Exceptional hotel and Staff! Benny is the man!
Pros:

We recently stayed at Koukoumi Hotel in Mykonos and genuinely couldn’t fault our experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. Our room with its private jacuzzi was beautiful, the pool area was perfect, and the spa and gym were both fantastic. The owner was also incredibly welcoming and hands-on, which gave the hotel a really personal feel.

The biggest mention, however, has to go to Benny on reception. He genuinely went above and beyond throughout our entire stay to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and his warmth, attentiveness and genuine care made our stay even more special.

My girlfriend has an almond allergy, and Benny and the wider team took it extremely seriously, making sure she was fully catered for and could enjoy the food without worrying.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast buffet was amazing, with a huge variety of both sweet and savoury options each morning, along with a complimentary hot or iced coffee. There was plenty of choice and the quality of the food throughout was excellent.

Every member of staff we met was exceptional, from the brilliant spa team and the waiters and waitresses who looked after us so well, to the owner who was always present, approachable and genuinely invested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay. Koukoumi is a beautiful hotel with incredible facilities, but it’s the people who truly make it special.

One tip for anyone planning to explore Mykonos: we travelled around the island quite a lot as a couple and would definitely recommend hiring a car or quad bike. Taxis/Ubers can become very expensive if you’re making regular trips, so having your own transport gives you much more freedom to explore.

We would return to Koukoumi without hesitation. A huge thank you to Benny and the entire Koukoumi team for making our stay so memorable!

A wonderful vegan holiday
Pros:

Our 5 day stay at Koukoumi hotel was exactly what we needed. Relaxation by the pool with a generous breakfast and a delicious 3 course evening meal on a half board basis.
Included in our holiday was transfer from the airport straight to the hotel, just a 20 minute drive (we booked a return transfer with reception at an extra cost of €40).
The room was large, spacious and clean with a comfortable bed.
We arrived late but were still in time to have our first 3 course dinner. AMAZING! Lots of choice and we tried to have something different each night. The food was really tasty, well seasoned with yummy sauces and an impressive amount of variation and even an amuse bouche each night which were delicious! I honestly think that even non-vegans would struggle to find fault. They also have an extensive drinks menu with lots of non alcoholic drinks too.
Breakfast is equally as good. Lots of choice of savoury and sweet with plenty to keep us full until evening.
The pool is great! A magnesium pool which helps with relaxation and sleep. Enough sun loungers, we never struggled to find a spot each day.
Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.
There's a gym, spa and yoga room although we have to admit we didn't use the services as we just wanted a relax by the pool kind of holiday.
When we went is was very windy. Nice during the day as it was hot but was cool in the evenings so do take a long sleeved top to keep the chill off.
Overall a fantastic trip and I would definitely recommend Koukoumi hotel to vegans and omnivores alike!

Incredible honeymoon
Pros:

We spent 5 nights in Koukoumi for our honeymoon and it was the best hotel experience we've ever had! Everything was amazing, from the food, the drinks, the spa treatments and the fabulous friendly staff! We had a room with Private Pool and it was amazing. The only thing I would suggest is to put some extra umbrellas at the end of the pool where the comfy seats are for some optional extra shade. The breakfast buffet was out of this world and the whole vibe was just so relaxing and lovely. They also have some lovely cats 😊We also went to other islands as part of our honeymoon and this was by far the best stay we had. We were so sad to leave and will definitely be back. Koukoumi is a dream, don't hesitate to book!!

Vegan heaven! Such a luxurious little gem.
Pros:

What an incredible gem of a hotel!

Before we arrived we were in communication with the hotel for various arrangements and they responded to every email promptly and efficiently.

We arrived to welcome drinks and very hospitable staff after a delayed and tiring journey. I was blown away by the rooms which were spacious, airy, clean and modern. The beddimg was extremely comfortable.

The food here blew me away. The breakfast buffet was varied each day and had so much choice! Savoury options like rice, chickpeas, tofu scramble, vegetables. Sweet options like cakes and pastries. Cereals, nuts, jams, spreads, chia pudding and overnight oats. Anything you could think of, they had it. Everything was absolutely delicious.

Lunch and dinner was absolutely delicious too. Very creative and high end. The Velvet Cloud dessert is a masterpiece!

Coffees were delicious, as was the homemade red berry tea which I couldn't get enough of!

The waitors and bar staff were helpful, and very efficient. You never had to wait long for a drink and they cleaned up after you very quickly. Lunch and dinner courses took a little while to be bought out but I figured this was due to the fact that all food was cooked to order and from scratch where possible (no pre prepped oven food). The quality of each dish which came out justified the time we had to wait (around 20 mins to half an hour in some cases).

The poolside was kept clean and well maintained with a variety of beds to use - padded flat mattresses to seated sun loungers. There was always choice of a space or two whilst we were there so it never got full and stayed that way all day.

The layout of the hotel was perfect! Small enough that you could get to your room within 20 seconds from the pool/restaurant. It was so clean and minimalist whilst maintaining greek decor. The views from the hotel were stunning at sunrise and sunset.

We attended with our 4 year old and they were great at accomodating her child friendly food options.

Location was great! 15 minute walk away from the local town centre of Ano Mera. Supermarket and bakery just 3 minutes away, and a 15 minute taxi ride from Old Town.

The whole experience felt high end, attentive, luxurious but calm and laid back. We loved every minute of our stay and definitely want to return.

Best experience, not only for vegans :)
Pros:

We celebrated our birthdays at Koukoumi‘s and it was perfect. Since one month there are new rooms and we got one of them and stayed as the third guests ever there. The breakfast was amazing and changed a bit daily. We also loved the attentive staff and how clean everything was! The Pool area is also very comfy. We recommend to book a treatment at the spa. I got a prenatal massage, which was very relaxing. Also the yoga sessions are great and perfect to start a day!! A personal highlight was the housecat :) I had this hotel a long time on my bucket list and it was so worth it to go to a whole vegan hotel - thank you for making our birthdays so special!! :)

Außergewöhnlich - besonders freundliches und herzliches Personal und hervorragendes Essen!
Pros:

5 stars honeymoon
Pros:

We decided to spend our honeymoon with Koukoumi and it was the best decision! Starting from the location, very welcoming and relaxing with a touch of luxury. The entire week has been regenerative, with the days spent by the pool on some of the nicest and comfiest sits/chairs I've ever experienced in vacation. The evenings were even more exciting because we knew we were about to try more dishes from the menu! Every dinner felt like a Michelin star experience, from the lovely and attentive staff (shout-out to Luca and team!!) to the spectacularly curated seasonal flavours in every dish. If you are visiting during SS26 I recommend the Sinless Memory and the Surf and Turf (the last one is addicting). A lovely selection of homemade soft-drinks and cocktails, with a good selection for the wine-list, local to what the area has to offer. The breakfast was also very impressive, a whole buffet completely vegan! Both sweet and savour selection tends to slightly change every morning ( I guess that's a way for the kitchen to minimalise waste, which is admirable and can get very creative at times!)

We also had the change to talk with the owner (she's very friendly and always roaming around most days) and you can tell that the entire koukoumi project was very curated and designed to stand-out from the rest of the island. Mykonos is known for big parties and roasted meat, koukoumi is the exception with a relaxing atmosphere and services, wrapped in a eco-friendly and deliciously vegan entity.

The placement of the hotel is a bit tricky (but that's just the layout of the isaldn) if you don't feel confident in driving (like myself) but with a bit of planning you can reach the old town for the more touristy bits, by bus from Ano Mera.

Again, a huge thank you for the entire staff for making our honeymoon so special and memorable, we can't wait to be back!

Amazing food, lovely hotel, just a few things to improve
Pros:

We were met at the airport (transfer included in the price) and 20 minutes later had a warm welcome at the hotel. Special mention to Dimitri for being super friendly and knowledgeable about where to go when we hired the car.

Location is good - near a small supermarket and bakery (which did excellent vegan mushroom or leek pie for 3 Euros). It is 1.5 miles to the nearest beach which is sandy and has two beach restaurants on it - the open one was very expensive but ok for a refreshing beer.
We hired a car via the hotel for 50 Euros per day and spent one day at Mykonos Town which we loved and one day visiting the rest of the island.

Breakfast was amazing. Lots of hot and cold, sweet and savoury delights. Great coffee (although we had to keep reminding them to make the cappuccino HOT) and fresh orange juice. Service was always good if Francesca was there (otherwise not so good).

Dinner was also excellent- we tried everything off the menu and the flavours are divine. Again service was good if Luka was there…if he was not there, then not so good. We had the wrong food delivered three times (in 5 nights) and once got our main course before the starter. The staff (other than Luka) seemed uncertain which table was which and what the dishes looked like. Once we waited over 30 minutes for dessert. Hopefully this will improve in time as the staff were all friendly and no doubt will improve.

There was also the issue that whilst delicious, the portions are small. This is ok except there was no option for a side dish of bread or vegetables for example. The seitan steak for example was lovely and came with a slice of potato but that was it. Also whilst the lovely minty water was available on the first night from the jug, after that we were not allowed as it was deemed too “unsightly” to pour free water from a nice jug, but ok to pay for bottled water! Just seemed a little penny pinching.

Our room was great. Good size, nice shower and separate toilet. Cleaned every day to a high standard. The fridge was not cold however, so we asked how to turn it up and were told it is a set temperature- which was room temperature! So the maintenance man gave us another, which was the same. I am sure he would have changed it again but perhaps they are all the same.

We had a lovely private veranda with a hot tub which we used each day and a hammock. Bed was super comfy too.

So overall very good just need some training in the restaurant to get the service to match the quality of food. But again special thanks to Dimitri, Luka and Francesca who really stood out to us.
