Pros:

Stanza moderna, nuova, posizione vista mare. Colazione in camera molto buona

Cons:

Piscina nel balconcino non riscaldata e quindi inutilizzabile. Piscina interna "riscaldata" ma fredda, ambiente freddo, non si è potuto utilizzare neanche quella.

Pros:

Le point de vue sur la baie, la literie, la douche, la terrasse et la luminosité de la pièce.

Cons:

La piscine de l'hôtel soit disant chauffée mais que ne l'était pas, le petit déjeuner qui ne varie pas, le directeur de l'hôtel qui renvoi son personnel devant la clientèle (une charmante jeune femme très à l'écoute...dommage), le dîner vraiment pas terrible et cher.

Bereits bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von den Mitarbeiterinnen der Rezeption sehr freundlich und familiär empfangen. Es wurde alles, von der Hotelumgebung, dem hauseigenen Restaurant und Spabereich, bis hin zum Hotelzimmer ausführlichst erklärt. Das Hotel selbst, sowie das Zimmer sind sehr modern und gepflegt, auf Sauberkeit wird hier sehr viel Wert gelegt. Der Privatpool auf dem Balkon wurde täglich gereingt. Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels waren alle sehr freundlich und stets bemüht jeden Wunsch der Gäste zu voller Zufriedenheit zu erfüllen. Beispielsweise gab es bei uns an einem Abend ein technisches Problem mit dem Bedienfeld im Zimmer ( zur Einstellung von Licht etc), noch am selben Abend kam der Besitzer des Hotels persönlich zu uns um das Problem zu beheben. Auch die Mitarbeiter im Spabereich waren sehr professionell, die von uns gebuchte Massage war zu unserer vollen Zufriedenheit. Das Restaurant bietet eine kleine, aber dafür sehr gute Auswahl an Speisen, man wird hier von allen Seiten verwöhnt und die Mitarbeiter geben ihr Bestes dass sich die Gäste auf allen Ebenen zufrieden und wohl fühlen. Auch der Manager des Hotels war abends immer vor Ort und hat sich persönlich nach unserer Zufriedenheit erkundigt.
Wir waren rundum entzückt von unserem Aufenthalt und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

Nice hotel with lovely waiting staff, but threatening management
Pros:

The female staff members at Lagon were so kind, helpful, thoughtful, funny and great. Georgia, you are incredible and I would hate to cause any upset through this review but please know - you made our stay!
The very small boutique hotel itself is modern, clean and nice to look at!

Cons:

(Please look at reviews from other sites for other actual, honest, negative reviews of this hotel) I have never written a negative review before in my life so this is exceptional circumstances for an exceptionally negative final experience. Just for future bookers knowledge:

1) We booked the 'Double Room with Garden View and Private Pool' and while the photos do show the physical layout of the room, they don't convey that the room is directly adjacent to reception, steps from the entrance of the hotel. The outdoor area and pool are enclosed by opaque glass and gates which allow people walking by to easily see into the "private" space. As a result, we didn't feel comfortable using the "pool" at all. Additionally, due to the room’s proximity to reception, we could clearly hear voices and activity from the lobby inside the room, which further affected comfort and privacy.

2) We were also disappointed with some of the food and drink. The “English breakfast” for example and some of the ingredients used did not meet what we would typically expect from a five‑star boutique hotel (e.g. orange plastic triangles of cheese), and there were occasional limitations in availability, such as condiments (no ketchup) and alcoholic drink choices (limited beer).

MAIN ISSUE - MANAGEMENT

After and during our stay, we raised these concerns privately with hotel management in a calm manner and requested a partial refund. We were extremely upset and shocked to look at our email and see that we had received coercive and intimidatory threats of CRIMINAL AND LEGAL ACTION against us as blackmail to deter us from writing a public negative review (we had said that sadly, if the hotel were not able to compensate us in some way then we would likely have to write an honest review to explain our concerns).
