Sweet Shifen Stay
Pros:

I liked the staff very much... very friendly and kind people. They helped me practice my Mandarin. They also provided great recommendations of things to do in the area. Because I was not keen on littering the area by launching a sky lantern (included with the room), they offered little token lanterns as souvenir... cute and a nice gesture.
I also liked the view from my room.
They offer free shuttle ride from the old street... I recommend you take advantage of this by calling them in advance because the hotel is a good 15-minute walk from the train station, and not easy to find with luggage. Also, do not lookup their street address on Google Maps, it's misleading.

Cons:

They asked to pay cash for the room, which surprised me quite a bit, I managed to do a transfer from my Taiwanese bank. Not sure how everybody else would do carrying buckets of TWD like this in our day and age.
Also, while the room was spacious, it was a bit bare... it could have been better appointed with more furniture and decoration.
Again, watch out with their street address on Google Maps... it's not as close to the train station as it may appear.

老闆人很好，住宿還有贈送天燈，旁邊還可以觀賞螢火蟲。
東西不小心遺留在民宿，老闆立馬聯絡，得知不方便回去時還貼心幫忙郵寄，太感恩了～

Cons:

枕頭不夠支撐力，棉被有點厚重，有點小遺憾。

快樂民宿
Pros:

第一次遇到全是長輩服務的飯店，服務親切，親力親為，帶位到門口，有說有笑，放天燈，還能幫拍照，渡假村內有許多設施，泳池，空中腳踏車，滑軌，鞦韆，山訓設施，天梯，步道，烤肉區，螢火蟲，確實是親子同遊好去處

房間空間很大，而且民宿也有電梯，最讚的是風景，窗外可以俯瞰整個十分地區！

Cons:

如果想要用走的上下住宿點，斜坡有點陡下雨會有點危險，如果能有階梯就好了～建議還沒要入住可以先停民宿下入口旁的停車場（告知他們是住客就行），等逛完老街或瀑布再開上去入住！

Viel zu überteuert
Pros:

Der ältere Eigentümer war sehr nett und hat unsere Koffer aufs Zimmer gebracht. Er hat uns auf Anfrage mit dem Laternen in den Himmel steigen lassen geholfen und zum Bahnhof geführt weil der Weg zum Hotel sehr steil ist und wir uns mit unseren Koffern nicht hinunter quälen wollten.

Cons:

Dafür, dass es keinen Bettbezug gibt, ist das Hotel mit über 85€ pro Nacht viel zu überteuert. Wir waren in Taiwan in einigen Hotels und die waren günstiger mit besserem Standard.

Pros:

The staff was very kind and helpful. They even offered to drop me at train station.

Cons:

There is a high ramp, if you have luggage you should consider that. Except that the bed was not comfortable, it was too harsh. I laid extra blanket to sleep.

Cons:

停完車要走路去十分老街很方便，但回程的時候要爬坡健身累了點。
