Beautifully designed, central, and friendly hotel.
Pros:

Beautifully designed hotel in the center of Kaohsiung and close to lots of local attractions. The hotel staff were so kind and helpful. The rooms were quite spacious and full of helpful amenities/snacks. Would highly recommend staying at Joho!

Cons:

The gym was very small - basically only 3 machines. It was fine for us since we didn’t need to use it much, but if others are hoping to get a good workout in that might be tough!

Pros:

地理位置方便，房間乾淨、飯店人員都很親切。
早餐在入住時可以選擇主餐（三擇一），鱸魚很好吃。
餐廳在13:30-21:00都有輕食可以享用，18:00-19:00有Happy Hour可以飲酒。

Cons:

建議如果有停車需求的話，一開始在訂房時就備註。因為停車位有限，沒排到車位，需停附近露天的停車場，飯店雖會補助一晚250元，但停車場一天最高200元，從傍晚Check in開始停過夜的話，隔天領車停車費就400元了。

This is a good hotel, but with certain caveats
Pros:

The staff is VERY hospitable, and the hotel looks good and clean. The room is spacious, and I liked the view from the high floor. The amenities are great, the hotel provides with tea and coffee capsules, as well as cookies.
There is hot food for free during certain hours.
You can refill drinkable water for free (you cannot drink tap water in Taiwan), but refilling requires you to go to the second floor or the top floor (RF) and approach the purified water tap.
The cleaning service seems to constantly come and check if any rooms need to be cleaned. They respect Do Not Disturb mode.

Cons:

Well, my biggest issue was the noise. While the staff acknowledged my issue with noise and provided me a room on the 13th floor, it seemed out of their control at this point - because the building itself has VERY poor sound isolation. I could hear not only cars from the road, but also all surrounding rooms - from water to doors shutting, etc.
Additionally, the curtains don't fully block the light. A combination of noise and light create poor sleep which directly affects the visitors' perceived experience. If you sleep deep, this may not affect you as much.
Unfortunately, there were additional problems.
Very limited vegetarian food choices. The breakfast is not all you can eat buffet (to my understanding), it is a buffet where you take personal bowl of starter, main, etc. If you don't have meal included in your plan, then the main course is an extra charge. Cornflakes felt cheap (another hotel on my same holiday provided tastier brand).
Some of the facilities are out of service - toaster in breakfast, hot water dispenser in RF floor (top floor).
While the staff is super welcoming and visibly does their best (they are very fast and efficient), the English of some of them was not so great.
I hope that Joho doesn't see this as an insult, but rather as room for improvement.
Overall, it's a very good hotel, but suffers from certain issues, which if were not occurring - I could easily give it 8-9 rating.
