Super nice rooms (amazing marble bathroom!). Wonderful staff at front desk. Easy check in even with a group! And the breakfast was fantastic. Tatiana at the front of the restaurant was very warm and helpful. Even helped get a late check out! Great experience!!
Great, newish hotel located in a prime location. Beautiful rooms, terrific service and excellent rooftop restaurant with a view of the Parthenon. Highly recommend!
Do yourself a favor and book a room at Athens Capital hotel on your next visit to Athens!!!We had a great time and certainly we will be back.
Athens Capital M Gallery rooftop dining. Our server, Eftichia brought a patio heater closer to us on the cool, windy rooftop and wrapped us in blankets. The food and drink were exquisite! Top notch! The best! We made great memories.
in the center of everthing.
When I arrived at the hotel around 3PM, room was not ready. Even I reserved 6 nights, they arranged a dark room without sunshine. I asked to change the room with views. I was told to pay extra charge to change the room. I satisfied hotel facilities, cleanness and location. But staffs of front desk were terrible and rude. I felt bad in starting my travel.
The best thing about this hotel is the location- right in the middle of the Athens action, close to a number of museums, excellent shopping, and plenty of restaurants.
The hotel itself is attractively designed- I particularly enjoyed the quotes from famous women on each floor. My room was comfortable, with a comfortable bed, a retractable blind that kept out the light and noise of the city, and a good shower. Toiletries were Olivia Thinks- I'd not heard of them before, but the scent was divine.
The rooftop terrace is especially attractive, with views of the Acropolis over the small infinity pool.
Dinner in the downstairs Café was good, although on the expensive side- though that is to be expected in a capital city hotel.
The staff were mostly lovely: porters were on hand to take our luggage from the taxi to storage (rooms aren't available until 3pm unless you're part of the loyalty programme, which feels rather corporate for what is otherwise a stylish hotel), then later up to our rooms, and back down again when we left. Reception staff were consistently helpful.
At dinner my Mother accidentally broke glass over her food and her meal was replaced instantly, this was handled with friendly professional ease. Breakfast, however, was less impressive - we waited thirty minutes and asked three times for English Breakfast tea, which wasn't great when it finally arrived.
Overall, a stylish and comfortable hotel in an unbeatable location, with a few service inconsistencies that stop it being perfect.
The property is centrally located with shopping and dining in every direction. Within a 20min walk to the museums and felt safe. The hotel staff was very professional and accommodating. Only downside was that the room was a little small and the shower was a bad design.
The Athens Capital Hotel is in an excellent location and offers three restaurants, which is a plus. The rooms are honestly a bit on the small side, though the breakfast is decent. The rooftop has a nice view, but the prices at the terrace restaurant don’t really match the quality of the food or the service. Overall, it’s a good hotel for a short stay (we only stayed two nights), but it’s not truly five-star and not worth paying a very high nightly rate for a longer visit.
Staff was very accommodating. Location was within walking distance of several tourist attractions. Onsite restaurant service was awesome and food was delicious. I would definitely recommend to others.
This is a nice hotel right next to Syntagma Square. It’s about 15-20mins to walk to several main attractions, or there’s a metro stop across the street.
We enjoyed our room - the bed was extremely comfortable and there was pretty good sound insulation. Unfortunately there was a very odd buzzing noise coming from the plugs by the bed (think old internet dial up noises). I was too lazy to change rooms, so I used my earplugs to sleep.
Staff was nice and the concierge was very helpful with a few last minute items. However, there were certainly service lapses. Cleaners did not restock our coffee pods/milk all days we were at the hotel. Each day we would ask the front desk to rectify, but sometimes it would take a few tries to get both items delivered. The last day our towels weren’t restocked. This seemed to be a wider problem as I heard two people complaining about it at the front desk when we checked in.
Breakfast was generally good, except when there are large tour groups staying at the hotel (and there often is - they set up welcome desks in the lobby). The first morning, breakfast was a zoo. Nobody came to take our coffee or juice orders. Wait staff kept running by us and smiling, but we couldn’t flag them down for a while. It was chaotic. The other two mornings were much improved and service better (we could actually get coffee).
One random thing we appreciated - shoe cleaning machines on every floor. Great for getting the dust off your shoes after a long day exploring the ancient sites.
Great staff, location, many restaurants and places to shop.
The concierge and reception were so helpful. The rooms lovely and spacious. We were easy walking distance to everything we needed . Only a few mins walk to acropolis and shops and restaurants . The rooftop pool with cool water and loungers with views of the acropolis made our stay wonderful
Ate on lovely rooftop seating. Christos was our excellent waiter. Wonderful view of Acropolis from our table. Food was very good, too.
Excellent
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Clean, super friendly staff, and great location. The rooftop pool and views were amazing. The only negative was breakfast, not quite my thing having egg soup (runny scrambled eggs) and no strawberry jam (strange?) , but we survived.
The hotel is located in a very convenient location close to everything but tucked enough away that it is quiet and feels safe. The staff and service is unbelievably wonderful and very friendly. We definitely would return. A 10 out of 10!
The hotel is truly outstanding! The rooftop is amazing with breathtaking views, the rooms are modern and very comfortable, breakfast is delicious with a great variety, and the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. Everything was perfect from start to finish -definitely a 5-star experience!
Our family had a great stay at the Capital Center Hotel - MGallery. Very conveniently located, the room was nice, and the staff were all very helpful - especially Efi at the bar who was extremely welcoming, went above and beyond to give great recommendations of places to go and things to try, and even helped me learn a few Greek words! Efharisto!
We've stayed in many different hotels in Athens and no other hotel has the level of service as Athens Capital. In addition to the amazing rooftop and location of the hotel, sleep is the most important for us and the rooms are actually soundproof and the beds are so comfortable. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be coming back.
