This hotel was not what I was expecting as an overall The street it’s located on is not maintained and when first arriving at hotel its entrance is not apparent or desirable-there is a metal locked gate over door. It app. I booked the EXPERIENCE SUITE for 4 nights and it was nothing more than a bigger room… no suite. No chair or sofa. No where for luggage…Nothing more than one small bench to place a little bag on and a few hangers but no where else to put clothes. There weren’t any towel hooks in the bathroom and the only plug for hairdryer was outside bathroom. The websites note the rooms are soundproof but they are not quiet at all. The hotel is astedically pleasing but the hall floors and steps are metal grates and we were woken up from the noise every night. Additionally the trash/recycle truck had stops at the street outside hotel every night. The street it’s located on is not maintained and when first arriving at hotel its entrance is not apparent or desirable-there is a metal locked gate over door. It appears to be a vacant building like the surrounding buildings. Once you get inside the staff is minimal. Usually just one person per shift -and the hotel does not have night staff so if you need something like a wake-up call or ice you cannot get these basics. The staff was not very knowledgeable about the city with no information available as to tours or excursions available from Sotheby’s. They had to google or make calls for everything and get back to us.

The people ALWAYS make the difference, and your staff: Margaret, Cosmos, Eva and Harry were superb. Views from rooftop were amazing!!! Decor and decoration of the entire hotel were top shelf.

This hotel was in a great location with easy access to the major attractions. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooftop sitting area was Amazing !

Fantastic welcome, great room and excellent breakfast

This is a unique, outsider the typical hotel setting. We enjoyed are stay there very much. The rooftop terrace and view are amazing. Would definitely stay there again.

We were easily able to walk to attractions, shopping and restaurants. Rooftop deck had a nice view of the Parthenon which we especially enjoyed lit up at night. Rooms are very small but were clean and modern with comfy beds and nice showers.

Property was very nice and staff was pleasant and friendly. Beautiful views from roof. Pool was a little cool. Area around hotel was a little run down.

Really eclectic boutique hotel. Staff was warm and personable. Rooms large and comfortable. Different type of hotel experience than most big European cities. Quiet and safe. Area was hard to find at first but very walkable to other sections of Athens that are are quiet nice and busy. Lots of restaurants near by and easily accessible to ruins.

Good, quiet location close to the lively shopping and dining district. Room was comfortable and quiet. Staff were attentive to needs.

Really cool one-night stay in a unique and interesting property. The building was super cool. The room was similarly unique and the rooftop common area gave outstanding views of Athens and the Acropolis. Very convenient to walk wherever we needed to go. The staff was friendly and very helpful. This was an outstanding stay and a super value. Would recccomend to anyone visiting Athens.

Location was excellent. Pool is indoors and small but definitely does the job! Staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good.

I can not fault this place, it’s classy yet understated and chic. Attention to detail is perfect. Staff are helpful and accommodating without being intrusive. Cleaners are marvellous. Breakfast is to die for and the pool is so welcome. Hip and trendy neighbourhood and close to the culture and history Athens has to offer in abundance . AMAZING!!!!

This gem of a hotel is in a wonderful location for sightseeing. Historic with an industrial feel (that's why we chose it) we opted for a rooftop terrace room which was extremely comfortable and spacious enough for our 5 night stay.
Reading previous reviews I knew there were no storage drawers (which would be beneficial) but we asked for additional hangers in advance to rectify this issue.
All the staff were welcoming, friendly & professional. The big portioned breakfasts were delicious and the option of dining on the rooftop for fabulous views, or inside under the vaulted ceiling on ground floor was perfect.
Only minor 'downside' for us was that the pool was absolutely freezing. I know European hotels do not heat their pools, but as it was inside it did not have the heat of the sun to warm it slightly, as a result I had to bail within 5 minutes, which I felt was a shame, but this personal preference would not stop me visiting again or recommending the Asomaton.
I would sum it up as a 'wonderful quirky hotel with first class service at a reasonable price' perfect for your Athens adventure!

A beautiful hotel combining modern amenities with historical charm. I felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic!

Eclectc hotel with an amazing view of Acropolis. Within walking distance to Acropolis. Plenty of choices for dinner close by. Breakfast included. Staff was very attentive.

The ladies in the front desk were very polite and service was great!

Our balcony had a direct view of the Parthenon!

Walls were paper thin which was challenging since my main reason for the stay was to sleep between travel destinations. Accommodated breakfast and an early check-in though which was nice since I left at 2 am.
