbarung mehr. Da könnte dringend was geändert werden. Parkplätze sind ein Problem, denn es gibt leider nur 3. Entweder man hat Glück, oder man muss gegenüber auf einem Parkplatz 10 Euro/Tag löhnen. 60 Euro für 7 Tage oder 3 Euro pro Stunde. Diesbezüglich wird, so wurde uns berichtet, leider nichts vom Hoteleigentümer unternommen.

Hotel itself was fine, however we were met with a really rude member of staff who is the man who does night shifts and chases people with a torch, upon arrival he was immediately rude as we came in as a large group at nighttime, and he asked me a question which when i answered he told me to “do my job” and continue writing on the paper he had given me to check in , within a day or two he became nice to us upon realising that we weren’t going to cause any chaos, but otherwise he should not have spoken to any of us this way , not the way we wanted to be greeted to our trip, he was the only issue we had but it was very off putting.

The hotel is very nice, we weren't given the room we booked but they did rectify it , our room was nice,clean and good outside area, pool was amazing sunbed area excellent exceptional clean, breakfast was ok the breakfast lady was so lovely, night security guy was brilliant, bar staff very nice and polite, a couple of older members of staff a lady with blonde hair and a older man weren't as friendly, room cleaners were lovely and friendly , drinks were ok, cocktails not so good, food was very nice especially the club sandwiches and curly fries. Overall I'd give it a 7/10 there is room for improvement. But we enjoyed our stay!

Do NOT go here. The staff are so rude and seem to favour boys over girls. We got beach towels and were told we had to pay but the boys didn’t because they were nice to him. He took a disliking to us as we complained multiple times and his only response was sorry it’s July, so continued to treat us like rubbish. As a group of five girls being separated and stuck on opposite ends of the hotel with the worst rooms ever. We were taken to a room round the back next to a storage cupboard. Our shower was a square on the floor, the aircon rubbish, cockroaches and centipedes, stains and not to mention towels or bed sheets never changed. The security guard was also rude questioning us every night even though we had the key and asked to see our room and passports. Not to mention half way through the holiday we all became so ill due to the lack of cleanliness in this place which ruined the last few days of our holiday. Do NOT go here it will ruin your holiday!

As soon as we checked in as a group of girls, the staff were rude and defiant when we said that the rooms were not like the pictures. Manager lied and said we would be close to eachother, but put us on separate ends of the hotel. His solution was to put the security guard outside our door ? We had to ask for soap- it was two small and thin bars of hand soap for three girls, to last 5 days. Our towels and sheets were only changed the day before we left and a cleaner came into the room, but only changed the bins the whole 5 days. When the cleaner only put 1 clean towel in my friends room instead of 2, the man said that they were lying and must of lost the clean one, before he finally gave my friend a clean towel. Since we rightfully complained the first day, the manager would visibly show his dislike for us. My friends room on the bottom floor had a gap under the door which they had to cover to avoid the cockroaches from coming in. Our aircons did not work, and we have all returned home very ill- I strongly feel it was due to the hygiene of the hotel.

Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I went on a girls holiday with my friends, the day we got there my friend and I got put in a room outside the hotel?? Which was so small, derelict and unsafe. When i questioned the reason for this, one of the staff said that the toilet was broken and another said the air on broke?? So which one was it? Upon asking for a partial refund, as it was so far from what we had booked, we got told to “sleep on the streets” as two 18 year old girls?? Not very welcoming if you ask me. They told us to come back the next day at 12pm, I asked to see the room we would be staying in, the man shouted at us saying we can’t see it and told us to leave (clearly had been double booked). We had to spend the night in the small room with no air con, when we had paid for the most expensive room there. And got no refund or compensation. Only rude, little insecure men screaming at us. Not only this, the breakfast was horrific. Stale bread, mouldy yogurt and soggy mushrooms. When we actually got the room we’d paid for, there was wet dripping from the ceiling and dampness everywhere. Furthermore, our towels didn’t get changed once?? In 5 days?? We had to literally go and ask for them to be changed multiple times. They don’t make any of the beds or clean the place at all. The pool was tiny compared to the images online, probably used x0.5 to make it look bigger, not enough sunbeds for guests and the outdoor toilets were horrific and never cleaned . If you want to maintain your sanity please don’t book this hotel. The reviews are true, it is literally hell on earth x

The staff were rude as soon as we had checked in. Towels get washed every 3 days and although a cleaner comes to the room, sheets don’t get changed either. Stains on all pillows and bed sheets when we arrived, hair in the shower drain before it was used by us and aircon barely works. Gap under the front door which we had to block with pillows as there were cockroaches and centipedes outside the door. We got told we’d be staying near our friends and as a group of girls that was appreciated but we soon found out they where on the other side of the hotel to us. Staff continued to be rude throughout our stay. We had spoken to a group of boys at the hotel and they’re rooms where up to standard but still nothing like the pictures, but had new aircon, kettle , microwave and a clean bathroom even tho they had booked 3 months after us. When we had told the manager we didn’t feel safe being so far away from our friends and complained about the room he said security will stand outside you’re room and that’s all he can do. Staff didn’t care about any complaints or well being of the people who where staying there.

Lads holiday from hell!Staff are rude as anything never seen such bad customer service.Towels wearnt cleaned in days rooms pong of smeg rats and insects running about daily.Only positive from the stay is the security guard at night what a fella.Pool stunk of urine and poo cause the little fat kids kept letting there bowels lose.Dont stay here if you want a good lads/girls holiday.Got 2 more days here and can’t wait to leave if the manager wants to have it out we’re in room 210 come for a little chat.Scumbag!

This is a family owned and run hotel. We have been going there for more than 20 years. The hotel is spotless and the staff are friendly and efficient. It is close to many amenities such as bars and clubs while also close to the older part of Malia where there are a number of restaurants serving local fare. Not too far to walk for those of a certain age, I have an 8 at the start of mine. We are going back in September for our second visit this year.

Management is awful. The MOST anti social, anti tourist horrible people Ive ever been unfortunate enough of meeting. Patronising and disrespectful, one example of many being them snapping and clapping their hands to get the attention of one of their customers who hadn't payed them enough attention at the precise second they wanted. The boss, after giving us the wrong room tried to kick us out of the hotel and said”if you don't like it you can leave” this is not how I want to be treated and don't believe anyone should.

This was a great hotel. Great location. Comfortable beds spotless clean rooms. The grounds and gardens were clean and tidy and the staff were very nice.
I must point out that when you get dropped off at the church at the top of the road you have to walk about 5-10 minutes down the road as the roads to tight for the big busses.

Very friendly staff. Value for money and a perfect location. Real Greec hospitality. Big ,clean and modern room. Also garden and pool are well maintained and clean. Staff is always willing to help when needed. Friendly family. Location in de middle of town.

Koula and popi are super friendly and so helpful.

A lovely place to stay with the lads, walls were thick enough so we couldn’t here robert getting piped 😂. Regardless, a nice place for a lads holiday but you might want to watch out for Ian. He’s an absolute specimen. The pool was lovely on hot days with the lads. Just watch out for Ian. Another review had issues with him as well so maybe it’s a theme.

Good location, walking distance to old town and beach. Swimming pool area well kept and excellent breakfast with pool view. Friendly staff, cosy hotel!

Excellent stay at Dedalos Hotel! Me and my mates stayed over here for a lads holiday, and we were very happy and impressed with the amazing customer service and hospitality we were provided with. Firstly, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, scenic and provides a relaxing, homely atmosphere and scenery. It was very calming to stay here, and all your stresses will be relieved. Honestly, this has got to be one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in, and it’s just very special and charismatic. When we first saw the hotel on Expedia, we fell in love with the scenery. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and there were loads of options. Wow, those Madeira cakes were out of this world! Everything is cooked fresh and it’s absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and the room service was provided adequately and everything was maintained to the highest standards. This honestly felt like a 4 star hotel, not a 3 star. The facilities are mesmerising and the hotel is in a very good location, literally a stone throw away from the Malia strip and very close to other local amenities such as supermarkets, restaurants, clothing shops etc. Overall, I would highly recommend Dedalos Hotel to you.

Very clean, particularly around the pool area. Very pleasant and well tended gardens. This gave the whole place a positive atmosphere.

Very friendly staff, particularly Kola, created a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere. With almost exclusively an adult clientele, no loud music, but pleasant chilled tunes, providing very relaxing days around the pool.

We really enjoyed our stay! Very clean and comfortable, pool is wonderful!
