The Lynx Mountain Resort

It is a historic hotel, nested in the leafy hill, overlooking the city of Florina, which was renovated in 2019, to become a slick modern luxury hotel. Although a short drive (or a longer walk) from the charming city centre, it offers seclusion and serenity -one would expect from a mountain resort.
The room we booked for our family of three was spacious and elegant, with great comfortable beds and a homey sitting area, featuring an equally spacious terrace, with panoramic views of the city. Attention was given to every detail, from the lighting to each piece of furniture, to ensure the modern earthy design consistency, while the bathroom was enormous, featuring a double basin and a stunning walk-in shower.
The hotel’s lounge area was equally slick with comfortable sitting areas, both in the restaurant and bar. The breakfast was served there and was far beyond average, with ever-changing choices, and local flavours, taking the extra mile to surprise the patrons. The restaurant itself is a destination on its own merits, both for a relaxed snack, or a more sophisticated dinner.
The hotel also features a Spa, which we did not manage to visit this time, while the region’s casino is also housed in the premises (for those interested).
Overall, it was an enjoyable short summer break, we are eager to repeat -maybe at some other season.

Amazing resort, feels like a high end option in the mountains of Florina. The spa was fantastic and the masseuse there was excellent. Maybe the server at breakfast and some of the casino staff (guy in cage in particular) could have been a bit friendlier but otherwise would definitely stay again next visit to Florina and would recommend.

After having stayed at the Lynx Mountain Resort 9 months ago, we recently returned to this wonderful high-quality resort, which continued to exceed our expectations. The stunning panoramic views of Florina and the mountain ranges from our beautiful suite, the fantastic food and beverage experience, and the very courteous and friendly staff, all made for a highly relaxing and memorable stay. We are already planning our next return!

Majestic views, excellent service, great food! Classy aesthetics, wonderful rooms. Not to mention the jacuzzi experience, or rather the jacuzzi magic,overlooking the beautiful city of Florina and the forest!

Wonderful 5 star quality hotel with great panoramic views. The picturesque mountain view was a delight to wake up to each morning. The staff were always friendly and very helpful and informative. The food and selection of local wines were sensational. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lynx Mountain Resort and can’t wait to get back!

The Lynx resort is fabulous! The staff is wonderfully, friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the chef offered to make specialty items to accommodate our diet. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. And the view was amazing!

We will definitely recommend to all our family and friends. Our local family visited us at the resort and were equally impressed.

This was the most expensive hotel in our 18 day stay in Greece and the absolute worst room. Dingy. Dirty, old, smelly. Website lead us to believe we would at least have complimentary breakfast but we were told our IHG membership was not the correct level for this. Our plane arrived late and the restaurant/ bar was closed, but we got complimentary water from the mini bar in room. Sadly Disappointed

I am just speechless. A brand new hotel that has great views and really nice exterior and interior design. Excellent service with an outstanding restaurant and superb breakfast.

The staff was unfriendly and unaccommodating, which significantly impacted the overall experience. Moreover, the hotel lacked a kid-friendly atmosphere, making it less suitable for families. I would recommend exploring other options for a more welcoming stay.

Whilst planning our summer vacation, we stumbled across this hidden gem in which our expectations were truly exceeded.
From our initial dealings and greetings by Alexandrous at the front desk, we were extremely impressed with the service and the quality of the food provided. Cocktails were spot on, food was Greek with a flair of creativity.
Breakfast is a must with a large assortment of both hot and cold choices including a chef on standby whom is only happy to help with either an omelette or eggs done your way.
We were fortunate to see a local music trio whom were playing ballads whilst having dinner on a Friday night. The only minimal criticism was the assumption by the waiter that we were not able to sit on an outside table despite having booked earlier in the day. Needless to say, our table had been booked prior to which we hosted family that had only previously been there once. It was a pleasant evening and a must if playing during your stay.

Overall a 5/5 experience, with a very well thought out luxury hotel in Greece.

Try the spa (!), visit the casino, have a drink at the lobby by the fireplace, enjoy the restaurant's menu, have your coffee on the balcony with a great city view, get your best sleep, but above all, pass by the front desk to meet Yiota, she is by definition one of the best front desk professionals (and trust us we have traveled a lot).
Overall a great experience! We will definitely visit again!
