Pros:

Newel Acropolis was great, the staff were very friendly. We landed in early and they prioritised getting our room ready in advance of the usual check in time, as well as let us use the breakfast facilities in the meantime. The room was a good size with spacious facilities, no more than 30 minutes walk through Athens to get to most key sight seeing locations as well.

Great location, excellent room and wonderful staff.
Pros:

This was my second stay at the Newel Acropolis, this time with my daughter for a long weekend sightseeing in beautiful Athens. It’s a fantastic base, as the hotel is only a five minute walk from the Acropolis and from there the rest of the city centre. There are a few main roads to cross to get to the hotel, so don’t rush, and please wait for the green man! A small Spar supermarket is a minute away (handy), and there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and gelato shops if you can’t be bothered heading into town. Syntagma is a 15 minute walk (where you can get the Metro to the airport), and The Acropolis station is 5 minutes away. You’re also a stone’s throw from the main park.

I booked a Superior Suite this time, which was very spacious, modern and well-appointed. A huge walk-in shower and separate toilet were at one end, with a kitchenette (fridge, hob, sink, kettle and coffee machine) by the entrance. A sink / mirror and large storage unit divides off the sleeping area. There is a double sofa bed / sofa as well as a large king(?) size bed, big wardrobe with drawers and safe, desk, chairs, AC, TV and fast, free wifi. The rooms and the hotel itself are very secure, using a digital keypad lock, which is also really convenient.

Breakfasts are served downstairs until 10am, and feature a good range of freshly cooked pastries, flans and savoury tarts, with sweet treats, fresh fruit, eggs, salads, cheese & meats, yoghurt, cereals and breads. It’s all very fresh and tasty, and the coffee and juice are excellent.

In the basement is a small but perfectly formed jacuzzi, sauna, massage room and gym - lovely after a long hot day pounding the streets.

The best thing though is the warm and friendly service from the staff, who were phenomenal.

Cons:

The only small downside was some traffic noise (despite double and secondary glazing), so if you are a light sleeper, take earplugs (though these are provided) if your room faces the road. That said, you’re in the middle of a bustling city, so some noise is inevitable - it didn’t detract at all from our stay.

Great value for money at a great location
Pros:

We had a great stay at this boutique hotel in Athens and couldn’t find anything to fault. The location is excellent, making it very convenient to explore the city.

The staff were wonderful—friendly, professional and always helpful. The breakfast spread was also very good with plenty of options to start the day.

Overall, it offers great value for money and we would definitely recommend it.

Nothing really. Everything was good.

Ideális pár napos, városfelfedező nyaraláshoz.
Pros:

A személyzet nagyon kedves, segítőkészek. A hotel ideális, ha gyalog vagy tömegközlekedve szeretnéd Athént felfedezni.

Cons:

Mivel belvárosi szálloda, egy forgalmas kereszteződés mellett, azért a szobába a zaj behallatszik. A reggeli bőséges volt, de minden nap ugyanaz a kínálat.

L'emplacement est parfait, le personnel très sympathique, la chambre est bien équipée et confortable et le petit déjeuner grec est succulent !

Cons:

Si on dort la fenêtre ouverte, c'est assez bruyant, car il y a une grosse route à côté de l'hôtel.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Whirlpool, das war spitze!
Pros:

Frühstück war sehr gut. Alles mit Liebe zubereitet und immer sofort nachgefüllt. Einige leckere typisch griechische Kostproben gab es auch.
