Spacious Central Cornish Townhouse

Solo traveller. Although clean and comfortable the room was a little box room, very small and housed what I think was the boiler as it was noisy all evening. Tea and coffee making facilities. Shared toilet and shower room. No where to park.

Excellent location and room. Very friendly service and great breakfast. Parking a few hundred yards away the only drawback

Stayed here recently for three nights to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Received a lovely warm welcome on arrival and every morning at breakfast. Breakfast was nice and hearty with lots of options.
My only criticism of this B&B is that the bathroom had a screen door which wasn't exactly romantic. The room however was lovely and clean with a lovely comfy bed.

Hyggligt hotell, trevlig personal, men Newquay var ingen höjdare. Påminner om Borgholm, på ett dåligt sätt. Mycket krimskrams-affärer. Dåligt utbud av bättre restauranter.

The room was clean tidy and well equipped. The hotel is within a few minutes walk to the centre of Newquay. I would definitely stay at the hotel again in the future.

Comfortable room, welcoming would stop again

Really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, homely feel. Absolutely immaculate with everything you need. Really good breakfast. The owners here really care. They were friendly and helpful with suggestions. I would stay here again.

Hotel nice and close to town without being completely in the hustle and bustle.
Breakfast was ok, sausages tasted that they were of a cheap standard but the fruit and other cereal bits left out were lovely.
Service was lovely and the owners make you feel at home

We stayed for two nights over the bank holiday weekend, because the rates seemed reasonable for a four star guest house. The owner is friendly and showed us our room, and there was a good selection at breakfast, which was freshly made. As it's on a main road, we were expecting to have to use ear plugs, but the windows seem well soundproofed (or the road wasn't as noisy as we expected). The only minor criticism would be the en suite bathroom; it was a corner of the room partitioned off, with a flimsy sliding door separating it from the bedroom... this doesn't offer much privacy (that said, the power shower was very good). Overall, we were happy with our stay and would stay again.

de eigenaars zijn vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen, het is een uitstekend low budget pension, als je een auto bij je hebt is het wel lastig om te parkeren, maar dat geldt eigenlijk voor heel Newquay wat ik toch een vrij drukke plaats vond.

Die Lage (Stadtviertel) ist etwas zweifelhaft und heruntergekommen, von außen wirkt das Hotel etwas schäbig. Auch der Eingangsbereich ist nicht gerade ansprechend. Das Zimmer war allerdings sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und recht komfortabel. Es stehe keine Parkplätze für Gäste zur Verfügung, man muss irgendwo in der Stadt an der Straße parken! Das Frühstück war sehr gut und reichhaltig.

Das Hotel wirkt insgesamt schuddelig, auch von außen. 2 Parkplätze sind im schwer zu erreichenden Hinterhof vorhanden, aber zu schmal und zu wenige. Unser Zimmer war für zwei Personen viel zu klein. Das Klo im Zimmer roch. Die Koffer waren nicht zu platzieren. Es war aber ruhig und das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Viel zu teuer für die Leistung. Die Bewertung von 4 Sternen ist nicht nachvollziehbar. Personal war freundlich. Die Häuser in der Straße wirken etwas heruntergekommen. Wir würden nicht nochmals dort übernachten.

Lovely welcoming host, excellent value for money, really all you'd need in a B&B, but sadly on a main road with no parking.

Sehr kleines Zimmer, Dusche alt und direkt im Raum, Toilette im Schrank!!, Tolles Frühstück, es gab keinen Parkplatz - wenn man Glück hatte, konnte man in der Nebenstraße parken. Unser Zimmer war im Erdgeschoss und der Blick ging in den Hinterhof mit direktem Blick auf den Frühstücksraum, sodass wir die Rollos den ganzen Tag zu hatten. Das Hotel liegt nicht unbedingt im besten Viertel von Newquay. Newquay ist an sich nicht die schönste Stadt in Südengland, aber trotzdem ein guter Ausgangspunkt um sich Cornwall anzuschauen. Generell würden wir sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis relativ schlecht ist!

We stayed here for 5 nights from 29/04/2013 and would definitely go back. Our room was spotless and breakfast was delicious. Perfect location - highly recommended!

Had an excellent stay, John and Aisla both wonderful hosts indeed.
Room clean and functional and the breakfast was amazing.
All in all a great place to stay and will certainly be staying there again!

the reception we got was very friendly ,hotel was spotlessly clean and breakfast really good .for newquay i would say very comfortable and ideally situated .very good value for money.
