The valet and ALL staff was amazing. This definitely will be our new favorite place to stay when we are in Nashville. The on-site amenities were fantastic, you almost dont even need to leave the hotel to have an enjoyable experience.
I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The gentlemen working valet were outstanding—professional, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout my visit. They managed my needs seamlessly while also handling several demanding guests with grace and efficiency. Their level of customer service was truly impressive, and each of them has a bright future in hospitality. I hope hotel management reads this and gives each of them a generous pay increase.
The room was meticulously clean and exceptionally well maintained, which made my stay even more comfortable.
One unexpected highlight was the water. As someone who frequently visits Nashville, I've often had issues with the local water. Whatever treatment is used typically irritates my skin and can even make me feel unwell, to the point that I usually use bottled water just to brush my teeth. To my surprise, the water at this hotel was wonderful. I experienced none of the usual issues and was able to use it without any discomfort. It may seem like a small detail, but it made a significant difference in the quality of my stay.
This was my first time at this hotel, and I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nashville, TN.
We love the Joseph! Everyone is so friendly! Davionta always went above and beyond and always greeted us with a smile each time we came in or out. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I came to Nashville from New Orleans to celebrate my birthday without our children. We stayed in the Joseph for numerous reasons. Location being one. It is walking distance to most things Nashville has to offer. The Joseph is a beautiful luxury hotel with exceptional customer service. You really get what you pay for here. From the check in desk to restaurant staff (Faith/ALL of them were so kind) to house keeping to the valets (Davionta), everyone was extremely helpful and kind. Personal and professional to all guests not just the elite. The amenities were excellent. We worked out in the gym every morning with nice views of Nashville. The roof top pool and bar are fantastic. Drinks and food in all areas of the hotel are wonderful. The rooms are spacious with tasteful modern decor. The beds are super comfortable. The house keeping staff keeps the hotel feeling fresh and new. It feels very clean. Even the outdoor pool bathroom was pristine. With it being a luxury boutique hotel, there were not very many children and if they were there I could not tell. It was not noisy. Perfect birthday getaway.
We had a lovely stay. Very clean and modern . Beds were very comfortable and the room was very spacious for my family. From the moment we arrived to the last moment we were there, the first and last person to great us and wish us farewell was Davionta. I truly feel the reason we enjoyed our stay for the start is because he created us with a smile, was very serviceable and kind. Such an exemplary employee and asset to The Joseph.
Fantastic stay with my mom. Hotel was clean and great service! Extra fun that the valet guy, Sven, was from Sweden and talked to my Swedish mom a bit. Such a fun surprise and they were all so super kind and welcoming.
Valet was great!!! Drew and Parker are master packers!
Many thanks
Davionta was incredibly helpful. He helped me get my bags in the car and was super nice while I was waiting. Thanks for your help. Can’t wait to come back!
I wasn't going to go to the trouble to write the hotel with our unacceptable experience, but after our stay, I received an email questionnaire from The Joseph. This was my reply below - It's been a month and I haven't heard form them, which tells me that our experience was not out of the ordinary for the property... With no acknowledgment at all from the hotel, ( Why Send a Survey at all?) I feel compelled to share my with Trip Advisor, as I use this site to "vet" all my travel plans..
• Saturday May 2nd, we arrived early afternoon and were told our room would not be ready until 5:30. We booked through our AMEX platinum, expecting an early check in or at least a timely check in.
• Upon entry to our room, we found the floor around the toilet to have what looked like it could have been dried food or caked vomit chunks in the WC and more in front of the sink area.
• when we attempted to contact the front desk on the room's phone, there was no answer. We had to call from our cell phone and after 20+ rings, we got the phone tree and pressed 0 to finally get someone we could inform about the floor. there was also a hoop earring on the floor in front of the couch.
• Sunday Morning, we were awoken at 8AM by the doorbell which I got up, dressed and in frustration answered to find no one there.
• That afternoon, as we were taking a nap, we were awakened by the doorbell. Again, dressing to answer only to find - no one there.
• We tried to call the front desk to inform them about the doorbell. no answer after 2 minutes of ringing (I decided to time it after our previous frustration with the phone going unanswered).
• I decided to try the doorbell myself to see what was going on, there happened to be a room attendant servicing the room next door. After explaining the frustration, they said they would send a maintenance person to take a look.
• When the person came, I explained again that the doorbell was going off at seemingly random times. he worked on it for a few minutes but his English was insufficient and he had to use his cell phone to google-translate his reply. the translation said there was a loose wire and it was fixed (despite the cover being left about a quarter of an inch from the wall when he left).
• Monday morning - My wife's birthday, we set our alarm for 10am (we're on California time and looked forward to sleeping in for the first time on our trip). We were AGAIN awoken by the doorbell at 8:30AM. This was in my opinion the last straw in my frustration with the terrible price to service ratio of the Joseph Hotel. Unwilling to spend another couple minutes listening to a phone ring, I went to the lobby and demanded that the hotel disable the doorbell altogether and fix it after we checked out the next day.
• Tuesday May 5th, we again set our alarm for 10 AM hoping to get to sleep in ONE of the three mornings of our stay. Apparently your housekeeping staff had other plans as they knocked on our door at 9AM - ON THE MORNING OF OUR CHECKOUT DAY. seeing the housekeeping staff member through the peep hole I asked with great frustration, "What do you want?" She replied with "do you want your room made?", which I angrily declined from my side of the door.
What hotel asks if a guest wants their room made up at 9 in the morning on the day of our checkout?
I hope this answers the question of why I am not at all likely to recommend "The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville" (as your survey calls the property).
Your front of house staff was polite, responsive and apologetic when these issues were brought up and, as much as we appreciate the $50 property credit for the unreasonable check in time, I would have gladly paid you this amount for the opportunity to sleep in on at least ONE morning of my wife's birthday weekend. I do not appreciate being put in the position of feeling like a "high maintenance" guest. Had I not received this inquiry I would not have taken the time out of my day to write an email expressing our disappointment with the decision to stay at the Joseph, as re telling this has only served to remind me of just how frustrating it was to walk into a bathroom floor that resembled remnant vomit or food (but who eats in the bathroom?) chunks that were not fully scrubbed from the floor during the turnover process as well as being awakened on 4 occasions during our three night stay.
Location was great, staff was great and friendly
Our first room , carpet was wet and moist throughout. Gave us another room , lost the view , shower had black hair in corner, counter in bath room had white substance in corners and very dusty … and one of the queen bed sheets had holes in it .
Drew and Davionta both were extremely helpfully when we arrived and also as we packed up our vehicle to leave.
Joseph and the valet team took great care of me. Service was prompt and professional.
Nice hotel but the staff is what makes the place worthwhile to keep coming back! They take care of you in any way imaginable. Valet guys are awesome, especially Drew and Davionla.
Drew and Davionta were excellent valets. The service was exceptional!
