ASQUEROSO!!!!
Pros:

Horrible.

Pros:

First of all, ALL of Lima is loud and dirty so expect some kind of a reflection of that fact in any budget hotel in Lima. It is part of the experience. That given and compared to EVERY other hotel I identified in Lima on Expedia or on foot Hotel Maxys Grau was the best value for the cost. Lima is EXPENSIVE too, unlike Colombia that I have more acclimated to. Everything cost more here than in Colombia or Mexico, so expect to pay more for the same luxuries.

The staff here is VERY friendly and helpful. The night manager speaks enough English to be helpful too. The inside of the hotel is safe and well managed. The wifi is very fast for hotel wifi and was very sufficient for me to work online many hours a day throughout my stay.

The rooms are very basic and are not furnished with a desk or table. However! When I explained my situation and that I needed to work the entire time I was there they promptly provided me an excellent work desk and chair. I don't know if they bought the desk that day or already had it, but it was BRAND new, still partially packaged with both keys to locking drawers.

Because I work remotely as a digital marketeer and business development consultant the desk and the fast wifi were the most important part of my stay there. I wish I could have taken the desk with me, it was so nice.

Folk in Lima have a LOVE AFFAIR with their horns EVERY time they get behind the wheel. It is the most important part of the car. So bring ear plugs.
