I had a genuinely wonderful stay here and was very happy with my experience overall. While this isn’t a luxury property, it absolutely excels at what it offers — a clean, comfortable, and very welcoming place to stay.
The rooms were consistently spotless, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and easy from the moment I arrived. What really made the stay stand out, though, was the warmth of the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring.
A real highlight (and honestly a surprise) was the food. The kitchen is run by the owner’s Thai family, and the authenticity really comes through. The dishes were fresh, full of flavor, and some of the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time — completely unexpected in this setting.
The location is also very convenient, especially if you need to be close to the airport, which made everything even smoother.
All in all, it’s a place with real heart, great people, and exceptional food. I would absolutely return — 10/10.

We really loved this property. Staff extremely welcoming, friendly and very professional. Room very big and spacious.
Pool could do with a little updating.
We really liked his place however, one massive issue spoiled our whole experience. It was such a shame as the staff are amazing here.
When we come to UG we do voluntary work and it can be quite difficult. So we had booked this establishment for one night to disconnect before travelling home. Our plan was to use the facilities, the pool, restaurant and spa.
In the morning at breakfast the manager, lady from the USA was conducting a meeting right in the restaurant. The hotel were recruiting staff. The manager and a group of other proceeded to discuss the applicants and it was disappointing to hear the comment made about the candidates. This was highly inappropriate and unprofessional.
Then more candidates arrived for interview and were sitting close by. Maybe 8 people. The interviews were held in the restaurant so we felt too uncomfortable to use the pool right beside the area. We had already heard the suggested salary for some candidates and other sensitively information and this was extremely disappointing. We are very aware of the struggles for employment in Uganda and we left feeling very deflated that an establishment can’t do better for their staff.

The location is close to the airport and a taxi (usd 10) will take you there in 10 -15 minutes
The hotel is outdated and needs urgently renovation. The bathroom was full of mould, the mattresses were overused, everything looks very old. We bought an insect spray and we found mozzies, flies and cockroaches. We stayed only a couple of hours before our flight so we survived. We ate at the hotel and food was tasty but the beef was the worst we had during 10 days Uganda.

Es gab in unserem Zimmer kein warmes Wasser. Es war aber warm genug, so das man auch kalt duschen konnte.
Very well situated for the airport and a short walk from the lake. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff
The room lacked comfortable chairs, and had several poorly marked steps of variable heights. Not ideal for someone with mobility problems. Slippery tiles in the bathroom. The hotel is in my view somewhat over-priced for a two star.
